Day 1 – Arrival Santiago

Day 2 – Santiago
Morning at leisure.
This afternoon meet your guide in your hotel and depart towards the Mercado Central.
Lunch at Mercado Central.
After lunch guided visit of Santiago.
Santiago, the Chilean capital has always had its measured charms – fine dining, landscaped parks, a
famous seafood market and the stunning backdrop of the Andes Mountains, but in recent years it
has undergone a transformation. In celebration of Chile’s 200th anniversary, the city poured millions
of pesos into the construction of sleek new cultural centers, thoughtful museums and gorgeous green
parks such as the Bicentennial.
The upscale neighborhoods of Vitacura and El Golf bloomed with stylish new art galleries and a flurry
of new hotels started drawing trendy celebrities to its rooftop bars. Of course, Santiago's greatest
feature remains its ideal location, ski slopes are 31 miles to the east, the Pacific Ocean is 62 miles to
the west, and exclusive wineries are found in just about every direction.

Day 3 – Maipo Valley
This morning meet you guide after breakfast and then depart to the Maipo Valley.
One of Chile’s largest and most historically significant wine regions, the Maipo Valley has the nation’s
capital city of Santiago at its heart. The valley includes more than 30,000 acres of vineyards, more than

half of which are dedicated to Cabernet Sauvignon. For the past 150 years, vines have grown to the
north of the city, while thousands of acres of vines also thrive in the fertile passageway that extends
southwest of Santiago!
Winemakers insisted that no other place in Chile has the terroir of Maipo Alto. They were keen to
note that the upper Maipo offers hillsides with multiple exposures to the sun, warm days and cool
nights, little to no rainfall during the late portion of the growing season, and most important of all,
alluvial soils that allow for proper drainage and impart mineralogy into the grapes, and hence the
wines.
In the 1850s the Maipo Valley is where Chile’s wine industry began; today the region and its Cabernet
Sauvignons still largely define Chilean wine.
This morning visit and tasting at Concha y Toro vineyards. Enjoy the Marques de Casa Concha wine
tour, through the park and gardens, vineyards and wine cellar, and wine tasting including the
centenarian Casillero del Diablo, the wine legend.
Few places in the world are as suitable for wine production as Chile, a country with an exceptional
geography and climate for the growing of grapes. The breezes from the Pacific Ocean, the protection
of the Andes mountains, perfectly balanced soils and crystalline rivers flowing down from the
mountains make ideal climatic conditions for growing the most noble varieties, and act as natural
barriers that protect the vineyards. Over time, Concha y Toro has identified and developed a broad
diversity of terroirs in order to create unique wines that express their place of origin.

Continue to Santa Rita Vineyards. Visit and tasting at the winery and lunch in the estate restaurant Doña Paula.
Visiting Santa Rita’s vineyard is a fascinating trip around the cultural heritage of Chile and its wine
tradition, located just 45 minutes away from Santiago, at the foothill zone of Alto Jahuel, in Buin. The
vineyard is surrounded by an extraordinary natural environment, where the wine tradition, national
culture and local gastronomy coexist. Viña Santa Rita’s vast experience, in conjunction with the
latest technology, is reflected in the making of high quality wines that have earned major awards and
distinctions in Chile and abroad over the course of its 120 years. You will enjoy a guided premium
tour through the vineyards, park and church, starting at the winery and finishing at the wine bottling
process. You will also visit the historic “bodegas”. The tour finishes with a wine tasting of select and
aged wines.
Return to your hotel at the end of the day.
Day 4 - Aconcagua Valley
Meet your guide in your hotel and depart to the Aconcagua valley.
The Aconcagua Valley has a Mediterranean climate with warm summers that are cooled by breezes of
the Pacific Ocean and its cold Humboldt Current. This cooling influence creates a long growing season
with ripening some two to three weeks later than any other Chilean wine region. Late ripening
enhances the flavours, intensity and concentration of our wines. Average rainfall in the valley is

250mm (9.8 inches) and only comes during the winter; this is about a quarter of the rainfall in
Bordeaux, making for generally more concentrated wines.
This lack of rain helps the viticulturalists to control vigour and berry size, as well as to maintain
ripening. As the air is warm and dry, fungal diseases like mildew and botrytis are unknown in the valle
de Aconcagua, this allows to pursue a non-interventionist, sustainable approach to viticulture.
Tasting and visit at Von Siebenthal Vineyards.
Mauro von Siebenthal, a Swiss lawyer and wine aficionado, had a dream. In 1998, with the financial
support of four friends, Viña Von Siebenthal finally became a reality. Viña Von Siebenthal's
harmonious philosophy has produced an extremely elegant wine which eloquently expresses the
extraordinary characteristic of the Valle de Aconcagua terroir.
Through careful study of soil and sunlight exposure, they have determined the areas best suited to the
various grapes. For the Merlot and the Cabernet Franc it is the cool clay-limestone soil of the plains,
while the warm sandy, stony soil of the hills is ideally suited for the Cabernet Sauvignon, the Syrah, the
Carmenère and the Petit Verdot. Viña Von Siebenthal's cellar is an elegant mix of state-of-the-art
technology and respect for the architectural traditions of the Chilean "casona", the traditional colonial
style country mansion.

Chile is a land of soaring Andes Mountains, a mild Mediterranean climate, and fine wines. From the

Don Maximilano Errázuriz founded Viña Errázuriz in 1870 in the Valley de Aconcagua, 100 kms north
of the capital city, Santiago. Recognizing that this valley, with its cool, rainy winters, hot, dry summers
and moist Pacific Ocean breezes, was ideal for growing grapes, Don Maximiano sent for the finest
clones from France and with tenacity and perseverance transformed this barren land into a world-class
vineyard. Errázuriz’s philosophy is best expressed by Don Maximiano who said, “From the best land,
the best wine.” As an estate winery, Viña Errázuriz strives to produce the finest wines by controlling
every stage of the winemaking process, right from the grapes growing in the Aconcagua.

Day 5 – Casablanca Valley
Check out of your hotel and depart with your guide to the Casablanca Valley.
Casablanca Valley, situated on the coastal plain between Santiago and Valparaiso, is Chile’s fastest
growing wine region. The Casablanca Valley is relatively new to the wine industry with wine
production beginning as late as the mid-1980s. As a young valley of premium wines, Casablanca
Valley boasts a large number of modern cellars with the highest winemaking technology, many of
them boutiques wineries. Despite its late start wine production in the Casablanca Valley has gained
recognition in particular for the white wine production of splendid crisp Chardonnay and Sauvignon
Blanc, but also for some stunning reds such as Pinot Noir, Merlot and Syrah. Casablanca Valley is one

of the cooler wine regions in Chile. It has a Mediterranean climate similar to California’s Los
Carneros AVA, which includes parts of Sonoma and Napa counties. Soil and climate favours the
production of top quality Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. Cool misty nights and hot days provides
excellent growing conditions.
Visit to Casas del Bosque Vineyards.
A magic and unique place, with a privileged view, where you can feel the coastal breezes coming from
the Pacific ocean and where we will find an old Hawthorne, a typical native Chilean tree, who will
welcome and invite you to enjoy a quiet moment in order to appreciate the impressive view of the
valley. It is well worth the visit to this place, from where you have absolute dominium over all the
Casas del Bosque vineyards and where you can appreciate the different red and white varieties that
are found in the valley. To taste these wines with the local canapé is a must . The Winemaker Chief ,
who seek the perfect balance between the regional gastronomy and the excellent Casas del Bosque
wines, using only fresh ingredients coming from local farmers to achieve preparations plenty of
flavors, textures, and at the same time in harmony with our wines.
Continue to Matetic Vineyards. Visit at tasting at the vineyards.
Matetic Vineyards is a magical and inspiring place where the production of organic grapes to
produce high quality wines is combined with a unique wine experience. The winery is located in the
San Antonio Valley. Visit the vineyard and winery and immerse yourself in the world of wine, where

you will enjoy an entertaining tour of the winery’s facilities and a tasting in the Matetic wine cellar.
You may also complement your visit with attractive excursions, on horseback, bicycle or the
special “Chilean Countryside” program, to discover the essence of the Rosario Valley area.

Day 6 – Valparaiso and Viña del Mar
Meet your guide at the hotel to begin the visit of Valparaiso.
Once the most important port in all of South America—full of globe- trotting European residents and
their riches—this city long served as the Continent’s glamorous link to the rest of the world. Locals
(known as porteños) - an incongruous mix of artists, sailors, and students—still gather at the same
century-old bars, while Edwardian villas and Art Nouveau palaces balance on hilltops. Citywide
restoration efforts are now rescuing crumbling landmarks; historic houses are being transformed
into sophisticated restaurants; and notable galleries are heralding the work of native talent.
Funiculars have served Valparaíso since the late 1800s; ride one of these up the hills to look down at
the colorful town fringing the sea below. The port city is the cultural hub of Chile, poet Pablo Neruda
once lived here, and the residents’ creative spirit manifests itself in the vibrant tones of the
multihued homes and the bohemian murals tagging the walls.
Valparaíso is an intricate labyrinth. The best way of discovering it and reaching its identity is by
entering its hills, alleys and most picturesque places. A guide will accompany and inform you while

exploring and unfolding the city. You will experience the most typical places that are absolutely real,
as well as the most famous part, known as the “World Heritage” area. Your guide will explain and
show you the interesting lifestyle that exists in Valparaíso. Charming and magic places, its particular
aesthetic, its neighborhoods and its people will be revealed.
Walking and taking public transport becomes a great adventure in Valparaíso. You will be skin to skin
with the city inhabitants; you will feel like one of them and part of the city. The old lifts are also visited
in this circuit, not only the most popular ones, but also those that are hidden in the midst of the
labyrinth and remain suspended in time.
Return to your hotel at the end of the visit. Dinner on your own and overnight in your hotel.
Day 7 – Valparaiso to Santa Cruz
Depart this morning towards Colchagua Valley (approx. 3.5hrs).
The Colchagua Valley is one of the world’s premier tourist destinations, known for its beautiful
vineyard-covered hills, hundred-year-old vines, enchanting colonial estate houses, and modern high
tech wineries, all of which enhance the beauty of the landscape.
The valley has always had an agriculturally based economy. Its superb climate, the use of leading edge
technology, and tireless human creativity have led to the outstanding development of its winegrowing
and winemaking industry, which has produced wines that are among the best in the world. The zone’s
climatic and geographic features combine to create a unique microclimate that is ideal for the
production of different varieties—Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Carmenere, Malbec, and Syrah, just to

name a few—and this is reflected today in the high quality of its wines, which have received major
international awards and been recognized in key wine industry magazines and other publications.

Afternoon visit and tasting at Santa Cruz Vineyards.
Nestled in Colchagua’s Lolol region, the sprawling Santa Cruz Winery was launched in 2006 by local
entrepreneur, Carlos Cardoen. Vina Santa Cruz offers an enjoyable cable car ride over the vineyards
which transports visitors to a hilltop to tour housing representations of the Mapuche, Aymará, and
Rapa Nui indigenous groups here in Chile.
The winery’s small observatory boasts the most powerful telescope in Chile outside of Chile’s
astronomical observatory. On Friday and Saturday nights, Viña Santa Cruz offers a highly
recommended “tour through the cosmos,” which allows visitors to stargaze at galaxies and
constellations through the winery’s high-powered telescope. Also featured at Viña Santa Cruz is the
Museo del Automóvil which showcases a large collection of vintage cars, from 1890 to the 1980′s – an
example of the evolution of the automotive industry.

Day 8 – Colchagua Valley
Meet your guide this morning and depart to Lapostolle Vineyards.
Visit and tasting at Lapostolle Vineyards. Lapostolle was founded by Alexandra Marnier Lapostolle and
her husband Cyril de Bournet in 1994. The Marnier Lapostolle family, founders and owners of the
world-renowned liqueur Grand Marnier, is famous for producing spirits and liqueurs, but the family
has also been involved in winemaking for generations.
In creating Lapostolle, the family has pursued the same uncompromising approach to quality that
made Grand Marnier a global success. Its objective is as simple as it is ambitious: to create worldclass wines using French expertise and the superb terroirs of Chile. Lapostolle winery is located in
the town of Cunaco, right next to Santa Cruz. It is the original winery, where Lapostolle was founded in
1994 and today it is here where Casa and Cuvée Alexandre wines are produced.
Lunch at Viu Manent Vineyard, Rayuela Wine & Grill restaurant. After lunch visit and tasting at the
winery.

In 1966 Miguel Viu Manent fulfilled his long-time dream of making his own wines when he acquired
the Hacienda San Carlos de Cunaco in Colchagua. This traditional estate included 150 hectares of
vineyards planted to noble, pre-phylloxera vines, as well as a winery and manor house.
Enjoy a full rounded experience with Viu Manent wines. In a vintage horse-drawn carriage, travel
through time visiting the winery, vineyards, cellars and “La Llaveria”, a XXth century Estate that
faithfully illustrates Chilean epoch architecture. Then, visit the vineyards, the cellar, wine-making
process and of course a wine tasting.
Return to Santa Cruz.
Day 9 – Colchagua to Santiago
This morning enjoy a visit to the museum of Colchagua.
One of the best museums in Chile if not Latin America, this attractive museum, built in colonial style at
the end of the 20th century, focuses on the history of the region back to pre-history It's the largest
private natural-history collection in the country, and second only in size to Santiago's Museo
Nacional de Historia Natural. Exhibits include pre-Columbian mummies; extinct insects set in amber
viewed through special lenses; the world's largest collection of silver work by the indigenous
Mapuche; and the only known original copy of Chile's proclamation of independence. A few early
vehicles and wine-making implements surround the building.
Later this morning depart for a visit, tasting and lunch at Vik Holistic Vineyards.
After 2 years of painstaking hunting and soil analysis In 2006, Alexander Vik chose the best terroir in
his opinion with optimal climatic conditions for grape growing and purchases 4,325 hectares (10,688

acres) in Chile. The specific location chosen was the Millahue Valley, or “Place of Gold”, as named by
the indigenous people, located on the north slope of Chile's Apalta Valley. Here “VIK” was born and it
embodies the perfect fusion between man, experience, land, climate and the most advanced
technology. Our vineyard, or “Place of Gold”, is located in the interior of the valley among
innumerable gorges, offering us a variety of unequaled terroir and small microclimates.
This morning afternoon depart towards Santiago.

Day 10 – Departure
This morning you will be transferred to Santiago international airport to board your flight back home.

A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required at time of booking

Unless otherwise specified, no insurance is included in the prices we offer. Into the Vineyard suggests that you
purchase travel insurance, against the following risks, personal injury, trip cancellation, trip interruption,
repatriation and loss of luggage. Ask your advisor for a quote.
No rooms or excursions have been held at the moment. Availability and price are guaranteed at time of
booking.
In case of cancellation of a booking, the customer must inform Into the Vineyard by a recorded delivery letter
with acknowledgement of receipt, as early as possible: the date of the acknowledgement of receipt will be
considered as the cancellation date in order to calculate the cancellation fee.
For trips including land services (“a la carte” tours, itineraries for individuals) and travel packages, the
cancellation fee will be as follows:
Into the Vineyard reserves the right to adjust the trip price based on market currency fluctuations, any variation
in the currency exchange between currency of payment and currency of country(s) of travel posted by the
Federal Reserve of America that is in excess of 3% at time of final payment can be added to the cost of the trip
at time of final payment. To guarantee the aforementioned quoted price you retain the option to pay the full
amount at your discretion.
As far as possible, Into the Vineyard will satisfy amendment requests. If these requests concern an extension of
the stay, an increased number of persons, or the purchase of additional services, these amendments will be
charged in addition to the original price. For any other amendment, a fee per person will be charged.

Some international and in-country or regional airfares have advance purchase and ticketing requirements which
will be communicated at time of reservation. Additional payment to cover the costs of the airline tickets will be
requested in order to issue the tickets. Airline tickets carry penalties as per rules of the fare. Penalties are also
imposed for any changes to the air reservations made after ticketing.
We reserve the right to request additional deposits if required by hotels and suppliers. This will be
communicated at time of confirmation of booking.
Any complaint for non-fulfillment or poor fulfillment of the travel contract should be made on the spot and
referred either to the offending provider of service or to Into the Vineyard. The complaint must describe the
grievance and be made within 24 hours.
If you have not obtained satisfaction, please send your complaint through registered mail, and join all written
evidence within 15 days after the end of your trip. The length of our investigation will determine the delay in
our response to your complaint.
Into the Vineyard shall not be held liable for any inconvenience due to loss/theft of plane tickets at the customs
or check-in, non-presentation, or presentation of documents (ID card, passport, visa, vaccination certificate,
etc.) which have expired or have an insufficient period of validity or do not conform to the indications on the
back. In case of a failed check-in, there will be no refund of the package fare.
Unexpected incidents due to a third party: wars, political upheavals, strikes external to Into The Vineyard,
technical hitches external to Into The Vineyard, congestions on the roads or in the air space, hijacking, bankrupt
of a service provider, bad weather, delays, engine failures, thefts of luggage or other goods. No refund of any
kind will be made because of delays and itinerary changes due to the incidents mentioned above – e.g. change
in the length of the tour initially planned or of a connection. Possible additional expenses (taxes, hotel, parking)
will be payable by the customer.
Cancellations imposed by circumstances of the greatest importance and/or linked to the customer’s safety,
and/or on the command of an enforcing authority. Into The Vineyard reserves the right to modify planned
dates/times/itineraries if the customer’s safety cannot be ensured. The customer cannot claim any refund.
Services that will not be used (transfers and excursions) will not be refunded. Services that are voluntarily
modified on the spot are subject to our service providers’ conditions: additional services that entail an extra
cost will have to be paid directly by the customer and will not entail Into the Vineyard liability.

UNFORSEEN CIRCUMSTANCES
Trip costs do not include items not specified in the itinerary. Although Into the Vineyard will make every effort
to adhere to this itinerary, on rare occasions it may be necessary to make an adjustment to these
arrangements. Should such adjustment be necessary, a substitute will be offered when and where possible.
Into the Vineyard is not liable for any costs resulting from war or terrorist activities threatened or actual, civil
unrest, closures of airports or seaports, industrial action threatened or any other event outside the control of
Into the Vineyard which causes either delays or extends the holiday or compels a change in the holiday
arrangements.
Into the Vineyard reserves the right to substitute hotels or services of equal or greater quality
Into the Vineyard cannot accept liability for any resulting loss, damage or expense and any refund will be
subject to deduction of reasonable expenses.

A valid Passport is required for your trip. A Visa may be required for your trip we recommend checking with
the Consul General of the Country you intend to visit. Into the Vineyard is not responsible for assuring that
