Malnourished Children 2.3 % LGU PPAs being Implemented A.1 Supplemental Feeding Program A.1 Supplemental Feeding Program • Funded by Sangguniang Barangay as maintenance of their malnourished children ages 0-5 years • Feed the children twice a week for 3-6 months • Mothers of the malnourished children prepare the simple menu but nutritious foods Ex. Sopas with vegetables, champorado, arozcaldo, pansit with vegetables • Other Sangguniang Barangays provide multivitamins for the children undergoing feeding program. • the municipal government provides technical assistance and some logistical support A.2 PABASA (Nutrition Education Program) • Sangguniang Barangay funded to purchase 15 Nutri-Guide and participants snacks for the success of PABASA program for the mothers of malnourished children and soon-to-be mothers • As support of the LGU, the Municipal Mayor allotted fund to purchase additional 10 Nutri-Guide and Flip Chart for each barangay. • Conducted once a week for two months a year. • some midwife, nurse, OAS staff and the MNAO attend the PABASA 5 A.3 Counseling A.3 Counseling • LGU organized three groups composed of counselors from different social services: religious, health, employment, agricultural and social welfare. • Participants at least (25) twenty five identified couples and/or children/youth gathered by barangay officials on a scheduled date • LGU also prepared gifts and snacks to encourage couples to attend • the usual participants are the parents of the malnourished children, parents of OSY, HHs who belong to poverty and food threshold, HHs without access to sanitary toilet facility, without access to safe water… B. Household w/o access to safe water 11.9% B.1 Barangay Water Works B.1 Barangay Water Works • LGU funded a program which focuses on distribution of PE Pipe as mainline and secondary connection prioritizing the income poor family • The barangay water works started from the Provincial Government fund • the organization of water-users was assisted by the Provincial Planning and Development Office C. Household w/o access to sanitary toilet facility 13.1% C.1 Sanitation Program • Distribution of water-sealed toilet bowl with construction materials to bona fide recipients • LGU allotted fund yearly amounting Php 5, 000. 00 each set for income poor family w/o access to sanitary toilet facility • Sangguniang Barangay allocate fund also for the program • As encouragement, municipal government’s counterpart is same as the barangays’ allocation 6 C.1 Sanitation Program D. Household with income below poverty & food threshold 61.1% & 41.0% D.1 Implementation of Livelihood/ Entrepreneurship Development Program • Geared towards uplifting the economic living condition of the Rosarians, through the provision of access to livelihood opportunities, various skills training program, fund augmentation, advocacies and social mobilization. • Sangguniang Barangay will identify the skills training that will fit to g y their constituents and available resources in the barangay • Municipal Training and Livelihood Center, with coordination to DOST, TESDA and DTI, will bring the skills training to the barangays for free • Part of promotion of OBOP ( One Barangay One Product) Ex. Kaing Making of Barangay Nasi • Livelihood Loan Assistance to different organizational structure as a capital for their identified livelihood program Ex.
