One and Two Component Polyurethane Adhesives Strength • Reliability • Innovation Chemique is a leader in the manufacture and supply of high performance industrial adhesives and adhesive application equipment, offering specialist bonding solutions to industries including construction, transport, marine and commercial production. Solfre is an extremely versatile range of adhesives Solfre Range Chemique’s Solfre portfolio of products is a range of one and two component polyurethane adhesives for panel lamination, using both foam and honeycomb core materials. They can be used to bond a wide range of substrates, including metals, plastics, woods, foams etc. Solfre Adhesives are used in many adhesive sectors, including: • • • • SIPS Panels Architectural Panels Insulation Panels Building Panels- for use in clean rooms, portable buildings and cold storage • Transportation Panels - Motorhomes, truck body, train and marine Adhesive Application The Solfre Range can be applied manually or automatically by rolling, beading or spraying, making this group of products extremely versatile, with the ability to complement a wide variety of production methods and requirements. Full Adhesive Range To complement the Solfre range, Chemique also offers a large portfolio of products which include: • • • • Structural adhesives Water-based adhesives Sealants Primers Products Solfre1 Solfre1 is a one component polyurethane adhesive suitable for a range of applications. This adhesive is available in a variety of standard formulas and open times to suit many different production requirements. Solfre1 has the following benefits: • • • • Moisture cure Variety of working times Cold press adhesive No specialist storage requirements Solfre2 Solfre2 is a two component polyurethane adhesive that offers a unique alternative to epoxies, one part polyurethanes, solvented adhesives, and hot melts. Improved quality of bond Being solvent free, the Solfre2 system overcomes the problem of trapped solvent or moisture pockets and consequent delamination. Lower coat weights By spraying this adhesive, reduced coat weights over conventional polyurethane adhesives have been proven to achieve superior bond performance. Stability in cure times There is no moisture requirement for curing, therefore cure times are not affected by humidity or moisture. Increased cost performance Solfre2 can significantly reduce costs throughout the production process: • Lower coat weights mean less adhesive is needed in comparison to alternative products • Much faster panel production line speeds • Panels can be cold pressed keeping energy costs to a minimum • There are no specialist storage requirements Solfre2 Honeycomb Solfre2 Honeycomb is an extension of the Solfre2 family that has been specially formulated for manufacturing honeycomb panels and composite products. The Solfre2 Honeycomb range combines the unique properties associated with the Solfre2 range giving superior bond strength, while still maintaining low coat weights and flexibility. Unique Rheology Solfre2 Honeycomb adhesives ensure maximum bond strength on minimal contact surface area. The unique rheology of the product allows the adhesive to form a wicking effect on the wall of the honeycomb core, therefore increasing the bond contact surface area. Solfre2 Honeycomb Clear Solfre2 Honeycomb Clear is a unique transparent adhesive that is ideal for bonding glass, clear acrylic or polycarbonate sheets to a wide variety of metallic polymeric materials.
