UN POQUITO DE NOSOTROS...
A Little About Us...

According to the legend, the most representative Mexican gastronomy dishes such as “Mole
poblano and Chiles en Nogada” were created in the old Convent of Santa Rosa’s kitchen in Puebla.
Sor Andrea de la Asunción, nun of the convent ,was at the origin of these recipes. She had the innate
talent to blending flavors and aromas.
Inspired by the most beautiful colonial cuisine of Mexico, with ancient and colonial recipes
of Sor Andrea de la Asunción, David and Ita Reyes decided to continue the family tradition of more
than 30 years by opening the Fonda Santa Rosa in Houston. Their conviction is reflected everyday
in the richness and authenticity of the food you are enjoying today at Fonda Santa Rosa.
A culinary and familiar tradition merged into Fonda Santa Rosa
