The fourth album by Swedish super trio MUSICMUSICMUSIC hits the market on the 20th of February. The sound is as new
and evolving as ever and has now reached a clear, no-fuss, core groove with an earthy tone and an ingenuous energy. As
always held together by MMM’s tight and alert ensemble play.
The recording is made in a large room to acquire a big sound and a live quality. But in spite of space the band sits close
together, playing snugly without screens or headphones. The outcome is this album’s fundamental aim; a feel and an
expression close to how MMM sounds on stage.
The music on ”Everybody Digs” consists of original compositions by the pianist Fabian Kallerdahl as well as reworkings of
two immortal classics. The old evergreen which at the beginning of the millennium provided inspiration for the band’s
name (“music music music, put another nickel in”) gets the MMM treatment. The album also contains a cover of Steve
Miller’s “The Joker”, featuring the legendary blues guitarist Bengan Blomgren.
Since the last album ”Macbeth” was released in autumn 2006, MMM has continued to gain ground both in Sweden and
abroad. 2007 has been a year of touring for the band, with concerts in Sweden and Europe and guest appearances in New
York and at the Bangkok Jazz Festival.
The members of the band are the same as at the start in 2003: Fabian Kallerdahl, piano, Michael Edlund, drums and Josef
Kallerdahl, bass.
