It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to Waukesha Catholic’s annual
fundraising dinner and auction. Our theme, “AMERICANA - Grounded in our
Roots, Reaching for the Stars” acknowledges the deep roots of Catholic education in
the United States, our steep traditions, and the dedication of our stakeholders, past
and present, who have made Waukesha Catholic a “shining star” in our community.
It is these roots that continue to nourish the education and formation of every one
of our students.
At Waukesha Catholic, tuition alone does not completely cover the cost of a child’s
education. For that reason, funds raised at tonight’s auction help maintain the
financial health of Waukesha Catholic. Your generosity will allow us to fulfill
our mission and to “reach for the stars” by providing programming and resources
necessary that will allow our students to lead Christ centered lives and build a
better world.
This evening is the result of months of thoughtful preparation by the Auction
Committee. I want to thank our event chair, Ken Walter, and the entire committee
for their tireless work and the countless hours spent making this evening possible.
I’d also like to take this opportunity to thank our corporate and individual sponsors
along with the impressive list of advertisers and donors for their contributions.
Please, if you see them, make sure to thank them for their support.
From the dedicated work of volunteers to the unwavering support of our current/
past school families, alumni, parishioners, and friends, we are repeatedly reminded
of the rich blessings we enjoy as members of the Waukesha Catholic Community.
Thank you again for being part of this important evening and for your continued
support. The collective impact of our many gifts will provide for an even more
rewarding and positive education for OUR children.

Welcome to Americana - Grounded In Our Roots, Reaching For The Stars,
As the chairperson for the second year, I am so very thankful that you are joining us for
Waukesha Catholic’s annual fundraising auction and dinner. As you will see by all the items,
decorations, and volunteers, many hours of hard work and dedication have made this event
possible. lt will most certainly be a fun evening of socializing, dining and bidding (lots of
bidding, I hope). And remember, all the money raised will continue to make the children’s
academic experience at Waukesha Catholic even more amazing.
I would like to extend a huge THANK YOU to all the committees, volunteers and
Waukesha Catholic staff for their time and energy in planning this event. It is very
rewarding to see so many working together for the betterment of our schools and our
children’s education. We are also so very blessed to be a part of the Catholic Community of
Waukesha comprised of four wonderful parishes; Waukesha Catholic simply would not exist
without the love and support of these parishioners from the four congregations.
Most importantly, I need to recognize the generosity and thoughtfulness of our sponsors,
advertisers and the dozens of supporters who have graciously donated goods and services
to make this fundraiser a success. As always, they continue to outdo themselves offering up
interesting and exciting items that are pleasing to all tastes and budgets.
So again, thank you for your presence at the auction and your continued commitment to
Waukesha Catholic and its mission to provide the highest quality education while fostering

Waukesha Catholic student for the 2014-2015 school year (maximum dollar value of $3,221).
Odds of winning are great!! Tickets are $25 each or 3 for $60. Only 500 tickets will be sold.
Reaching for the Stars11 Auction Etiquette
Silent Auction:
1. Upon arrival, each bidder will be given instructions on how to bid with their smartphone or by
using one of the electronic notepads available at the event. Bidding will commence at 5:30
p.m.
2. The bidding starts with a minimum bid and subsequent bids must follow the minimum raise or
a larger amount in the bid increment. The highest bidder wins.
3. Silent Auction Bidding will close at 8:15 for all categories except for the class gifts. Class gifts
will close at 8:25.
4. All successful bidders shall pay for items that evening. Winners may pick up their items in the
check-out area.
5. Please do not remove items from the Auction tables.
Live Auction:
1. The bidding will begin following dinner at approximately 8:30 pm. A Live Auction bid is
entered by raising your bid number and being recognized by the auctioneer. The auctioneer
has the right to determine the increments on each item. The auctioneer has the final
authority to determine the successful bidder or to resell and re-offer the item. The decision
of the auctioneer is final.
2. The auctioneer will determine the successful bidder who will be deemed the buyer.
3. Bid numbers for the Live Auction will correspond with the number provided upon arrival.
General Information:
1. Values being set forth for items being auctioned are estimates submitted by the donor and
not warranted by the Auction Committee for tax purposes or general value. Any amount
paid over fair market value is considered a charitable contribution.
2. EXPRESS CHECKOUT: Payments may be made through Express Checkout using Visa,
Mastercard, American Express, or Discover. Express Checkout allows you to pre-swipe your
credit card when you check in at the Auction. Throughout the evening, all winning Silent
Auction bids, Live Auction bids, raffle tickets, wine cork pull, gift card pull payments, and
donations will be charged to your pre-registered credit card. Personal checks will also be
accepted at the end of the evening at check out.
3. Checkout will close at 11:00 pm. If not using Express Checkout, you must pay for items prior
to 11:00 pm.
4. All Sales are Final. No exchanges or refunds will be made.

Hand Gun Training
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to fire a hand gun or to try a different
type of gun? You and your three guests will be coached by a certified NRA
pistol instructor at an indoor gun range in Waukesha. Those with less experience will be
given basic safety instruction and the chance to use one handgun for 50-70 rounds.
Those with gun handling experience can try up to 4 hand guns with up to 25 rounds per
gun. Hand guns and ammunition will be furnished. This experience can be scheduled at
a mutually agreed upon date and time.

prints! These adorable tiles have been painted and fit into a handcrafted wooden framed
mirror by the children that will be cherished for years to come.
