The Animal Rescue League of Berks County’s premier fundraiser is coming
up on November 7th at the Crowne Plaza and we need your support! This
year’s gala theme, Rockin’ Country, will keep you on your feet all night
long! Our event begins at 5 p.m. with a cocktail hour. Guests can learn how
to shake a leg by taking a free line dancing lesson, test their courage on
the mechanical bull and check out our Texas-sized raffle. We’ll sit down for
dinner at 6 p.m. and then present the successes of 2015, and our goals for
2016. Following the program, tighten your boot straps and get ready for a
high-energy live auction. After dinner, put your dance lessons to the test,
and dance the night away to live band Green Tea Revival!
We invite you to highlight your company and services at this outstanding
event by choosing a sponsorship or by donating an item that the ARL can
raffle or auction off to our guests! These items can include gift certificates,
themed baskets or larger items such as vacation and event packages. Feel
free to be creative! Once you have decided how your company will support
the ARL, please fill out the attached commitment form and return it to us.
Since 1952, the ARL has been caring for Berks County’s lost, homeless and
abandoned animals by providing food, shelter and medical care. The ARL
also offers a myriad of services to our community like low-cost spay/neuter
surgery, vaccinations, dog licensing and programs like Patriotic Paws which
allows qualified veterans to adopt a companion for free and ARL Angels
which provides medical care and foster homes to animals in need.
The ARL is the only Berks County based organization with staff dedicated
to investigating animal cruelty in our community. We love what we do,
but the vast amount of animals we serve and the services we offer comes
at an exorbitant cost. Sponsoring our event or donating an item to our
auction will ensure the funds we need to continue caring for these animals.

EVENT FACTS & HIGHLIGHTS
2015 ARL Gala Committee:
• Consistently increase attendance each year with close to
400 guests in 2014 and a goal of 500 guests in 2015
• Media sponsorship by Y-102 secured for 2015 which will
provide a much larger audience exposure for the gala than
we’ve ever had before

more than 10,000 members of our community
• Offers corporate engagement through event participation
at a lively, fun and meaningful event

organization that saves the lives of thousands of homeless
pets each year

MAKES A DIFFERENCE
Since 1952, tens of thousands of animals have been spared the fate
of uncertainty and given the opportunity to experience a more
enriching and humane life through the services provided by the
Animal Rescue League of Berks County, Inc. At any given time we
care for over 200 animals a day ranging from rabbits to horses on
our 10 acre facility.
Beyond offering low cost spay and neuter surgeries, vaccine clinics,
and euthanasia services to the public, we accept and care for all stray
animals in our community, along with owner-surrendered pets. We
work to eliminate animal cruelty and public health concerns with an
active humane investigation team. We re-home animals to families
seeking a pet, educate our community and school groups through
tours, seminars and classes, and provide relief to families who need
short term assistance with feeding and caring for their pets. When
necessary, we offer emergency boarding of pets during times of
natural disaster, domestic disputes and financial crisis.
The ARL is Berks County’s largest open admission shelter and
operates with just a 1.5 million dollar budget which requires a
strategic allocation of funds. Even with the most frugal spending, the
ARL is often faced with challenges in funding the above services and
programs that make the shelter unique.
