If you truly want to get the best out of your vacation, you will want to stay at one of the oceanfront accommodations. After years of staying out on Coastal Highway and other various Rehoboth DE Hotels , our family caved and decided to check out some of the oceanfront condominiums and hotels. Let me tell you, we will NEVER go back to our old ways. That brings us to our first way to have the best vacation in Rehoboth... Stay in one of the hotels right on the beach or boardwalk Contrary to belief, it totally enhances your entire vacation. Not to mention that you can literally walk right to the beach or boardwalk right from your accommodation. And where else can you get beautiful ocean views and breezes? Direct Oceanfront Accommodations in Rehoboth Beach: 1) The Henlopen Hotel And Condominiums 2) Star Of The Sea Condominiums 3) Edgewater House Condominiums 4) The Atlantic Sands Hotel 5) Virginia Avenue Condominiums 6) The Boardwalk Plaza Hotel There are also a number of Rehoboth Beach oceanblock hotels you can stay at. It’s no wonder it was named one of the top boardwalks in the This is where all the action happens! You can’t possibly go on a Rehoboth vacation without walking and spending time on the boardwalk. If you are travelling with your family, this is the place to go for some fun. There are arcades, amusement park rides, mini golf, tasty snacks and more. Not to mention all the little beach shops up and down the strip. Stop At Funland! Funland is definitely part of having a great Rehoboth Beach vacation. In fact, our family can be seen here almost every night of the week when we are in town. There are tons of amusement park rides for the entire family, including the classic Haunted Mansion. (It gets better and better every year!) There are also tons of games, like Whac-A-Mole, Goblet Toss and even Horse Races. If you enjoyed this small guide, please tell your friends about www.RehobothBeachFever.com Rent Bikes, Mopeds & Scoot Coupes Riding bikes or renting mopeds are big hits in Rehoboth Beach. There are so many flat, non-traffic congested areas to ride around with your family. Rent good old fashioned bicycles at Bob’s Bike Rental on 1st Street. (Right across from Nicaboli) His shop has affordable rates and you can rent bikes for a few hours, days or even a week! If you are looking for more adventure, head over to Scooter City Rentals! You can rent a Moped or Scoot Coupe. (A Scoot Coupe is a motorized car with four wheels.) Top Places To Ride Around Rehoboth: 1) Silver Lake Drive 2) Henlopen Acres 3) Back roads parallel to Rehoboth Avenue What's a Rehoboth Vacation without renting a fun car or bike to drive around the area? (And having my Dad lose control of his moped as he flies across some guy's yard?) This is definitely a must-do on our list. In fact, it comes before a lot of our other activities. Heck, we even skipped the beach on a bright and sunny day just to rent a Scoot Coupe! These are lots of fun! If you enjoyed this small guide, please tell your friends about www.RehobothBeachFever.com Watch The Sunrise On The Beach Rehoboth Beach has some of the best beach sunrises you will ever experience. Luckily, the sun rises right over the water during the summer time. Get up early, around 5 A.M., set up your beach chair, sit back and relax while you watch the sunrise right over the water. (Another good reason to stay at an accommodation right on the beach/boardwalk!) You may even be able to watch from an oceanfront balcony. Be sure to check the weather ahead of time. Sometimes clouds or fog can effect your ability to see clearly. My Sister and I discovered this back during the summer of 2010. We got up super early to watch the sunrise over the ocean! And it was well worth it. Knowing our Family, it's hard to imagine getting up that early. We literally had to set an alarm and force ourselves to get up. You may feel the same! One word of advice... if you are staying near the ocean, don't miss the opportunity to see one of these gorgeous moments! It's more beautiful than anything I ever imagined! Stop For Ice Cream What’s one of the greatest things you can do on a hot summer evening in Rehoboth? Stop for some delicious homemade ice cream… Royal Treat on Wilmington Avenue, has the best ice cream in all of Rehoboth. Choose from a number of different flavors, toppings and even create your own sundae! Favorite treat: Brownie sundae with two scoops of vanilla ice cream, dark chocolate sauce, whipped cream and a cherry. Royal Treat also serves delicious breakfast daily. If you enjoyed this small guide, please tell your friends about www.RehobothBeachFever.com Play Mini Golf Part of a Rehoboth Beach vacation just has to include a game or two of mini golf. Here are some of the best mini golf places in RB! For beachfront mini golf, try Ryan’s Mini Golf right on the roof of Ryan’s Gems and Junk store. (Right on the boardwalk!) The views of the beach are great, and rates are affordable. Another great mini golf place is Shell We Golf out on 19366 Coastal Highway in Rehoboth. There are also many close Delaware county golf courses for anyone looking to play a round of regular golf! Visit The Beach The Delaware shore itself is a great place to relax with the family for the afternoon. There is no entry fee, and you can stay as long as you wish. If you stay in an oceanfront accommodation, you can walk right onto the beach with your gear. Enjoy the Atlantic ocean to it’s fullest. Some people even choose to buy a boogie board and ride the waves coming in. You can also fly a kite, throw a beach ball around, or lounge. Favorite beach activity: Moving your beach chair to the edge of the water and closing your eyes as you listen to the waves crashing next to you. And yes, the sun can be strong! So be sure to bring plenty of sunscreen. Dad hates sunscreen and refuses to wear it. Instead, he plops a hat on his head and sits under an umbrella. That really only works for so long... Need to rent beach equipment? There are Rehoboth rentals for umbrellas, beach chairs and more. If you enjoyed this small guide, please tell your friends about www.RehobothBeachFever.com Go For A Sail Many people ask how you can sail in waters like the Atlantic Ocean. It is a bit rough for the average hobi-cat boat. However, there is a great place to sail in Rehoboth Beach… Rehoboth has both an ocean side and a bay side. The Rehoboth Bay Delaware Sailing Association, on Highway One, offers all sorts of boat rentals right on Bay. The waters are a lot calmer and sometimes you can get a really good ride if the breezes are right. Take A Ride On The Jolly Trolley Another thing that makes Rehoboth Beach special is the Jolly Trolley... an old fashioned trolley which takes you around the town of Rehoboth into neighboring Dewey Beach and back. For $4.00, you can ride the open air trolley and visit various stops along Rehoboth Avenue. The trolley lets you off right on the bay in DewBeach, Delaware.
