Citizen Test, Corky's International Haute Couture Canine Fashion Show
and Parade, Best Trick Contest, Clicker Training and an Agility Run. Disc Dog
demonstrations on Sunday and Good Dog "U" will offer dog agility demonstrations
and you can bring your dog in the ring and try it out. Also, there will be
dancing with your dog demonstrations and come and meet Jilli Dog,
the world's only Poker playing dog!
All weekend long you and your family can enjoy the Pet Expo in the
Park and the Long Island Family Festival which includes live musical
entertainment at the seaside main stage, a thrilling carnival, inflatable
rides, skateboard competition and exhibitions, pizza pie eating contest,
corvette car show, pirate family show, fabulous food and
many other special events. Admission is free and there is
plenty of parking.

Long Island Pet Expo in the Park

The Third Annual Long Island Family Festival is back again at Tanner Park in the Town of Babylon right on the
beautiful Great South Bay in Copiague, Long Island. Families and attendees can enjoy exciting entertainment,
fun-filled events, live music, first-class carnival, vendors, skate board demonstrations and numerous other
activities throughout the weekend. Admission is FREE and Leashed Pets are welcome.
New to the festival this year is the LI Pet Expo in the Park which is sure to be a highlight to the weekend’s
activities. There will be demonstrations and programs in the dog ring, a pet costume parade and more. Booth
space is being sold on a first-come, first served basis and there are only a limited number of spaces available for
this weekend event in Tanner Park on the Great South Bay. Vendors need to bring their own tent covering and
tables/chairs.

Jilli Dog, the amazing 5-pound Yorkie, known as THE WORLD’S ONLY POKER-PLAYING DOG was rescued from the streets over a decade ago as sickly pup. After Rick
nursed her back to health he began a lifestyle of FUN trick training, and she became
one of the most popular and talented trick dogs in the world, with videos on Youtube,
appearances on TV, as well as performing on live shows and seminars in the US, Sweden,
San Marino and Italy.
Rick and Jilli Dog support many great causes including most of the major animal
rescue organizations including many local shelters! Jilli is a Certified Therapy Dog, and
the Good Will Ambassador to Yorkshire Terrier National Rescue (YTNR).
Jilli will be joined by her brother Spidey Chihuahua, recently crowned “Mr. NYC
Chihuahua King,” and the newest member of the family Ruby, a 3-pound Yorkie,
who both add lots of fun and talent to the act and lessons!
Rick Caran is also a columnist for Yorky Club Magazine, International, where he
writes a training column and a column
covering all sorts of dog happenings and stories!
Linda McNally, The DoggieNanny.com, who’s also Jilli Dog’s personal
photographer, will be there for Q and A, and with her custom line of
belly bands and puppy panties!

Rick and Team Jilli Dog will appear on the main stage as well as at the Jilli Dog area! They will be doing unique
and fun tricks, and will be giving training tips, similar to those offered at the home seminars they do around
the country...
Demonstrations and Events
Rick Caran and Jilli Dog- meet Rick and Jilli, the 5lb Yorkie known as the world’s only poker
playing dog. She is one of the worlds most popular and talented trick dogs in the world. She will be joined
by her brother Spidey Chihuahua and newest member of the family, Ruby, a 3 lb yorkie as Rick
demonstrates fun trick training with your dog.
Agility and Obedience Demonstrations on Sunday by Doggie U - There will also be Agility Run
Throughs for the public where you can try the agility course with your dog!
Clicker Training for your Dog - Clicker training is an animal training method based on behavioral psychology that relies on making desirable behavior and rewarding it. This clear form of communication,
combined with positive reinforcement, is an effective, safe, and humane way to teach any animal any
behavior that it is physically and mentally capable of doing.
Dancing with your Dog - Diana Frohman and her Golden Retrievers will do Dancing with your Dog
demonstrations. Freestyle is the sport of dancing with your dog. It is a wonderful display of
communication and relationship between dog and handler, set to music. “Freestyle is Obedience with
Attitude”!! Freestyle is highly entertaining and it is obvious that both dogs and handlers are having a
great time. Freestyle is open to all breeds of dogs, including mixed breeds. There is a class for everyone,
from juniors to senior citizens.
Canine Fashion Show and Parade - Calling all Dogs to the Corkys International Haute Fashion Show
and Pooch Parade on Saturday at 3pm. bring your canine- mixed breeds and purebred are all welcome to
enter and have a howling good time!
Disc Dog (Frisbee) Demonstrations on Sunday- Learn about the sport of frisbee with your dog. Dan
Huebner from the Mid Atlantic Disc Dogs Club will show you some fun ways to work with your dog and
demonstrate with his dog.
Canine Good Citizen and Therapy Dog Testing will be offered Sat 1-4
and Sun 12-3 . All breeds and mixed breeds are welcome. For the Canine
Good Citizen Test basic manners and obedience skills will be tested on
dogs who are friendly and not aggressive. Dogs must be clean and in
good health and at least 6 months of age. Please bring a small brush to
be used on your dog during the testing. If your dog passes, you will be
given a form to mail to the American Kennel Club who will then send
you a gold sealed certificate.
