The Tomac Type X carbon hardtail isn’t just your run of the mill carbon race bike. It has been
specially designed to be ultra-light yet provide a high degree of lateral rigidity and vertical

Carbide XC
The Tomac Carbide XC is a race-ready suspension bike that kills it on the climbs and rules it on
the descents. The focus is on keeping the weight to a minimum while still maintaining lateral
stiffness. The tubes have been all specially designed to promote rigidity and there is a special
weave process to maintain consistency from tube to tube.

Snyper 140
The Tomac Snyper 140mm is a do-it-all bike that’s designed to pedal up the same rough terrain it
will help you bomb down. Low standover and relaxed head angle ensures that it’s comfortable and
stable for the descents, with a generally upright seated position to make sure you can still climb
efficiently. Projected complete bike weight target is 26 pounds (11.8 kilos), with the frame coming in
just under 7 pounds (3.08 kilos).

*The down tube, seat stays and chain stays see a lot of lateral bending. While round or oval tubes are excellent shapes to counter
torsion, they don’t do much for lateral bending. A box section is the best shape to counter lateral bending, which is why the top
tube, down tube, seat and chain stays are all using box-inspired shapes. This significantly increases the stiffness-to-weight ratio
of the shape in lateral bending while the rounded corners transition the tube at the sides to counteract the torsional loading in
that section.

Primer 220
The Tomac Primer 220 is a race-ready downhill or freeride bike that’s been designed from the ground
up by Doug Bradbury and Mark Landsaat. The bike features optimized geometry, frame tubing and
linkage, and is based off of Johnny T’s original race downhill bikes. Major improvements in the overall
suspension design promise to make the Primer 220 the must have downhill bike for next year.
