You started off as a vamp on TV, only two saas-bahu shows I did, were able industry of ours that has some

■ I think it’s important to vanish sometimes! Honestly, TV can
burn you out badly. Most shows

How would you define the difference between the saas-bahu era
on TV a few years ago and the current one?
■ I believe it’s all about the
economics, it has always been.
Saas-bahus clicked then but
thankfully the trend has changed.
And most of us were eagerly awaiting it! When I started TV, short stories did very well, we had multi-camera set ups, worked 9 am to 6 pm, had
off on Sundays! Those were the days

course. I loved my acting school’s

connected with. Now I understand
there is a technique involved in acting. Some use substitution, some
imagination, and of course everything in between... instinct, knowledge of art and culture, self-study,
keen observation of all kinds of
human behaviour and common
sense. This course abroad made me
feel enlightened, rejuvenated! It is
like I’ve added fresh tools to my tool
kit and sharpened my old tools.

t’s not easy for actors these days to get
good roles, so we were quite surprised
when we heard that Aditya Redij was
planning to quit Na Aana Iss Des Mein Laado
because it was going through a time leap.
When we asked Aditya, he clarified that he
wasn’t walking out of the show or anything of
that sort. “There are plans of a leap in the
show, but I am not leaving the serial of my
own accord. The script demands that.” Of
course, the leap is scheduled to take place two
months later and the actors in the show must
be hoping it doesn’t take place at all. After all
nobody likes to play an older character. But
Aditya says, “I do not have any insecurities
about the whole thing. Rather I am confident
about my capabilities to do good.” Hmmm....

I asked for 7 feet, 4 inches and my brother brought
me 4 feet, 7 inches. If we label what I asked for as A
feet and B inches, which is (12 x A + B) inches, then
I actually received B feet and A inches, which is (12 x
B + A) inches. Which means that:
(5 / 8) x (12 x A + B) = (12 x B + A)
Simplifying gives:
A = (91 / 52) x B
As B is the number of inches, it can only be between
1 and 12 and must give A as a whole number of
feet. B = 4 is the only possible value, which means
