From the President’s Desk
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Welcome to another school year! It’s hard to believe this summer is coming to an end. It
has been a very busy summer at St. Dom’s – Alum Don Dion ’72 graciously offered to match
up to $75,000 in donations toward the scholarship fund. We are blessed with the response
we received as our alumni, parents, staff and friends pushed us past the goal helping us
raise just under $80,000! This amazing outpouring means more and more children will be
able to attend St. Dom’s. While the challenge itself is now complete, donations are certainly
accepted year round.
You will notice several changes this year at our school. We have nine new staff and faculty
members who will build on our already strong academics. The new faculty members will
be found at both campuses, teaching PreK, third grade, Robotics, English, Statistics, CAD,
Science and Physical Education, while new staff members will be a part of our Finance,
Athletics and Admissions offices. Please see the biographies below to learn a little more
about each person.
We have implemented a new software program to manage our operations. The new system,
called RenWeb, includes an online service for checking student grades and progress, which
will replace our current Portal. RenWeb is more user-friendly than our past program and
offers many additional features. We are in the process of moving all the information on
the old system to RenWeb, which should be completed in the near future. I appreciate your
patience during this transition. To learn more about RenWeb and its capabilities, click
here.
Finally, some of you may have noticed a few videos posted on our YouTube page. We are
hoping to expand this communication channel for parents to literally see what is taking
place every day in our classrooms. If you haven’t
already, you can subscribe to our YouTube
channel.
I look forward to the coming year, as we continue
to work hard to deliver the best well-rounded
education to our children. Our St. Dom’s
community is truly blessed!
Take care and God Bless,
Don Fournier, President

St. Dom’s Booster Club
he fall sports season is here and the St. Dom’s Booster Club is reopening the Snack Shack to support
hungry guests and parents. Revenues from the sales will be used to support St. Dom’s athletic and academic
programs.
Many hands make light work and the Boosters ask that every parent with a child in fall sports to please
volunteer for at least one time slot during the season; more is certainly appreciated. To facilitate the sign up
process, use the Sign Up Genius available on the Booster Club’s website. Instructions are posted in the snack
shack on what to do to open, operate and close the snack shack. There are separate sign up slots for the Field Hockey
concessions.
Please take a moment to sign up to receive Booster Club email blasts. This is the best way to receive
updates on upcoming events or changes. The Booster Club always welcomes new members. Meetings are
typically the third Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. at the Auburn Campus.
Thank you in advance for your support and Go Saints!

Student Senate Car Wash
n August 1, members of the Student Senate hosted a car wash to raise funds to finance student activities
for the 2015-2016 academic year.
Mr. Sirois, Sydney Sirois’ dad, offered his business’ location on
the busy Main Street in Lewiston to help attract more motorist. This
strategic location helped make the day’s car wash a big success. Mrs.
Tuttle, mother of senior Dave Tuttle, dropped off buckets and other
cleaning supplies from a previous car wash for her daughter’s senior
class.
“I am pleased to see our students giving up some precious
summer time to begin this important work before the school year begins.
This shows great leadership and is a positive sign that this year will be an
even bigger and better experience,” said President Don Fournier.
The Student Senators wish to thank Mr. Sirois, Mrs. Tuttle and everyone
who stopped in to have their car washed.
