MSBL National Hall Of Fame Adds
Four New Members This Year
By Tom Prendergast
MSBL National President Steve Sigler
has selected four new MSBL / MABL
members for induction into the National
Hall of Fame. Roger Stanley (DC Metro),
Skip Bradley (San Antonio), Jim Tanner
(Terre Haute) and Joe Banasik (Houston).
For the past 16 years, Roger Stanley
and his partner Larry Lombardi have
directed one of the top MSBL and MABL
Leagues in the country. With 91 teams,
they oversee one of the largest leagues
in the nation. Hard work, long hours and
good people have been the secret to
their great success. Roger first joined the
league as a player and then became a
manager and later the next year a director. With a flair for writing software,
Roger came up with a patented software
program made exclusively for the DC
MSBL / MABL. This allows them to maintain a database of over 1500 players,
schedule all their games and keep track
of payments and league statistics.
Known as a by-the-book task master,
Skip Bradley runs a tight ship in San Antonio. Since 1994 he has presided over a
league that started with 6 teams and now
has 36. The league is incredibly organized and well run. One of Skip’s many
qualities is his attention to detail. Since
Skip took over the helm in San Antonio,
their league has been incredibly active in
participating in regional and national tournaments. Since 1994 they have sent 103
teams to the WS, 8 to the Fall Classic, 4
to the Holiday Classic in Disney World
and 1 to the Las Vegas Open.
Jim Tanner became aware of the
MSBL while watching tv back in 1990. He
was watching the Sports Channel network and came across the MSBL World
Series. He was immediately curious to
see how he could get involved in a Men’s
Senior Baseball League. In 1991 the
Terre Haute MSBL made its debut with 4
teams. Since 1992 teams from Terre
Haute have

So California Brewers and West Side Dawgs Remain Unbeaten In 28+ Continental
By Tom Prendergast
Halfway through the pool play round the Atlanta Astros are red hot and undefeated with a
4-0 record. They have scored 35 runs while allowing 19 and are a top the 28+ National
Division. The Astros are hoping to finish in first place and earn a bye into the final game.
In the 28+ Continental Division, two teams remain unbeaten; the So California Brewers
(4-0) and the Westside Dawgs (3-0). The So California Brewers have allowed just three
runs while scoring 25 in their first four games, good for the top spot in 28+ Continental
Division 2. The second place team, the Westside Dawgs are 3 - 0 and have scored 25 runs
while allowing 9.
Rain caused a few problems on Monday as all the afternoon and evening games at the
Peoria Complex were rained out. Two of the games were stopped in the third inning and
those games will be resumed (at the point where they were at when the rains came) where
they left off today. Today’s revised World Series master schedule can be found on page 2.

2005 MSBL / MABL World Series Souvenir Program
This year’s 2005 MSBL/MABL World Series souvenir program
(right) has a new look. Not as bulky as in years past, this year’s
edition includes teams by division, field and map directions, photos of last year’s championship teams, and a year-by-year recap
of past MSBL / MABL WS championship scores by division.
The cover includes the 2005 World Series logo. All of the photos in this year’s World Series program were taken by the
“official” World Series and HardBall photographers - Chris
Denevi and CJ Jones and Norine Rathbone.

a top quality league, Jim really enjoys
getting to play with the kids that he used
to coach in little league.
Since 1997, Joe Banasik has been in
charge of the Houston MABL. After learning about the league through a newspaper advertisement, Joe has been heavily
involved in the growth and day-to-day
business of the league. Joining the
MSBL and MABL was the best decision
that the Houston league ever made.
They originally signed up with the national office just so they could participate
in regional tournaments. As it turned out
becoming part of the nationwide MSBL
and MABL brought them more name recognition and national credibility.
Roger, Skip, Jim and Joe will each receive their awards at the MSBL World
