However until that number is working again, please use one of the other WS office phone lines to call in your games scores or to get information. MONDAY OCTOBER 19th, 2015 Newest MSBL Hall Of Fame Member - Greg Schienda! MSBL WS Office Number (602) 438-6028 MSBL WS Office Number (602) 438-9228 Sunday’s Suspended Games Will Be Completed Later This Week By Tom Prendergast All of yesterday’s rain interrupted games have been suspended and will be completed some time this week. MSBL rules state that in the event of a rained out game, every effort will be made to make up the contest. So it’s our intention to re-schedule all 12 games that were in progress and the 3 games that were rained out on Sunday night. Suspended Games 50+ WB Central Division 3n2 Rangers 3 vs So Cal Sundevils 2 (7th) Aqua Dulce Reds 9 vs Utah Pirates 7 (6th) Rochester Redwings 15 Arizona Angels 3 (6th) 50+ WB Cactus Division 1 MSBL / MABL National President and Founder, Steve Sigler (center) presented Connecticut Navigators player / manager, (and league president) Greg Schienda with his MSBL Hall of Fame award on Sunday morning before his teams game at Tempe Diablo Stadium. 28th MSBL / MABL World Series Gets Underway With 50+ / 70+ Teams Afternoon Thunderstorm Inundate The Valley of the Sun With Torrential Rains! By Tom Prendergast Our 28th year of MSBL / MABL World Series tournament play began yesterday morning on a picture perfect day. Unfortunately it didn’t stay that way. Afternoon Poco Colt 45’s 8 vs Long Island Panthers 6 (6th) showers played havoc with games at Maryvale, Goodyear and Papago. In fact at one point, it was raining so hard you couldn’t see the outfield in Maryvale Stadium. MSBL WS staffer, 50+ Cactus Division 2 Aussie Aces 7 Long Island Yankees 1 (4th) Red Thompson (the mayor of Maryvale), said he was standing in the press box and literally Vermont Red Sox 6 Tri Valley Giants 3 (7th) could not see second base. “It was as if the entire infield was underwater”, he said. Several players who were on Interstate 10 had to pull over because of limited visibility and ended up 50+ WB American Division taking side streets after an accident closed the highway for a time. But as it turned out it just Houston Old Stars 4 Tri Valley 50’s 3 (5th) didn’t matter because of the amount of rainfall was more than the fields could take. Even the 70+ WB American Division fields at the Tempe Diablo Complex finally had to pull the plug after (continued on page 2) DC Nationals 12 vs St Thomas 3 (4th) RC Diamondbacks 6 Sacramento Seals 4 (4th) Des Moines Bruins 3 Diamond Dream Mustangs 3 (8th) Tri Valley Giants 4 Arizona Scorpions 4 (4th) South Dakota (N) 12 San Antonio Texans 3 (5th) Rainouts 50+ Cactus Division Connecticut Navgators vs OK City Dodgers Arizona Monsson vs South Bay Zephyrs 50+ American Boston Wolfpack vs Team Victory 2015 MSBL / MABL WS Daily News page 2 MSBL WORLD SERIES DAILY NEWS The MSBL WS office is located inside Tempe Diablo Stadium (Gene Autry Suite) Located on the second floor Stadium Mailing Address: 2200 W. All of the remaining rules are MSBL and MLB as stated in the WS tournament rules. Torrential Rains Interrupt Sunday MSBL WS Games (continued from page 1) a 1 - 2 punch of severe lightning and buckets of rain. The Phoenix weather has been unusual for this time of year the past week. On Sunday night a flash flood warning was issued for the greater metropolitan area and some roads were closed. Extreme heat, rain and dust storms have played havoc with the normal weather pattern of terrific weather. According to the guys at the Weather Channel after this last front moves out, more normal conditions should return.
