Project Summary

PROBLEM:
In this fast-paced, tech saavy world, time seems
to be slipping by at mega speeds. The emphasis is
about constant sharing, quick results and instant
gratification. How can we shift the emphasis so that
we give our memories lasting value?
TARGET AUDIENCE
THE GARDEN METAPHOR:
Anyone living a fast-paced life that is
looking for time to reflect. Could be
professionals, mothers, teenagers,
more specifically, girls.
The journal is shown visually as a garden
that continually grows every time the
user adds an entry to their time capsule.
The first thought would be planting a seed
and every additional thought helps nurture and grow the seedling into a fully
grown plant or garden depending on
how many entries and how long the user
keeps the time capsule. This encourages
the user to come back to the app to add
entries. Both the user and reciever of the
time capsule will not get to see the fully
grown garden until the day the time capsule is shared so there will be an interest
in seeing the end result.
SOLUTION
NOTEWORTHY is an interactive journal where you can collect and store your
thoughts and memories into a ‘time capsule’ which you are allowed to share after
a specified time (1 month, 3 months, 6
months, 1 year). You can write as much or
as little as you want. But, the more descriptive you are with your memory the
more meaningful the experience will be in
the future for you and the people you’re
sharing your memories with.
In essence, NOTEWORTHY is a private
dumping ground....a personal place to
vent and, at the same time, record a slice
of your life to relive.
