RDS - RESPONSIBLE DOWN STANDARD
The entire HEFEL „The Honest Down“ range (exception: eiderdown) is RDS
(Responsible Down Standard) certified. This certification guarantees that feathers
and down are sourced from ducks and geese farmed in species-appropriate and
healthy conditions. The standard applies to the entire supply chain – from the
farm/poultry farm to the finished product - in order to ensure seamless traceability. The welfare of the animals is the highest priority - this means best conditions
for keeping and feeding the poultry (no force-feeding!) and also a ban on liveplucking.

As is clear from the name, „The Honest Down Certificate“ stands for the
honest down comforter. This means that the filling used in „The Honest Down“
comforter corresponds exactly to what is stated on the label. In addition these
comforters are certified to exclusively contain Class 1 down and feathers as per
EU standard EN 12934. Honesty and sincerity are extremely important fundamental principles and are central to the HEFEL „The Honest Down“ range.
HEFEL has verified that it does not process any goose down obtained from
living birds. Suppliers are carefully checked so as to ensure compliance with this
quality standard. Appropriate animal welfare standards and keeping the geese
in a natural environment are key factors. We guarantee transparent, seamless
documentation for the supply chain.

are therefore proven to be suitable for household dust allergy sufferers. The interaction of climate and warmth in pure down quilts which is so ideally suitable

HEFEL offers two comfort quilting designs for its exclusive „The Honest Down“ comforters. HEFEL
„The Honest Down“ summer and all seasons comforters are available in the exclusive HEFEL Bodyfit
quilting design - a quilting pattern that drapes itself around the body to provide the ideal snug fit.
The winter comforters are available in a choice of designs: HEFEL Bodyfit quilting or the comfort chamber
design - a specially developed system of squares that guarantees optimal distribution of the filling.
Filling + fabric + quilting are in perfect harmony and guarantee the incomparable snugness
