Phal. aphrodite
var. formasanum ‘Varigata’
BS
$ 38
(syn. amabilis v. formosanum)
NEW !
(VARIEGATED form of Species)
Exceptionally high quality full round
pristine white flowers are produced on
this beautifully variegated-leaf clone of
this classic species – making the plant
equally attractive whether in flower or
not ! These plants have just finished
their first flowering & the variegation
on the leaves varies, so it’s best to
select which one you prefer in person !
ONE-OF-A-KIND PLANTS
AWARD QUALITY !
Phal. deliciosa
(Species: selfing of ‘Chibai’ from Taiwan)
BS
$ 28
NEW !
These MICRO MINIS have been
flowering very consistently and very
early on extremely small plants.
Beautiful round leaves & compact
spikes – summer-fall bloomer.
ONE-OF-A-KIND SEEDLINGS !
NOT MERICLONES !
Phal. deliciosa ‘Rheagan’
BS
(SELECT CLONE of Species)
NEW !
‘Rheagan’ has been our most
floriferous & beautifully marked clone
from this species population – and
happily, it gives us a keiki or two each
year. We’ve found that under our
growing conditions this species, like
many Phal. species of its type, prefers
to be grown a little shadier than the
higher-light waxy-flowered summerblooming species.

KEIKI FROM OUR MOTHER
PLANT !
Phal. doweryensis
(RARE Species)
Rarely available, this species is
happiest grown under lower Phal. light.
Produces waxy flowers on very
compact spikes.

Phal. javanica

Not often available, this strain is the
result of a sibbing of two select forms.
Very compact pendulous spikes
produce small flowers cascading over
or between compact round leaves.

MINIATURE SPECIES
ONE-OF-A-KIND SEEDLINGS !
Phal. lindenii
(Species)
The result of sibbing two select clones
of this rarely available species, its
beautifully mottled leaves provide a
backdrop for gracefully cascading
spikes of small peppermint-striped
flowers, beautifully accented with pink
striping & a bright pink flush in the
striped lip.

ONE-OF-A-KIND SEEDLINGS !
Phal. maculata
(VERY RARE Species)
Similar in its bold marks to Phal.
mariae, but producing slightly flatter
flowers with crisp & dramatic deep red
barring on a pure white flower – all on
a very compact flower spike. An easygrowing Phal. species which is always
difficult to find. Will re-flower from old
spikes in addition to producing new.

Phal. mariae
NBS/BS
$ 38
SP
$ 48
(Rarely Available Species)
This species has all but disappeared in
cultivation. Unfortunately, many plants
found their way into this country
mislabeled as Phal. mariae when they
were actually Phal. bastianii. Phal.
mariae is easily recognized by its
perpendicular flower spikes and bold
blotching on its slightly cupped
creamy-white flowers. We’ve already
flowered a few from this population
last July & it is the TRUE Phal. mariae.
Will re-flower from old spikes in
addition to producing new.

FRAGRANT !
ONE-OF-A-KIND SEEDLINGS !
Phal. modesta
BS
$ 42
BS
$ 38
(Species)
Another miniature Phal. species
producing short spikes of petite white
flowers basally, marked with varying
degrees of pink patterning.
ONE-OF-A-KIND SEEDLINGS !
Phal. schilleriana
‘Pink Butterfly’ AM/CCM/AOS
Limited
(Species)
A beautiful spring-flowering species
with beautifully mottled leaves – this
particular clone is an amazingly strong
grower for the species. Adding to its
attractiveness are the beautifully
mottled leaves of this particular clone !
A vigorous grower, unlike many others
of this species, with firm leaves &
heavier substance flowers. Although
we have not had it tested, we suspect
that this re-cloning of ‘Pink Butterfly’
produced a tetraploid population with
its increased vigor and larger flowers.
MULTIFLORAL MINIATURES & COMPACT-GROWING BRIGHTLY COLORED NOVELTIES:
Again, most of these clones were created as a result of the excellent Taiwanese breeding programs.
Selections below were hand-picked from selected nurseries in Taiwan over the last seven years.
Of Special Note: We will also be bringing, to each show, a selection of first-bloom one-of-a-kind seedlings grown
from flasks of brand new directions in hybrid breeding which we’ve obtained and grown to flowering size – they
include hybrids from Brother Orchids, Tying Shin Orchids and several other cutting-edge Taiwanese hybridizers.

Phal. Baby’s Breath ‘Dove’
SP/B
$ 33
(Martha’s Gem x amabilis)
One of the most amazing pure white
multi-floral minis we’ve ever had, right
down to its pristine pure white lip ! Our
mother plant, in just a 3.5” pot, has
produced a 5-branched flower spike –
and the flowers have been open for 4
months already, still holding its oldest
flowers while it continues to form buds !
Very compact leaf span & spike height –
this will set the standard for future mini
white breeding.

MULTI-FLORAL MINI
Phal. Be Glad ‘Peloric’
BS
(Swiss Miss x Cassandra)
NEW !
An adorable PELORIC form of this
always popular hybrid ! We first saw this
plant a few years ago in Taiwan & have
been waiting for someone to clone it.
Now that they are all in flower, we are
sure that they cloned just like the parent
since all the buds were triangular in form.
A slow grower & slow to open its flowers
– but well worth the wait ! (Note: These
have already flowered for the first time
with two branching spikes on each small
plant…perfect time to repot them for an
even better flowering next spring!)
PELORIC MULTI-FLORAL MINI
$ 45
Dtps. Chang Jhih Clown
BS
$ 28
MERICLONE
(Phal. Rainbow Chip x Tarina)
NEW !
On their very first flowering these multifloral minis produced 3-4 branching
spikes ! Each flower’s petals are
accented with a soft lavender splash from
its Dor. pulcherrima var. champornensis
breeding background. Very full flat
flowers on compact branching spikes
over equally compact leaf spans. A truly
unique charmer – late spring to summer
blooming !
MULTI-FLORAL MINI
Dtps. Chiada Hebe
’Chocolate Drop’
BS
$ 42
SP
$ 48
(I-Hsin Sesame x Phal. I-Hsin Canary)
Aptly named ‘Chocolate Drop’ due to its
deep burgundy-black overlay on a soft
yellow background, leaving just a narrow
soft yellow picotee. This waxy flowered
mini will catch your eye from anywhere
due to the deep richness of its color.

MULTI-FLORAL MINI
FROM I-HSIN NURSERY, TAIWAN
Phal. Chada Stacy
‘Chocolate Drop’
F
(Caribbean Sunset x Sunrise Red Peoker)
NEW !
An adorable, almost-black, multi-floral
miniature combining an art shade mini
with a harlequin mini – this resulted in a
fusing of the harlequin spots, leaving just
a narrow picotee around all the
segments. A great vini multifloral with a
compact leaf span & readily branching
compact spikes. A great new direction in
breeding for minis with rich deep color !

SP/B/F
(Jiuhbao Victoria x Chian Xen Mammon)
NEW !
A huge WOW went up from our Phal.
judging team when we awarded this plant
the highest AOS award possible in
Taiwan a couple of years ago ! Perfectly
formed and dramatically crisply marked
harlequin-influenced flowers cascaded
gracefully from two inflorescences –
garnering a 93 point FCC/AOS – well
deserved ! Self-cascading strong spikes
with no need for additional support.

ALSO WINNER OF AOS HERB HAGER
AWARD FOR MOST OUTSTANDING PHAL
OF THE YEAR !
Phal. Corona
BS
$ 35
(cornu-cervi ‘Red’ x amboinensis)
NEW !
As a hybrid seedling population, there
has been very little variation in the waxy
flowers of this new hybrid. Creamy
yellow background is marked with
burgundy-brown barring over all the
segments – previously flowered spikes
will rebloom in addition to the formation
of new spikes. Lightly FRAGRANT & a
welcome summer-fall bloomer !

ONE-OF-A-KIND SEEDLINGS
Phal. Diamond Goldamour
’YPM 9021’
SP/F
(Haur Jin Diamond x Sunrise Goldamour)
NEW !
Breeding & flower patterning is very
similar to Dtps. Lioulin Goldfinch –
however, this clone’s flowers are waxier
and smaller, borne on more compact
spikes. An additional charm to this clone
is its very compact, extremely round,
heavy-substance leaves. Easily fits into
any collection since it’s not a space hog !

$ 20
An outrageously dramatic harlequinaccented MULTI-FLORAL MINI which
is quickly becoming THE backbone of a
second generation of miniature
harlequins. When we saw this at the
Taiwan International Orchid Show a
couple of years ago, we were knocked
over by the compactness of its leaves &
its branching spikes – qualities which it’s
now passing on to the next generation of
miniature harlequins.

Dtps. I-Hsin Pixie Reds
‘orchidPhile’
(Phal. Zuma’s Pixie x I-Hsin Strawberry)
A clonal shift from the mericlone
population of this little hybrid, these
flowers are producing a peloric result
with the petals showing off with flaring
and a “fleur de lis” shape. The petals
have a much richer color, are much fuller
than the original mericlone of this hybrid
and are almost perfectly flat. Unique and
desirable for all peloric collectors !

A stunning flower that continues to draw
the eye with its dramatic contrast of deep
burgundy harlequin-influenced accents
over a rich pink background – perfectly
finished with a pristine white lip !

gracefully cascade in a waterfall
presentation – a real show-stopper !

Dtps. Joy Green Bee ‘Joy’
BS
$ 30
(Dor. pulcherrima alba x Timothy Christopher)
One of our newest – and most favorite MICRO MINIS producing the charm of
branching compact spikes of small white
flowers, very similar to the fabulous
Timothy Christopher parent. The pod
parent, Dor. pulcherrima, has given this
charming miniature a soft fuchsia-pink
outlined lip, favoring the shape of a
typical Doritis lip. All of these, as first
bloom seedlings, produced two
abundantly flowering – often branching spikes, in just a 2.5” pot ! Amazingly
floriferous & totally captivating. Vigorous
growers which will eventually form
multiple basal keikis. These have been
flowering twice a year for us, spring and
fall.

2 spikes
One of our all-time favorites in this line of
breeding, producing compact spikes of
waxy yellow novelty-size FRAGRANT
flowers, each one enhanced with a
stunning white heart and pristine white
lip. This little hybrid is just loaded with
violacea & amboinensis var. flava in its
breeding background – plus a large
infusion of Phal. micholitzii, well-known
for producing green-flowered progeny,
giving it just a hint of green. It carries a
multi-spike habit from its parentage, and
its compact leaf span and spikes make it
ideal for under-lights, windowstill &
small space growing !

Dtps. Kenneth Schubert
’A06255’
(Dor. pulcherrima x Phal. violacea var. coerulea)
A vast improvement over the coerulea
form of Dor. pulcherrima as a result of
the influence of the coerulea form of
Phal. violacea. The pollen parent has
given these flowers a long-lasting waxy
substance and brought the spike height
down in perfect proportion to the leaves.
This particular clone has taken on the
great color of Phal. violacea var. coerulea
with the floriferousness and deep purple
lip of Dor. pulcherrima.

this little hybrid’s dark harlequin spotting

over another, all against a soft yellow
background, its harlequin blotch almost

Phal. Yaphon Lobspis ‘Circle’
(tetraspis x lobbii)
A few years ago we spied this MICRO

Taiwan & hoped it would be cloned for
the hobby-growers ! It’s a mating of the
best of both parents, with Phal. lobbii
giving it that wonderful lip and fuller
flower form and Phal. tetraspis giving the
influence of a taller spike and heavier
substance flowers with a touch of light
pin-dotting over all. Added to the much

One of a kind hybrid seedlings –
NOT a mericlone !
Having just returned from my annual trip
to Taiwan, I was pleased to find many of
these “broad lip” hybrids at the show,
some of which were entered for AOS
judging & several of which we awarded,
including a couple of multi-floral
miniatures with its Phal. World Class
parent giving them the same ‘broad lip’.
These hybrids and some first-bloom
seedlings of multifloral miniatures from
Tying Shin Orchids, and the newest - a
knockout harlequin of Dtps. Yu Pin
Dream Girl x Phal. World Class - will be
available in limited quantities, as they
flower, at various events.
So far only about 15% of these broad lip
hybrids have been flowering with the
peloric “broad lip” – therefore, our plants
have been hand-selected (once they have
flowered) for this lip – each one is
different as to its lip formation and flower
color, a very few of which are flowering
almost pure white – no two are alike !
Not available for Pre-Order due to
variation – come early for the best
selection !
NOTE: The nursery we obtained
these hybrids from is no longer
releasing them due to their amazing
popularity. Mericlones of several
will be available in 4-5 years. In the
meantime, we will be releasing the
rest of our stock on these.

yellow-green flowers, just like they
appear in the close-up picture, due to
green on the back of each flower which
