Reflecting His Glory - RCCG Everlasting Father`s Assembly, Leeds
FROM THE PULPIT
Reflecting His Glory
- By Evangelist Gboyega Shitta
O
N Friday (first day of Leeds Glory Conference) I began by
saying that God wants every one of us to become carriers of
His glory and a reflection of who God is, which is stated in I
Peter 2:9. We are a chosen generation that has been called to manifest
the virtue and praise of God. The virtue of God is the same as the glory of
God. So God intends that the world should look at us and see God’s virtue, glory and
praise in us.
In Isaiah 40:5, the bible says the glory of the Lord shall be revealed and all flesh shall
see it together, for the mouth of the Lord has spoken it. The glory of the Lord shall be
revealed through your life in Jesus name. May you become a carrier and a reflection of
who God is in Jesus name.
This is the plan of God for our lives and that’s the reason for the topic ‘Reflecting His
Glory’. In John 17:21-22, the bible tells us that Jesus prayed that that His disciples
may be one as Him and Father are one. He also said that the glory that the Father has
given to Him, He has equally given to the disciples. This is pleasant news for us that
the glory that belongs to Jesus has been passed over to us. May nothing take that glory
from you in Jesus name. Though we have our own part to play as the glory will not just
appear automatically.
The bible says Jesus is the express image of the invisible Father. No man has seen God
at any time, but the only begotten Son has revealed Him unto Mankind. While Jesus
walked the face of the Earth, He revealed the God unseen. Philip once said to Jesus,
‘show us the Father…’. Jesus answered him that anyone that has seen Him has
actually seen the Father. Everything Jesus was to His Father is what Jesus wants us to
be to Him. That is why He said, ‘As the Father sent me, so send I you’. What He was
saying is that the way I represent my Father on Earth in power, grace, glory, character,
conversation and beauty, the same I want you to represent Me on Earth. I decree that
every glory destroyer and power that wants to supress your shinning be taken off by
God in Jesus name.
Every spiritual manipulation that wants to dim the glory of God upon your life shall be
destroyed in Jesus name. I am conscious and cautious of the fact that God wants me to
be a reflection of His glory, so I pray every time for grace so that the beauty of God be
seen upon my life. David said in Psalms 90:17 that the beauty of the Lord be seen upon
us. The word beauty has the same meaning as glory.
Moses came down from Mount Sinai in Exodus 34:29 and his face shone with the
glory of God. He knew not that he was carrying the blinding glory of God. They had to
put a veil on his face to talk the Israelites. I pray that the cloud of glory will not leave
you behind in Jesus name.
Moses reflected the glory of God because he hungered for it. He asked God in Exodus
33:18 that God should show him His glory. How many of us have that hunger? Many
of us are just concerned with our daily provisions. The glory of God is priceless and
valuable. The man who carries the glory of God will always be relevant when material
things become irrelevant. Even though God told Moses that His presence will go
always with him, Moses was not content. He wanted more
.
Contacting the glory of God requires time. You will need to tarry in the presence of
God in worship, and in place of prayer. Moses tarried in the presence of God that was
why he reflected God’s glory. People that tarried with wine becomes drunk (Prov.
23:29-30), people that tarried with God became filled with the Spirit and their lives
becomes a replica of God.

OCTOBER 2012 THEME:
THE HAND OF GOD
T
HE hands are very important parts of the human body. They are used to perform
several functions: touching; grasping; feeling; holding; manipulating; writing;
working; caressing; warring; etc. The bible makes us to know that even though God is a
Spirit, He created the human being in His own image and likeness. That therefore tells
us that God has hands. The bible also tells us some of the things that the hands of God
can do. There was a competition between Ahab the king of Israel who was racing on a
chariot and an aged Elijah the prophet of God who was jogging on foot.
At the end of the race from the desert to the gate of Jezreel (about 17 miles), it happened
that Elijah came first! The bible however makes us to know that it was because the hand
of God was upon Elijah (I Kgs. 18: 41-46).For astounding accomplishment to happen
in the life of a fellow therefore, it is necessary that the ‘hand of God’ to be upon that
fellow. This month of October, the hand of the Lord God Almighty will be upon us to
take us ahead of ‘chariots’ of life; the Hand will put us before the ‘Ahabs’ – of life; and
make us triumphant in Jesus name.

THE RCCG (EVERLASTING FATHER’S ASSEMBLY) 2012 PROPHECY
THEME: OUR YEAR OF ASTOUNDING ACCOMPLISHMENTS
A
STOUNDING is defined as bewildering or striking dumb with wonder; or so
surprisingly impressive as to stun or overwhelm. While accomplishments could be
defined as the act of carrying out or achieving; something achieved or successfully
completed; gained skills or talent; attainment of social grace, style, and poise.
After God ordered Elijah to anoint Elisha as his successor; Elisha left his lucrative
mechanized farming and became a servant to Elijah. He would run errands for him and
take care of his master. The time came when God was prepared to take Elijah away;
Elisha’s contemporaries began to make mockery of him that he would soon be like them,
but Elisha was determined not to remain as an ordinary son of a prophet; but as someone
spectacular. So he demanded for the double portion of the anointing of God upon his
master.
The bible records that Elisha was able to fulfil the condition set by Elijah and so received
the double portion of his master’s anointing! The sons of prophet that thought Elisha was
already stranded at the other side of Jordan bowed before him and called him ‘Master’ after
he parted the Jordan River and walked through it on dry ground! (2 Kings 2: 1-15).
In the year 2012, the Spirit of God says He will make us to achieve feats that are
astounding; gain talents and skills that are staggering; and enjoy attainments of social
grace, style and poise that are startling!

Come, brethren, help me sing His praise,
Oh, praise the Name of Jesus;
Oh, sisters, all your voices raise,
Oh, bless the Name of Jesus

The Power In The Hand of God
Text:2 Chronicles 20 : 6
P
- By Deacon Amos Okeowo
OWER is the ability to do something and the effect of this power can be good or bad on
someone. Likewise power in the Hand of God - MT 12:37, Pro 18:21 is able to do exceeding
abundantly above all that we ask or do according to the power that worketh in us. Eph 3: 20, 1: 19.
This power comes upon someone’s life in different dimensions or ways. It can be through
A. Speaking a word – Gen 1:1-25, MK 10:52.
Remember God is unchangeable and He fails not, but the power in His Hand comes upon
individuals differently in order to accomplish whatever He meant to do in their lives. The power in
the Hand of God that comes from His mouth brought light to the world – Gen 1:1-25, He said let
there be light and there was light. This power also raised Lazarus from the grave – John 12:1 and
Jesus Christ used this power to rebuke the storm and it became calm. Lk 8:24, Mk 4:39.
The Bible also recorded a certain man lame from his mother’s womb being healed by Peter and
John at the beautiful gate. Acts 3:6-8. Likewise many other prophets in the Bible such as Elijah,
Elisha , Our father in the Lord Pastor E.A Adeboye.
B. Touching or laying of hands – Gen 1:26-27, 2:7.
God said let’s make man in our image after our likeness and then formed man from the dust of the
ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life and man became a living soul. Job 12:910,23 also confirms The power in the Hand of God for the soul of every living thing and the breath
of all mankind.
C. By fire – Lev 9:24, Deut 4:24, Heb 12:29.
It comes in the fire- 1 kgs 18:38. Elijah prayed and fire came down and consumed the burnt
sacrifice , Solomon also prayed and the Hand of God brought down fire to consume the burnt
offerings and the glory of the Lord filled the temple – 2 Chro 7:1. These confirm that our God is a
consuming fire.
D. The Holy Ghost – Acts 2 : 3-4, Rms 8:9-11, 26.
The Holy Spirit came down upon the disciples in the upper room – Acts 2:3-4. It appeared unto
them cloven tongues like fire and it sat upon each of them and they were all filled with the Holy
Ghost and began to speak with other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance.
HOW CAN TO ATTRACT THE POWER IN THE HAND OF GOD UPON YOUR LIFE ?
Be genuinely born again - John 1:12-13, Gal 31:13-14
Whosoever is born of God does not sin, for his seed remaineth in him and he cannot sin, because he
is born of God – 1 john 3:9.
Obedience / diligently hearken to the voice of God. Pro : 1:33, Deut: 28:1
If you are willingly and obedient, you will experience showers of blessings. Deut 28:1, Psm 35:27.
Praise and worship in truth and spirit. Psm 107: 21, 1 peter 2:9.
Whatever comes your way and seems there is no solution in sight, just praise and worship God in
His Holiness. The power in it will strengthen you and all will be well. 2 Sam 22:4 says I will call on
the Lord who is worthy to be praised, so shall I be saved from my enemies.
Be prayerful. Eph 6:18, Mt 7;7, Mk 11:24
By praying to God, every hidden and or secret blessings shall be shown unto you and you will be
blessed. Mt 7:7-8, 1 Pet 3:7 says your blessings will not be hindered.
Studying and understanding the word of God and its applications. Psm 1:104, Eph 6:17, James
1:22-25.
When you study the word of God accordingly, it will broaden your orientation about God’s ways
and equip you to face any challenges that comes your way. Psm 1:2-3.
Give sacrificially. 1 kgs 17:8-16, 2kgs 4:8-17
Giving sacrificially does not mean only money, you can also give your service and other things
God has deposited in you to lift up the church and fellow Christians. Be sure that the blessings
shall fall from God to you as it was to the woman of Zarephath. 1kgs 17:14.
CONCLUSION
Remember that the power in the Hand of God can do all things because it faileth not, it can also
help us possess our inheritance and among many other things make us shine. Prayerfully ask God
today to empower you to be able to do the things that will attract the power in the Hand of God
upon your life, family and the church of God especially RCCG Everlasting Father’s Assembly IN
Jesus Name.
PRAYERS
Almighty God arise and blast away all that has been blocking your hand of blessings in my life,
family and the church of God. Isa 59;1-2
O Lord remember your promises in Lamentation 3:22 and have mercy on us and wipe away all our
sins and inquities. Psm 51:1-2
Amighty father, let the power in your Hand bring your Spirit upon me, my family and the church of
God to preach good tidings unto the meek, to bind up the broke heated, to proclaim liberty to the
captives and the opening of the prison to them that are bound. Isa 61:1-3.
May the grace of our Lord Jesys Christ be with our spirit. Amen.
