Gary Wiesmann from the Diocese of Mandeville, Jamaica for talking about the work and the need among the people over there. The kids and I had a great time in Poland with the Pope and 2 million other young adults. Monday and Tuesday, before the official beginning, we had a chance to tour Auschwitz and Birkenau, this was the death camp. Most of the buildings have been torn down now, some simply from age but most right after the war simply for fire wood. The property itself has never been used for anything else. So we could see where the buildings had stood, brick chimneys still standing. We walked through the middle of the camp, along the railroad tracks that brought the condemned. Then we walked the perimeter. It was a very long and quiet walk. That was the last time I walked without my cane. That’s the end of my “witness.” The kids will be talking at the masses next week. BBQ Weekend. The Hoe Down and Trivia are behind us. Please come back and join us for the chicken dinner and bring your neighbors. +Dawn Tinsman req. Deb & Kura Kroger +Sarah Lezotte req.
