The architecture
The firm B.A.S.E. Designers from Haarlem is responsible for the striking design of Poort van
Bloemendaal. The owner and principal designer of this young design firm, Björn Knetsch
(1977), gives his view on his creation.
Architecture and space
‘The copper roof and the huge sets of windows, designed in the slightly gothic shapes of end
walls from the 1920s have a ‘briefly look back’ effect. Poort van Bloemendaal will become a
point of recognition, a landmark with style. It’s inextricably linked to the dunes, the beach and
the see in Bloemendaal.’

The apartment is delivered in shell form. The current shell-form delivery includes: lightlyplastered walls with wallpaper-ready finish, plastered ceilings (to be finished according to
your wishes), doors and internal frames are ready for painting upon delivery. This gives you

Technology, general
Electrical, satellite and television connections
As you may expect, every apartment has a highly advanced electrical installation, which is
linked to a Nikobus domotics system. Lighting and switches – including individual connections and groups – are remotely controlled via domotics and can be expanded freely. Both
the kitchen, the living room and the bedroom have connections for satellite TV and internet.
The sockets and connections are neatly embedded in a tasteful, high skirting board. Various
mounting points are fitted at skirting-board height, but also at 1.20 m for the installation of
LCD/plasma TVs.
Individual climate control
The apartments come with a controllable air-circulation system and heating and cooling systems. Central heating operates via underfloor heating. The temperature-controlled ventilation makes sure that the incoming air already has the right temperature, allowing a constant
temperature to be maintained. Cooling can be controlled per room via individual units. You
can find the standard temperatures under Technical Specifications in the annex accompanying this prospectus.
Gas fire and sauna
The presence of gas in all apartments enables the installation of a gas fire of the type which
does not require a flue. The connections for optional sauna facilities are present in the apartments with building numbers 128, 130, 132 and 134.
