Welcome
April 8, 2011
Dear ERHS Families, Friends, Alumni and Staff,
Welcome to “Studio 76”—the PTA’s seventh Annual Auction Gala
Benefit for Eleanor Roosevelt High School!
This event could not have happened without the many parents
who put in months of planning and hard work. Thank you all. And
now, it’s time for a much-deserved celebration!
Thank you to the many businesses and parents who have made
this event possible. We have some great items to bid on tonight
and in the online auction. Please take a look at the very extensive
donor list in the program—and when you patronize any of these
businesses, let them know you’re from ERHS and appreciate their
support of our school.
A very special thank you to Mr. Saliani and the ERHS staff whose
dedication to the education of our children makes ERHS such a
great school. We are proud to be members of this vibrant
community!
Enjoy the evening and remember—ALL of your dollars directly
support the programs that benefit all the students of ERHS.
Now—eat, drink, dance and, most important, bid, bid, bid!
The ERHS Auction Committee
P.S. Don’t forget—our ONLINE AUCTION continues on
after our gala event!

The Teacher Wish Lists
For the second year in a row, we asked our teachers and staff
what items they would love to have for their classrooms or clubs.
Browse through the bid sheets tonight and see if there’s
something that you’d like to help fund. Your tax-deductible
donation goes directly into the classroom or department that
requested the item.
We’ve suggested amounts for all the wish lists. If you’d like to give
the suggested amount, just write in your paddle number. If you’d
rather give another amount—either more or less—write in your
paddle number with the amount you’d like to donate.

The Auction Rules
1. Paddles are required for both live and silent bidding. Please use
the number written on the back of your auction program as your
paddle number. It is keyed to your name to ensure accuracy in
the purchase of your items.
2. Please examine redemption forms and gift certificates very
carefully and redeem them prior to their expiration dates, which
vary and are fixed by the donors. The Auction Committee has
made every effort to note in the program and on bid sheets
expiration dates that are less than six months from the auction
date. Businesses come and go; the PTA advises you to use your gift
certificate as soon as is convenient and thank the donor.
3. All sales are final and subject to terms and conditions. All items
have been donated to the PTA of Eleanor Roosevelt High School
and are sold by the PTA rather than by the donor. Buyers may
not request refunds or exchanges from donors.
4. Values as reported to us by the donors are indicated following
the item descriptions. Descriptions of items have been made
with every reasonable effort to be accurate.
5. By participating in this auction, each bidder recognizes and
agrees that neither the PTA or ERHS nor anyone who assists in
the conduct of this auction shall be liable for any occurrence
resulting from the use of auctioned items and services.
6. Any item not bid to a satisfactory price may be withdrawn at the
option of the auctioneer.
7. No item will be released without full payment. All items purchased
must be paid for and removed the evening of the event, April 8, 2011.
8. Contributions which exceed the fair market value of the goods or
services received are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
Please consult your tax advisor.
9. All bids must be made in the designated increment on the bid
sheet. The Auction Committee reserves the right to correct
winning bids in instances of incorrect bidding increments.
