Break yarns.

rejoin yarns and patt these 17 sts, turn and cast on 4 sts,
turn. 21 sts.
Distribute these 21 sts evenly over 3 of the 4 needles
and, using 4th needle, work in rounds as folls:

Return to sts left on holders and slip the 8 sts nearest
first finger from both holders onto one needle (16 sts
on needle, leaving 15 sts on first holder and 16 sts on
second holder). Rejoin yarns with RS facing and cont
on these 16 sts only as folls:
Next round: Work across 8 sts from first holder as folls:
(using yarn A K1, using yarn B K1) 4 times, pick up and
knit 3 sts from cast-on edge of first finger, then work

Return to sts left on holders and slip rem 7 sts from first
holder and rem 8 sts from second holder onto needles
(15 sts on needles). Rejoin yarns with RS facing and
cont on these 15 sts as folls:
Next round: Work across 7 sts from first holder as folls:
using yarn B K1, (using yarn A K1, using yarn B K1) 3
times, pick up and knit 3 sts from cast-on edge of third
finger, then work across 8 sts from second holder as folls:
(using yarn B K1, using yarn A K1) 4 times. 18 sts.
Distribute these 18 sts evenly over 3 of the 4 needles
and, using 4th needle, work in rounds as folls:
Round 1: (Using yarn A K1, using yarn B K1) 9 times.
Round 2: (Using yarn B K1, using yarn A K1) 9 times.
Rep last 2 rounds until fourth finger meas 5.5 cm.
Break off yarn B and cont using yarn A only.
Next round: (K3tog) 6 times.
Break yarn and thread through rem 6 sts. Pull up tight
and fasten off securely. Fourth finger completed.
Shape thumb
Return to sts left on thumb holder and slip these 21 sts
onto needles. Rejoin yarns with RS facing and cont as
folls:
Next round: Work across 21 sts from holder as folls:
(using yarn B K1, using yarn A K1) 10 times, using yarn
B K1, pick up and knit 4 sts from cast-on edge of first
finger directly above thumb. 25 sts.
Distribute these 25 sts evenly over 3 of the 4 needles
and, using 4th needle, work in rounds as folls:
Round 1: (Using yarn A K1, using yarn B K1) 12 times,
using yarn A K1.
Round 2: (Using yarn B K1, using yarn A K1) 12 times,
using yarn B K1.
Rep last 2 rounds until thumb meas 5 cm.
Break off yarn B and cont using yarn A only.
Next round: (K3tog) 8 times, K1.
Break yarn and thread through rem 9 sts. Pull up tight
and fasten off securely. Thumb completed.
