SPECIAL STITCHES
Garter st: knit on RS and WS.
Lace patt
Rows 1, 2, 5 & 6: knit across.
Row 3: [k1, yo] across.
Row 4: [slide off from needle yo, p1] across.
Inc Row: k1, kf&b, knit across.
Dec Row: knit across to last 3 sts, k2tog, k1.
SCARF
• With LP1 and LP2 held together, loosely CO 165 sts
and knit across 1st row. Working in Garter st, inc for
shaping scarf edges at beg of next 15 rows, one st =
180 sts. Switch color to CB.
Rows 17-22: Work in lace patt.
• Switch color to DP and working in Garter st, dec for
shaping scarf edges at end of next 15 rows, one st =
165 sts. BO all sts.
FINISHING
• With CB make 2 tassels approx 5” long and attach
them to the center of scarf edges.
Weave in ends.
