1 pair 7mm (UK 2) knitting needles.
piece of cardboard 30cm wide.
wool needle for sewing in ends.
TENSION
Correct tension is not essential for this scarf.
SCARF
NOTE – Prepare fringe first – wrap yarn around 30cm piece
of cardboard 152 times and cut along one edge. Set aside
for attaching to Scarf after completing knitting.
Using 7mm needles, cast on 39 stitches loosely.
NOTE – To keep edges neat, join new balls of yarn 2 stitches
in from edge.
Begin Double Moss Stitch –
1st row – K1, * P1, K1, rep from * to end.
2nd row – P1, * K1, P1, rep from * to end.
3rd row – As 2nd row.
4th row – As 1st row.
Last 4 rows form double moss st patt. Cont in patt until
Scarf measures 250cm from beg or near end of last ball,
leaving approx 150cm for casting off.
Cast off loosely in patt.

DO NOT PRESS. Sew in ends.
Using yarn set aside for fringe, fold 4 strands in half and
push loop through first stitch on one end, draw ends
through loop and pull firmly. Repeat evenly across each
end. Trim neatly.
