You have been told, O man, what is good, and what the Lord requires of you:
only to do the right and to love goodness, and to walk humbly with your God.

Expanded Scrip Program!
The Scrip program that has been a part of St. Malachy Parish School for
many years is expanding!
Every Sunday after 12noon Mass, there will be a table set-up in the Narthex to place Scrip orders.
A percentage of the proceeds from this fundraiser can be used for school tuition, religious education tuition, youth ministry tuition, CYO sport’s registration fees, or as a St. Malachy donation (if
this option is chosen, the donation would be included in the St. Malachy’s end of the year contribution statement.)
Each year end, participants will receive a statement with options. These options will allow them to
choose where their monies will be applied. Please stop by the table to learn more!
Notes from the Nurse
Medication Pick-Up
Please remember all medication needs to be picked up from the clinic by an
adult prior to dismissal on the last day of school. Medications cannot be
given directly to the students for home delivery. Any medications not picked
up will disposed of as they cannot be stored in the clinic over the summer. New medication permission forms will need to be completed for the
2014-2015 school year. Theses forms can be found on Mrs. Caputo’s blog or available from the
school office.
Immunizations
Students needing immunizations for the upcoming school year need to have the updated immunization record on file prior to the first day of school. If needed, please schedule your appointment
NOW as doctor’s offices will be booked toward the beginning of the school year. Your doctor may
fax an updated immunization record to the school office at 852-3604, Attn: Mrs. Caputo.

Around Our School
6th Grade Walk for Water
The sixth graders raised enough funds to supply a new well to a school in Tanzania. The money
raised will go to building and installing the new well. The rain kept them from walking outside but
they persevered in the gym walking three miles carrying jugs of water in their backpacks.
Congratulations sixth grade! We are proud of you!

Girl Scouts
The SMS Girls Scouts from 1st,
3rd, 4th, 6th, & 7th grade spent
Mother’s Day Weekend at Camp
Rancho Framasa. The girls all got
to know each other better as they
participated in varied activities.
They hiked, canoed, kayaked, rock
wall climbed, participated in high
rope challenges, archery, games,
prepared a meal from pioneer
times, made pioneer crafts, tie
dyed, made prayer flags, and rosaries. They also learned new
prayers including the Great
Amen. The SMS Girl Scout Leaders hope to turn this into an annual spring event for SMS Girl
Scouts.
As part of the Girl Scout Bronze Award, Troop 1107 (5th grade) collected reusable materials and organized a dog and cat toy-making event that included the 4th grade Junior Girl Scouts. The animal
toys were donated to the Misty Eyes Animal Shelter & Learning Center in Brownsburg, May 19.
