Aikido for Adults
Aikido is a relatively modern Japanese martial art. It’s meaning is often translated as “The Way of Harmonizing Energy”.
Aikido can be practiced by people of all ages, with varying
levels of athletic ability, as its emphasis is not on “winning” or
overpowering ones partner. Its techniques are powerful yet
focus on protecting the attacker from injury. Aikido is especially great for children as it teaches focus, respect and discipline in addition to the physical benefits of strength, balance
and body coordination.

Golf Course 30
Did you know…a golfer will walk
4.5 miles playing 18 holes of golf at
Florissant’s municipal golf course?
According to the Mayo Clinic, walking can lower your blood pressure
and bad cholesterol.
First opened to the public in the 1960’s. The
rolling terrain and fast undulating greens
have challenged golfers ever since. The
great vistas and shot values of the 6,500+
yard layout have attracted some of the best
golfers in the state for more than 30 years.
