Richard Lassiter Richard Lassiter is currently Chairman and CEO of Vegas Fastener Manufacturing in Las Vegas, Nevada. The company provides high quality fasteners to many diverse industries around the globe. VFM’s 100,000-square-foot manufacturing plant is a state-of-the-art hot forge facility, housing virtually the entire manufacturing and testing process. VFM has a large stock of specialty Materials Alloy 718, A-286, Alloy C-276, AL6XN, Avesta 2205, Monel 400, and K-500. VFM’s pledge is quality fasteners on time (QFOT). Richard Lassiter’s first job in the fastener business began forty years ago in California as a buyer for ITT Harper (at the time the nation’s largest manufacturer and distributor of stainless steel and nonferrous fasteners). In California he also worked in sales for Southern Bolt and Screw, South Bay Bolt, and Majestic Fasteners. Although successful in California, Richard Lassiter was interested in starting his own company. That opportunity came in Las Vegas, Nevada. In 1972, Mr. Lassiter and his partner Doug Kreck started the area’s first fastener distribution company: Nevada Nut & Bolt. Fourteen years later the company was sold to Dick Sawtell at Bonaza Nut & Bolt. In 1976 Lassiter opened Nonferrous Bolt & MFG. In 1998 the company was sold to SPS. The aerospace fastener company struggled with the acquisition and the company closed its door in 2001. After a two-year no compete expired, Richard Lassiter partnered with Jim Foytik who had started Vegas Fastener Manufacturing in 2000. In 2001 another former Non-ferrous owner, Ed Cebulko, became a partner at Vegas Fastener and assisted in managing the company’s rapid growth. Lassiter also has ownership and participates in the management of other Las Vegas companies: G-2 Game Design, American Laser, LNC real estate. He has been married for 30 years and has 1 daughter and 3 grandchildren. William Liao Mr. William Liao started his fastener industry career in 1986. He began in fastener magazine advertising and exhibition booth sales. Mr. William Liao founded Fastener World magazine in 1987 and is the only holder of it. From 2003 to 2007, he served as Chairman of Taiwan Fastener Trading Association (T.F.T.A); and is the presently the Honor consultant for T.F.T.A. In 1989, Mr. Liao was the first person in Asia to lead Taiwan delegations to participate in the National Industrial Fastener Show (NIFS) in Columbus, Ohio USA with 17 Taiwanese manufacturers. He is also the pioneer of the Taiwan fastener international market through advertising and exhibition. In addition to Fastener Fair Stuttgart and both NIFS/East and NIFS/West, Mr. Liao leads Taiwan delegations to participate in over 15 exhibitions around the world every year. For example, FASTTEC, International Hardware Fair in Cologne, Hannover Messe, Fastener Fair Coventry, IWF, Wire & Tube Duesseldorf, wire & cable trade fair in South Asia, Fastener Tech in Chicago and numerous hardware and components related exhibitions. He brings 250 booths average to the National Industrial Fastener Show/West every year. 3M Company A C Terminals Inc AAA Galvanizing Abbott-Interfast Corp Able Electropolishing Able Label Systems Acme Companies Acme Staple Company Inc ACS Manufacturing Inc ACT Fastening Solutions Action Fabricators Activant Advance Components Advanced Business Software Inc Advantage Sales Alcoa Fastening Systems Alcoa Fastening Systems - Mairoll Alfa Tools All American Washer Werks All Electronics Hardware All Valley Hose & Industrial Supply Allegheny Bolt & Screw Corp Allied Bolt Inc Alloy & Stainless Fastener Allstar Fasteners Inc Alpha Fasteners Corp Aluminum Fastener Supply Co.
