Toys “R” Us (Malaysia) Sdn.Bhd.respects the privacy of individuals with regard to Personal Data.
This Personal Data and Privacy Policy is formulated in accordance with Laws of Malaysia Act
709 Personal Data Protection Act 2010 ("Act"). For the purpose of this Personal Data and
Privacy Policy, "Personal Data" shall have the meaning as ascribed to it in the Act. Toys “R” Us
may change this Personal Data and Privacy Policy from time to time and you are advised to
check the said policy on a regular basis.
PURPOSE OF COLLECTION OF PERSONAL DATA
Toys “R” Us (Malaysia) Sdn.Bhd. (“we”) will use your personal data and the personal data of your
children (if any) for the following purposes:
i) Our processing of your application for the Toys”R”Us Star Card Loyalty Program (“Star Card”),
our administration of the Star Card Program and provision of related benefits and privileges;
ii) The daily operation of our services;
iii) Handling your enquiries and complaints;
iv) Conducting customer, product and service surveys; and
v) Making any disclosures required by law and matters directly related thereto.
The type of personal data we may use include but are not limited to your name, postal
address, mobile phone number, date of birth, membership number and information relating
to the frequency of your patronage, bonus points record and billing, your children’s name(s)
and date(s) of birth and any other information which may be necessary for the purposes
mentioned above.
Please note that you must provide us your personal data for the above purposes. Otherwise,
we may not be able to process your application and/or provide you benefits under the Star
Card Program.
DIRECT MARKETING
We also intend to use your name, postal address, email address, mobile phone number, date
of birth, membership number, bonus points record and billing and your children’s name(s)
and date(s) of birth for the following direct marketing purposes:
i) Direct marketing of toy products, infant & pre-school products and in-store activities
provided by us and the Toys”R”Us Companies (see list below) and related special offers,
promotions, vouchers and coupons provided by us;
ii) Special offers, promotions, vouchers and coupons for travel, dining, entertainment,
amusement park, cinema, apparel, food, education, household, transportation, banking and
other consumer products and services offered by our business partners.
We will not use your personal data or your children’s personal data for direct marketing
without your consent. Marketing and promotional materials will only be sent by us and our
agents, not by any other party.
CONFIDENTIALITY
We NEVER transfer your personal data to any other parties outside Toys “R” Us Companies
We are always conscious and respectful of your privacy and will not transfer the personal data
disclosed in the application to any other party other but may provide the personal data to the
following parties:
i) The Toys”R”Us Companies being: Toys (Labuan) Holding Limited and its subsidiaries and
affiliates including, but not limited to Toys “R” Us (Asia) Limited, Toys”R”Us (Hong Kong)
Limited, Toys”R”Us Holdings (China) Limited, Toys (Labuan) Ltd, Toys”R”Us (Malaysia) Sdn, Bhd.
, Toys”R”Us Retailing (China) Limited, Toys”R”Us (Singapore) Pte. Lte. , Toys”R”Us (Taiwan)
Trading Limited, Toys Retailing (Thailand) Limited (collectively the ‘Toys”R”Us Companies’);
ii) The third party service providers who may send you promotional materials if necessary. The
third party service providers are under a duty of confidentiality to us and are only permitted
to use your personal data for the purposes of sending you Toys”R”Us related promotion
materials only.
iii) Any person who owes a duty of confidentiality to the Toys”R”Us Companies.

As a data subject, you may contact us to seek access to or seek to correct personal data which
the Toys”R”Us Companies hold about you. Requests for access to and/or correction of personal

Toys“R”Us Star Card Terms & Conditions
Terma & Syarat Kad Toys “R”Us
1. All applicants for Malaysia Toys"R"Us Star Card Loyalty Program ("Star Card") must be at least
18 years old and have a valid Malaysia residential address.
1. Semua pemohon Toys"R"Us "Star Card" Loyalty Program ("Star Card")mesti berusia
sekurang-kurangnya 18 tahun dan mempunyai alamat yang sah di Malaysia.
2. The Star Card will be issued with a NETT purchase of RM20 in a single receipt.
2. “Star Card” akan diisu dengan pembelian BERSIH RM20 dalam satu resit.
3. The Star Card must be presented at the point of purchase at Toys"R"Us, without it your
transaction will not be recorded and no point will be rewarded. An administrative fee of RM5
will apply for any replacement card.
3. “Star Card” mesti ditunjukkan semasa pembelian, tanpa “Star Card” transaksi anda tidak akan
direkodkan dan Mata Ganjaran Star tidak akan diberi. Bayaran pentadbiran sebanyak RM5 akan
dikenakan bagi kad gantian.
4. The Star Points accrued under Star Card and Star Link Program do not have any cash value and
cannot be redeemed or exchanged for cash.
4. Mata Ganjaran Star yang dikumpulkan dalam “Star Card” dan “Star Link Program” tidak mempunyai
nilai tunai dan tidak boleh ditebus atau ditukar kepada tunai.
5. Star Points will not be awarded for any activation/reload for Toys"R"Us Gift Card, however, Star
Points will be awarded when Toys"R"Us Gift Card exchange for goods.
5. Mata Ganjaran Star tidak akan diberikan apabila Toys"R"Us “Gift Card” dibeli, namun begitu, Mata
Ganjaran Star akan diberi untuk penebusan Toys"R"Us “Gift Card”.
6. The Star Card benefits can only be used at any Toys"R"Us and Babies”R”Us in Malaysia, Hong
Kong, Mainland China, Taiwan, Singapore, Thailand, Brunei and such other markets that may
be added from time to time . The NETT purchase (after the deduction of the value of any Gift
Certificates or other cash vouchers and discounts of any kind ) in local currency will be
automatically converted to RM according to the prevailing exchange rate being used by
Toys"R"Us (Asia) Limited at the respective time.
6. Menikmati faedah “Star Card” dimana-mana cawangan Toys”R”Us dan Babies”R”Us di Malaysia, Hong
Kong, Negara China, Taiwan, Singapura, Thailand, Brunei, dan cawangan yang akan ditambah dari
semasa ke semasa. Pembelian bersih (selepas diskaun) dalam matawang tempatan akan bertukar
kepada RM secara automatik mengikut kadar pertukaran matawang asing yang digunakan oleh
Toys”R”Us (Asia) pada masa penukaran.
7. Star Card member will earn 1 Star Point for every RM1 spent. The Star Points shall be
calculated based on the NETT value of the transaction and rounded down to the nearest
ringgit. Accumulation of a minimum of 300 Star Points must be achieved before the RM10 Star
Cash (RM) can be redeemed. Points are available for redemption after 21 days from date of
purchase. Star Points will expire in 2 years from date of purchase. There will be 2 points
clearing dates on June 30 and December 31 of each year.
8. Primary Star Card holders only will be entitled to the redemption of the Star Cash (RM).
Member's Star Card and NRIC must be presented at point of redemption.
9. Star Points can only be earned and redeemed for purchases made inside the above
designated Toys"R"Us and Babies”R”Us stores. Purchases made at Toys"R"Us and Babies”R”Us
stores outside the territories described above or at franchise/licensed cashiers within the
stores will not earn points and cannot be redeemed for points.
10. Star Card members can enjoy exchange and refund service within 21 days from the date of
purchase. Cardholders have to present the valid receipt and points will be deducted from the
Star Card.
11. Star Cash (RM) can be used on storewide purchase inside above designated Toys"R"Us and
Babies”R”Us stores including discounted products. Star Cash (RM) cannot be used for the
purchase of electronic console, electronic games and software, baby consumables (including
diapers, food, juice, bath and healthcare items) and Toys"R"Us Gift Card. There is no minimum
for use of Star Cash (RM) and multiple Star Cash (RM) are permissible per redemption per visit
in blocks of RM10 Star Cash (RM). Unless otherwise stated, all Star Cash (RM) must be utilized
within the period stated therein and shall not be renewable for whatever reason and cannot
be cancelled or refunded once redeemed.
12. The applicant authorizes Toys (Labuan) Holding Limited and its subsidiaries and affiliates
including, but not limited to Toys “R” Us (Asia) Limited, Toys“R”Us (Hong Kong) Limited,
Toys“R”Us Holdings (China) Limited, Toys (Labuan) Ltd, Toys“R”Us (Malaysia) Sdn, Bhd.,
Toys“R”Us Retailing (China) Limited, Toys“R”Us (Singapore) Pte. Lte. , Toys“R”Us (Taiwan)
Trading Limited, Toys Retailing (Thailand) Limited (collectively the ‘Toys“R”Us Companies’) the
right to transfer personal data disclosed in the application herein to any departments within
the Toys"R"Us Companies for commercial, administration and promotional purposes. We are
always conscious and respectful of your privacy and would not transfer any personal data
disclosed in the application herein to any company outside the Toys“R”Us Companies.
However, we may disclose and transfer your Personal Data to third party services providers to
sending you promotional materials if necessary. The third party service providers are under a
duty of confidentiality to us and are only permitted to use your personal data to sending you
Toys“R”Us or Babies“R”Us related promotion materials only.
13. The Toys“R”Us Companies reserve the right to decline applications, re-issue or withdraw the
Star Card at any time for any reason. The Toys“R”Us Companies also reserve the right to alter or
amend the conditions of operation of the Toys”R”Us Star Card Loyalty Program, or to
terminate the program at any time. A copy of the latest version of these Terms and Conditions
will be available at our website www.toysrus.com.my.
14. By enrolling in the Star Card Loyalty Program a participant acknowledges that they have read
and accepted the terms and information practices set forth both here and the privacy policy.
The applicant is entitled to have access to and make corrections to his/her personal data kept
by the Toys"R"Us Companies by contacting our customer service department via email to
[email protected] or dial our Hotline: 03-5634 3930 (Mon - Fri 9:00am - 6:00pm except on
Public Holidays).
15. If there is any inconsistency, conflict, ambiguity or discrepancy between the Bahasa Malaysia
and English version of these terms and conditions, the English version of these terms and
conditions shall prevail.
7. Setiap RM1 dibelanjakan = 1 Mata Ganjaran Star. Mata Ganjaran Star akan dikira berdasarkan
pembelian nilai BERSIH dan akan digenapkan kepada ringgit yang terdekat. Minimum 300 Mata
Ganjaran Star perlu dicapai sebelum RM10 Star Cash (RM) boleh ditebus. Mata Ganjaran Star boleh
ditebus selepas 21 hari dari tarikh pembelian. Mata Ganjaran Star akan lupus 2 tahun daripada
tarikh pembelian. Penjelasan Mata Ganjaran Star akan dilakukan pada tarikh 30 Jun dan 31
Disember setiap tahun.
8. Hanya pemegang ahli “Star Card” dibenarkan untuk membuat penebusan Star Cash (RM). “Star
Card” dan kad pengenalan hendaklah dikemukakan pada masa penebusan.
