Mancala is a game that uses mathematic and strategic thinking skills, and has been played for thousands of years. Facilitated enrollers from the Nassau-Suffolk Hospital Council will be at the library to assist people in applying for Child Health Plus, Family Health Plus, and Medicaid. Whether you are applying for the first time or need help with your coverage, the enrollers will be available to help you with your application. CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES FOR CHARITY Monday, June 6, 6:30-7:30 p.m. Earn community service and have fun! After a demonstration, teens will measure and mix the ingredients and then shape the cookies. The instructor will bake and donate the cookies to a local shelter. Teens will get to take a few cookies home to bake. ANIMAL TOY DONATION COMMUNITY SERVICE Monday, June 13, 3:00-4:00 p.m. Come and create animal toys for cats and dogs to be donated to your local animal shelter. All participants will earn an hour of community service while helping out some local animals. Wednesday, June 22, 3:00-4:00 p.m. Enjoy a delicious treat that not only tastes good but looks good too!
