INTRODUCTION
By investing in the development of an employee’s knowledge, skills, and
abilities, organizations are able to demonstrate a commitment to continuous
learning, growth, and resource enhancement. In addition to improving
productivity, training is rated as one of the most effective employee retention
tools available.
Each training session we offer has clearly defined learning objectives and expected
outcomes. Although teaching methods vary by subject, sessions typically include a
variety of experiential exercises, small group discussions, mini-lectures, selfassessments, and other learning activities designed to engage participants.

OUR POLICIES
To ensure that your training experience is exceptional, we have the following
guidelines in place:
ADVANCE BOOKING TIMES
Please allow a minimum of (4) weeks’ advance notice for booking of all seminars.
For customized training sessions, a minimum of (6) weeks is required.
CANCELLATION
Unless specified in an existing agreement, any cancellation within 3 business days of
the session will be charged at the full session cost.
TRAINING DELIVERY
Our training is offered in a variety of formats, all designed to meet your organizational needs.
In-Person Seminars or Workshops – offered at your workplace, organizational
conferences or retreats or wherever you need us to be. These sessions vary in
length from one-hour to a full day and are highly interactive.
Virtual Seminars or Workshops (Webinars) – These sessions allow your
employees from various teams, various locations, or different countries to
participate in training at the same time.
Blended Learning – some of our programs combine in-person workshops or
webinars with telephonic group coaching. This approach is designed to create
multiple touch points over time for learners as they go in-depth into an area of
learning.
CUSTOMIZATION
All of our training sessions may be customized to meet individual needs.
Additional fees may be incurred on a fee-for-service basis. Contact your Ceridian

In addition to the training sessions listed in this catalog, Ceridian develops
customized training to support specific client goals and initiatives. Our training
department has extensive experience in conducting training needs assessment,
development of learning objectives, training curricula design and development,
and implementation of large-scale organizational learning initiatives. We work in
partnership with our clients to ensure that organizational objectives are met.

OUR TRAINERS
Our facilitators are highly skilled professionals with subject matter expertise in a wide

& business, mental health and more. They bring years of experience as both
classroom and virtual trainers, and are able to connect participant knowledge and
experience with the training materials.
SEMINAR CLASS SIZE
Sessions are interactive and classroom sizes are recommended at no more than 3050 participants. A larger classroom size alters the learning experience and a large

Seminars offer strategies to help employees successfully meet the changing
needs of their work and personal lives. The sessions address a wide range of
issues including managing stress, childcare and teen issues, balancing work
and life, financial issues, enhancing personal productivity and health and
wellness. All of the sessions are appropriate for employees and management.
Educational by nature, seminars apply to many situations and provide
participants with practical techniques, strategies and useful “take away tips”
for future reference. Seminars are designed to fit into a lunch break or any time
during work hours. These sessions are interactive and classroom sizes are
recommended at 25-30 participants. A larger classroom size alters the learning
experience and a large group premium may apply.

decisions for them: guardianship, representative payee, power of attorney,
living will, trust, etc.
Identify how and when to utilize various tools.
Prepare for a meeting with their older relative’s attorney.
CAREGIVING AS A FAMILY
Participants will learn to:
Clarify their rights as caregivers.
Recognize the effect of family history on the caregiving role.
Solve problems and create a family team approach to caregiving.
Identify strategies for managing conflict with older adults, siblings, and
other family members around caregiving issues.
This seminar is designed for those currently caring for an older adult and
wanting to involve the family in the care.
MANAGING THE EMOTIONS OF CAREGIVING
Participants will learn to:
Recognize the normal emotions that caregivers commonly experience.
Identify what influences those emotions.
Create strategies for effectively managing powerful feelings connected
to caregiving.

THE NURSING HOME DECISION

both caregiver and older relative.

Describe the U.S. Daily Dietary Guidelines and the connection between
nutrition and staying healthy.
Identify the food groups, their nutritional value, and healthy choices within them.

Continuing Education Series is a unique way to provide skills and information
to employees who are interested in more in-depth and ongoing learning.
Each series contains three seminars which follow a particular theme. They
begin by identifying basic needs and/or issues and move towards a more
complex examination of the identified topic. Lastly, they provide strategies,

COMMUNICATION
This series is intended to teach the fundamental aspects of effective communication

ELDER CARE
There are a growing number of people who find themselves facing the reality of
caregiving for an older adult. For many employees, the responsibility of caring for
aging parents often coincides with ongoing care for their children as well. This
series identifies this new social reality as well as offers ways that caregivers can
manage emotions and stress that occur because of the challenges facing this
“sandwich generation”. It further provides support for those who are facing the

MENTAL HEALTH
This series is designed to educate participants about mental health and how it
impacts the workplace. It is also designed to assist participants in identifying ways in

and encourage those around us to achieve well-being. The series begins with an
overview of some of the most common mental illnesses diagnosed today, and then
debunks many myths and misconceptions around society’s perception of mental

This is a nutrition series that begins with the basic understanding and definition of

This series identifies the qualities of strong families, along with what helps to create
