President’s Message:
For our April show we had 223 cars. That was good since it was Easter
Weekend. We had lots of new cars at this show.
Our May show is May 10th which is a week early this month. The school
has a carnival scheduled on the third weekend when we normally have
our shows. The May show will be a tribute to our Military. Anyone who
comes in uniform will get in free. If anyone comes with a military vehicle
they should park up front. We will start setting up for the show at 3:00 3:30 PM.

MOTHERS ARE SPECIAL
by Anonymous
There is no love like a mother’s love,
no stronger bond on earth
Like the precious bond that comes from God,
to a mother when she gives birth.
A mother’s love is forever strong,
never changing for all time
And when her children need her most,
a mother’s love will shine.
God bless these special mothers,
God bless them every one
For all the tears and heartache,
and for the special work they’ve done.
When her days on earth are over,
a mother’s love lives on
Through many generations,
with God’s blessings on each one.
Be thankful for our mothers,
for they love with a higher love
From the power God has given,
and the strength from up above.

Judging:
We were short judges for the April show. It makes it difficult to stay
within our allotted time frame if members have to judge three and four
classes. We need all members to come out and judge.

Social Update
– SPECIAL INTEREST to the Ladies:
Monday night was a cool night and we had fun playing Bunco out on the
patio. We had some hot players that went home with money. Laura La
Barbara and Phyllis Veach tied with the Most Wins (13), Most Small
Bunco’s was Linda Walker with (7), Most Bunco’s was Nancy Hunter with
(5), Most Losses was Leslie Norman (14). Way to go girls.
Due to the Memorial Day Holiday Bunco in May will be a week early on
May 19th at Nina Bianco’s home.
Several ask for two different recipe’s from the menu that was served at
Bunco. They are as follows:
.
MEXICAN CHICKEN CASSROLE
1 WHOLE CHICKEN OR 4 CUPS COOKED
1 PKG OF FLOUR TORTILLAS
1 CAN CREAM OF MUSHROOM SOUP
1 CAN CREAM Of CHICKEN SOUP
1 CAN CHEDDAR CHEESE
10 OZ ROTEL TOMATOES (DO NOT DRAIN)
Page 6
Directions
Stir the 3 soups and tomatoes together until blended and add chicken.
Grease 13x9 pan. Put some liquid under the first layer of tortillas to
keep from sticking. Layer tortillas and chicken mix, end layering with
tortillas and sprinkle 2 cups of cheese over casserole.
Bake at 350
degrees for 30 minutes. Can make ahead of time and put in refrigerator.
Suggest serving with Wild Rice Salad.
WILD RICE SALAD
2 CUPS UNCOOKED RICE (1 BOX OF WILD RICE AND 1 CUP OF LONG GRAIN
WHITE RICE)
COOK IN 2 CANS CHICKEN BROTH (FOLLOW NORMAL DIRECTIONS FOR RICE
JUST SUBSTITUTE BROTH FOR WATER) LET RICE COOL.
ADD 1 CUP CHOPPED CELERY
½ CUP CHOPPED ONIONS AND GREEN PEPPER
I SMALL JAR PIMENTOES CHOPPED
1 JAR OF ITALIAN DRESSING (I USE HALF OF A BOTTLE I THINK WHOLE
BOTTLE IS TOO MUCH)
Mix and chill well.
