Systems, divulges tips and techniques on how to
best avoid hair breakage prior to cutting.
It is very important that we maintain the integrity of our salon guests’ hair,
making sure it’s in good condition prior to cutting. First, apply a leave-in
conditioning treatment throughout tresses. Then, reach for a detangling
comb or paddle brush. Separate the hair into sections that are not too
large to manage, brushing the ends while holding the remaining hair
between where you are working and the head. Grip the hair tightly as
you brush vertically—this allows for greater detangling benefits. Once the
hair is mostly untangled, switch to using the brush horizontally to remove
any additional knots. Move up the strands while maintaining a tight
grip on the hair. Repeat these steps until you reach the top of the head.
Remember: It’s important to keep a tight grip on the hair so that the guest
is comfortable during the process!
