On your bus seat you will have a welcome packet that will consist of a visitor’s guide, and coupon packets for Frankenmuth. There will be a rest stop halfway. We will arrive in Frankenmuth at approximately 11:30 am. Lunch will be on your own at one of the many restaurants available downtown along Main Street. While in Frankenmuth, spend some time in the many unique stores. Stop in for a glass of wine or craft beer, and venture to River Place Shops, which has many specialty boutiques and shops including Sugar High, winner of Cupcake Wars (The Food Network season 7). At approximately 2:00 pm, the bus will meet at the Visitor Center for one of two trips to Bronner’s Christmas Wonderland for shopping. Two hours will be spent shopping at Bronner’s. You can take a self-guided tour of the Silent Night Memorial Chapel located at Bronner’s. The bus will then return to the Visitor Center. Dinner will also be on your own. ***We highly recommend Zehnder’s Restaurant, (world famous chicken dinners) sometime during your trip***. The bus will be back at the Visitor Center at 7:00 pm to depart for the Hampton Inn at Birch Run. Along the way to the hotel, the bus will stop back at Bronner’s for anyone that wants to do more shopping or see the Christmas lights. The bus will be back at Bronner’s at 8:30pm to pick up and take people to the hotel. While you are at the hotel you can enjoy the swimming pool, sit in the lobby and play cards with friends, or enjoy a glass a wine that you purchased while shopping. DAY 2… Enjoy a free hot breakfast at the hotel. The bus will leave at 9:45am for Birch Run Premium Outlets. Stores open at 10:00am. Birch Run has over 120 stores and restaurants to choose from. Welcome bags with store coupons will be distributed upon arrival. Lunch and dinner will be on your own. The bus will meet back at 12:00pm at the drop off area for those interested in putting shopping bags onto the bus. The bus will depart for Decatur at 3:00pm. There will be a food and rest stop halfway. Arrive at Riverside Center at approximately 7:30pm. Plan on getting all of your Christmas shopping done on this trip! Decatur-Adams County Parks and Recreation reserves the right to make changes in the tour for comfort and well-being of passengers; decline or accept any person as a tour member at any time, cancel the tour should it become necessary, refunding all trip monies, thus releasing them from further obligation. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a travel companion 25 years-of-age or older. This bus trip requires the ability to walk several blocks at a time.
