CIRCULAR LETTER – EHC Hungary
#104 & #105 (January and June 2015)
The translation of the January circular letter unfortunately fell off then. We are now making up for that, and the
January and the June circular letters will be sent emerged - slightly in a simplified form.
But the Israelites acted unfaithfully. Joshua 7:1
... Not only must we examine the issue of the individual responsibility for the community, but also the community's responsibility for everything happening in the ranks of the community. Yes, our basic word also states
flatly: Israel treated treacherously with the things dedicated to God, and the Lord's anger kindled against the
sons of Israel. Because of one man they receive a great slap on the face, why we can take pity on them. Yet I
do not dare to see the people of Israel only in the role of the innocent harmed. Namely Israel really took from the
things of God, but not in concrete materialized form. This people after the victory at Jericho pushed back spiritually the glory of God, the fact that the capture of the city was solely from the Lord. The winners at Jericho before
the next battle dare allow themselves to down the enemy. Do not bother all the people to get there, because two
or three thousand of us would manage it – they said to Joshua. But they should have known for long that the
key to the victory is that God is with them, that they fight His fight. Not two or three thousand people or the entire
army is victorious, but the Lord of Hosts. In our victories how much do we cherish the success or ourselves?
How many results dare we attribute to ourselves that we got the hang of it?"
The Word tells something else of the community. For example, that it is not able to take care of the holy things
of God. How is it that despite all the valuable objects were committed to the Lord, no one noticed that Achan
took away to himself a Babylonian robe, a large gold stick and some silver? Put your questions in the present
tense, to ourselves! How is it that things seen in my brother's life - provided that I can see them- if they are not in
accordance with the instructions of the Lord, I can not, I do not dare to stop in time with a love-forewarning? As
believers, we owe each other with sincere words. Why is it so easy to make ourselves believe that we got in formation about the trouble, only when the house was aflame?... It is much easier to turn our head aside, close
our eyes, having no time than paying attention, helping, correcting the person who is to fall. It is more conveni ent to point a finger at the sin enhancing, the sinner ugly falling... As a single sinner can not hide in the crowd
from the front of God, the community too is rarely in a moral position to push ahead one and only scapegoat. Let
this story inspire us besides humbleness to the fact that members take care of each other like that "See to it that
no one misses the grace of God, and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many." (Hebrews
12:15)

Pécs
In September, the usual missionary week took place - this time in
Pécs, where the Kertváros (Garden Suburb) Reformed Church
was the host of the work.
The week was expanded slightly, because we knew that - unlike
the name of the church - a large housing estate part waited for us,
and the doors of many homes would be knocked at. So we
gathered at Friday night, on Saturday after the prayer of the host
pastor, Csaba Zoltán Nagy we set out. We spent the Sunday with
worship, sightseeing and relaxing. We were together around the
word in weekday mornings - in this guest servants helped us - and
T he EHC team after the Sunday Serv ice
in the afternoons we visited the houses. Till Saturday we walked
the part of the housing estate planned - far from it all! - so in addition we could visit also the homes of Keszü, a small
village near Pécs. At the Sunday worship we could give thanks together for the work we had done: we visited about
6000 homes in Pécs, 350 in Keszü. The TransCarpathian 10 person delegation of brothers meant a great assistance
in it. Thank you! And we thank the members of the host church and the pastor's family for their hospitality, help. Cer tainly the 'turmoil', intensive labor, and manage a wide variety of activities, things to be done for several days is not a
small burden.
One of our workers - among other things – reported the visits as follows, "We observed the
reaction of people. We initiated with questions, and curiously observed who was interested
and how much. He who was not, we gave over to him only the invitation card accompanied
by a couple of nice words. Where there was initiation and readiness, we joined them and
continued that, of course not going beyond the relevant inquiry. We always ask new questions and the answer was followed by a new question. However, we actively watched the
guidance of the Holy Spirit in order to be able to lead the person's thoughts towards to the
faith, toward the person of Jesus Christ. In one case this was followed – so to speak – by a
"success". But what remained in him, and whether God went on talking to him, He knows
only. We believe that God is the initiator and man will respond to God's call. "
Let us pray for the church community, and the called and the continuation of con tacts started!
Pestlőrinc
In October we started the personal distribution in another part of district XVIII.
Previously, the other parts of the district could be walked already in collaboration with another Reformed church. Now, supplemented by eight members of
the local church we visited homes. Several houses were where it seemed almost impossible to get in, but the Lord worked wonderfully even in our days!
We met a woman who had mourned her died husband for a long time. "In principle," she is also Reformed, but she has had no contact with any church for
long. Now she was especially glad to have been visited and was called just to a
Reformed community. Let us carry her in prayers so that she may really start The Lutheran & the Reformed Church Photo: internet
off indeed! In another young woman's own words, she is an "esoteric Christian". Unfortunately she came under the influence of dark teachings and powers - while she thinks it is the real thing, what she believes in and practices. Let us
pray for it!
The local Reformed church organized programs together with the Lutherans during the autumn, in the Advent and
Christmas seasons, and this series continues in this year's Easter and Pentecostal holidays as well. We carried the
invitations of this series beside the flyers to the homes.
In 2015 EHC continued the service in the area of Pestszentlőrinc Reformed Church. The vast of our region is suburban,
but including several housing estates and residential parks as well. It is quite difficult to access stairwells, but also in this
area we walked in miracles: someone just came or went, and let us in, or answered the door bell. In this case, it was
much gratitude and joy in our hearts, as if we had received a large gift (since it was so!). Many times I experienced the
reality of the word, which had started me in this ministry: "the stone has been rolled away" (Mk 16:2-4.)
We met some (eg. aunt Eva), who were waiting for us with joy, because the deterioration of health they are no longer
able to attend the church. In a family was a children 's party, here all those present got spiritual gifts and tracts for
kids as well. This is also the gift of our Lord, we pray for them! The majority of those who were visited were not negative, listened to, accepted the invitations and the tracts, which was for a nearby outdoor evangelism. At this Miklós
Bódis Ref. pastor from Transylvania preached the good news to 100-150 people a day.
Let us pray also for those who expelled us (from a staircase) or rejected, "because they do not know what
they do." We must proclaim the Lord Jesus' teaching, the full and clear Gospel, because this is the web which
catches the souls, and it can keep you for eternal life... We are grateful for the joint services, the work done.
Let us pray for further care of the addressed, for the churches! SDG!

In the final campaign of the year, in 5 days we managed to complete
the part, not reached up to that time, of the housing estate started in
2012 . Altogether 13 people took part in the distribution - six of which
came from TransCarpathia to help. The homes of the housing estate
are generally not easy to get in. Here we found that the Lord had
opened the doors, moreover we could have a hand in several good conversations. From them here are a few: A woman raising her 19-year-old
daughter alone. The mother was open to spiritual things and kept them
important. His daughter unfortunately did not, as she used to go to a
church school and had had bad experiences. Another woman was open
since childhood to the "supernatural"
stuff. She would be glad to make conversation with the female minister about that. One man shipwrecked because of
workplace, political and family issues, and of disappointments. Now he tries to live
clinging to God. Maybe we could help him in this.
Reformed Choir - Kelenföld, cond. Csilla Alföldy -Boruss In the distribution we called to an Advent
program, which was jointly organized by
the church and EHC in the hall of a
nearby college. Our guests were the
Kelenföldi Reformed Church choir and
Katalin M. Kiss: Betlehem
our former vice president Csilla AlföldyBoruss with a lot of beautiful Christmas carols, and the actor Csaba Lazar with poems, the ceramic artist Katalin M. Kiss with an exhibition and a
testimony.
The spiritual message following the four Advent candles told about the
growing light, urging that no one should stop until he reaches all the way
to the Light of the World, Jesus.
In the small church established in 2011 several people died recently. Some people were murdered! Let us
pray that they may grow both spiritually and in number. Lett us carry those called now, the visits and the
service of the female Pastor Edit-Szeréna Tverdota-Vass!
The walk of the new city housing estate, but large areas omitted still belong the church. We are looking for the opportunities to continue.

Kisoroszi
In the northern part of Szentendre island is the charming town of Kisoroszi where the Reformed Community House hosted an EHC staff
weekend in March. 34 serving brothers and sisters came from about 12
settlements. It was a great pleasure to be with the former civil servant of
the foundation, Gábor Makay and his large family from Nyíregyháza.
On Friday the evening devotion was held by the local Reformed pastor, Péter Pályi from the Gospel of John 14, about mercy and the love
for neighbours. The Saturday morning conversation was led by Albert
Kovács-Hajdu, Reformed pastor at Nagytétény. Through personal examples he spoke of God's work in us: How God looks for us, and how
EMO-workers on Szentendre Island
He leads us to His Word, attracts to Jesus Christ, and how He builds
us into the community of His people, providing tasks, service as well. Then we talked about how to speak about the
gospel with people not believing.
After lunch, we held a prayer group, and then we went to the village for tract distribution. Alas, in the rainy and
windy Saturday afternoon, unfortunately, we met a few people in person. Rather, we met elderly pensioners, sever al houses were empty - the inhabitants died or work abroad. Where doors were open, they all listened. In addition
to handing over the tracts we called to the evangelistic worships organized for the next week as well. In the evening
we stated with pleasant tiredness: we got everywhere. Thanks be to God for it!
Sunday morning were a prayer-fellowship and a forum discussion, then we attended at the Reformed church service, where the pastor preached the gospel of John 15, about the joy we can obtain only by faith in Jesus Christ,
the Son of God and in obedience to Him. At the end of the worship a touching and sweet surprise was the singing
of the Makay family of nine-members with the instrumental accompaniment of their two children. Before lunch there
was a little time to admire the beauty of the land on the north edge of the island. After lunch we took a quick
farewell, as some of us faced trips of several hours. In the ferry boat leaving for Visegrád- Szentgyörgy puszta we
clasped our hands in prayer, thus we said goodbye to Kisoroszi.

Kecskemét again
In mid-May we were again in Kecskemét. This time we visited the homes
of “Bethlenváros” (city part), about 2,400 families. For Whit Saturday a
family afternoon was organized by the Reformed community, in the area of
the district. The people living there were called to that, and of course EHC
tracts and testimonies were also part of inviting everyone to Christ. Some
of the local congregation too were involved in the work.
Visiting families already started on Thursday afternoon, because we had a
large area till Sunday. It was about to rain around us several times. It was
that when we went to the area, the rain was still in full swing, but by the
time we started the work it stopped. Thank God we were able to walk the
target section with the exception of a few streets. The local pastors visited
the omitted streets.
Home to home in Bethlenváros
We met some open to spiritual matters, but some cynical, or just some rejected it coarsely. A boy in his twenties had a lot of questions to God. So far he has found no answer, though he put
his questions to several people, and therefore also fasted. May the Lord give him to be able to find answers and
find the Lord. We talked to a young couple with open souls, trying to answer many-many questions, which were in
them: What is the difference between the denominations? Why should I, why is it good to go to church? Is it worthwhile to do good, to live ethically? Etc. We hope to continue the relationship, and we can help on them to wards the
Lord. We talked to another family linked to the church too that Jesus called them personally, and not just to a reli gious and moral life, but also said to them too: "Follow me!"
Prayer at the corner...
We could talk to also several elderly people, and among them some who do not believe,
and do not want to believe either. They wait to die – but they are just not prepared! It can
be difficult to start something new at this age, but with God nothing is impossible! Several
times we asked, "What would be with you, if you die?" It turned out that many did not
even think about being after death. They do not care or do not believe in the world bey ond. Several people said they did not want to deal with damnation, hell because it is
"very negative”. Rather, the positive things, the mundane things they are interested in.
We met several mourners too. Among them there were some who did not rebel against
God, but there was a widow, who stormed against God.
At the event on Whit Saturday – we had called to – over a hundred attended, including
several people who had not been in contact with the Reformed church. According to preliminary assessment, with the participation of the now known people the church can
launch several new Bible study groups as well in the area!
We would like to thank the congregation's mission priest, Ferenc Pál and his kind Wife, for the devoted help and
hospitality! We really did not have to care about anything else, just to preach the gospel! Thank you!
Let us carry in prayer the addressed families! May our Lord give, that the word-seeds sown will spring,
grow! Let us pray for the start of new Bible groups, for the services of pastors and church members!
Plans
Bőny-Bana-Rétalap
The Lutheran pastor of the three villages near Győr invited us to reach out to the people who live there. The Protestant congregations too will take part in the campaign and the subsequent evangelism. EHC action date: June 1920-21 2015.
Summer programs
This year will be not one, but two summer weeks - in smaller areas. We ask everyone to think
about in which one he can participate. Maybe will someone undertake both?
Ormánság: Again, we are to go to Baranya, this time to the south-western edge of that, to the
area, named “Ormánság”. Károly Unger Reformed pastor has been serving for 26 years in this
region, care for, spiritual nurture the small, scattered churches. We want to reach every home
of six villages belonging to his his area: Hobol, Gyöngyösmellék, Kétújfalu, Drávafok, Bogdása
and Markóc (about 1,100 families).
Invitations along with the tract will call to the local worship of the next weekend, at which the EHC
staff will also testify. Date: July 6 to 12 2015. From Monday to Friday the visits and invitation will
take place, on Saturday and Sunday will be the worship services.
The Lutheran church invited us to the city, called Csurgó. The young pastor couple has recently served in the city,
and they want to reach out to all the family with the good news (approx. 2,100 homes). In this we will help with
tracts, testimony and with an invitation to an urban evangelism event.
Date of the week: 10-16 August 2015 (From Monday to Sunday).
Please send your application by mail, e-mail, phone till Monday before departure.
We are grateful for the new service opportunity, for the host congregations. Let us pray for the preparations, work ers in sufficient number!
For the autumn we plan to work in the area of Mezőkomárom, Lajoskomárom and Szabadhídvég.
TransCarpathia
At the beginning of August 2014, three of us were honored once again to
participate in the TransCarpathian EHC. Linked to the evangelistic series organized by the Reformed Presbyterian Association they called families
through a week, every day in another locations. We joined this for two days:
on Tuesday we walked the streets in Verbőc (while the other half of the team
invited in the neighbouring Feketepatak), while on Thursday we visited the
families in Csonkapapi and Kispapi, Everywhere we called to the outdoor
evangelism at that evening.
Again we found that people are much more open in TransCarpathia to spiritual things, more people go to church, and the number, the proportion of
those walking in the new life is much higher in the churches. E.g. in Verbőc
we were invited by the hosts into almost every house for a chat, where we
could talk about serious spiritual topics as well, or give testimony. In Verbőc and Feketepatak we invited a total of
approx. 800 families. Thanks the visits and other invitations, advertising, about 750 were listening to the Word of
God at the evening program! A woman delivered from severe depression shared with us her daily internal
struggles. We encouraged older men alienated from the church: it is not too late to seek again the contact with
God, to listen to the Word, pay attention and listen to the Lord, because no one
knows how much time is left for anyone. One of them had a severe heart condi tion, he could barely breathe during the conversation. I was talking to a long-married couple that -for various reasons and disappointments - became Jehovah's wit ness. I wish the clear words of Scripture did remain in them: Everyone needs a
new life. Human performance – no matter how respectable it is- is too little for the
kingdom of God...
In many places the camp of Jehovah's Witnesses is large and active. Also in the
families of the staff there are some who belong there! Indeed, these situations are
not simple!
The conditions are growing awful. People are afraid - and not without reason. Due
to the armed conflict dragging on for months there is a partial mobilization. During our stay there we heard from
several ones that their close acquaintances had got military call-up papers. In some places there were people coming out to the gate with worry when the unfamiliar EHC staff knocked. They were afraid we were also delivering mil itary drafts...
Everyone and everything is uncertain, the financial situation is more and more difficult stage by stage. The believ ers clinging to the Lord live their everyday lives. They seek, ask for wisdom what to do in the given situations.
Meanwhile they testify of Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all and above all, encouraging people living in this environ ment. In several churches they get together every morning at 6 o'clock to pray for the situation, their country, for
peace, for the leaders, and so that the Lord will lead more and more people to Himself by the hardships as well.
Against this background, we were even more grateful to those families who not only welcomed us to their homes
and gave us accommodation during our stay there, but supplied us with all good things, laying a royal table, according to their hearts and the riches of their love. Thanks!
Thanks be to God for these programs, for the visits, conversations, evangelism's! Let us pray for those who
heard the Word that week that it may produce in them blessed fruits! Let us pray for the sick, the disappointed, the anxious! Let us think of those brothers and sisters too, whose close relatives are among the Jehovah's Witnesses! Let us pray for the country, for peace, spiritual awakening! He who can, remotely join the
morning prayer of people there!
"On 14 March 2015 the TransCarpathian EHC visited the Reformed Church of Asztély. Their arrival was waited for
with tense anticipation by the members of the congregation, because at Asztély they had never met Reformed
workers carrying out such a mission, who, like the disciples of Jesus, two by two “roam" the congregation. Yet their
arrival had a very positive impact on the lives of our little community, not only among those who had been visited,
but also among the staff. The staff of the EHC along with the brothers and sisters of Asztély visited the whole vil lage, distributed gospel to every home, calling to the evangelistic week. Beyond the tracts and invitation cards they
took to the members of the congregation a kind of life-example which demonstrated self-denial and un conditional
acceptance of Christ. May God bless their work! "
Gusztáv Iván pastor of Asztély

News, information, requests
Ephesians
As guests of the international EHC, we could come together again last year
with the colleagues from Europe and the former Soviet Union - completed
with some brothers and sisters from the Middle East. Also this time we met
in a Biblical landscape, close to the ancient Ephesus, Turkey.
In addition to the joint Bible studies, lectures and reports we also had time
to get acquainted with each other and talk. One day we visited the ruins of
the ancient Ephesus. In the main square (agora) I thinked it over, that I
was standing next the columns perhaps Apostle Paul too leaned against.
At the theater where they were shouting for two hours that "Great is
The “agora” in Ephesus
Artemis of the Ephesians" (In Latin she is Diana, Acts 19:34), among us
the chorus of the brothers and sisters just had arrived from the former Soviet Union rang out: "O Lord my God,
When I in awesome wonder Consider ... Then sings my soul, My Saviour
The theater in Ephesus
God, to Thee, How great Thou art! ... "(in Russian, of course).
To the Hymn a South Korean Christian group just being there answered
with another Hymn, then we sang together "Amazing grace...!" Later we
visited the ruins of the basilica, which had been built according to tradition
over the tomb of Apostle John. From there we could see the only remaining column, protruding from the bushes, of Artemis temple considered one
of the seven wonders of the ancient world...
Let us pray for the Mission in the World, especially for those countries where the followers of Christ are persecuted. Let us pray for
the Turkish Christians!
New website
We have already written about it that we want to renew the “valamikell.hu” website
(emoalapitvany.hu is to remain for the time being!). The new site has been in "test
mode". According to hope it will soon replace the present one.
Preserving the writings of the old site, the new one will appear enriched with a new
format, a lot of new writings, audio and video materials. I wish it was an instrument in
the hands of our Lord, to reach out, to take on many people to His kingdom!
Thanks
Most of the tract distribution is performed by 10-15 faithful people, many of them for years, over their
power. They are involved almost in all actions, often traveling long hours to the venue. I know that they
serve the Lord and I believe that He will reward their loyalty richly. I "only" want to thank them for being
devoted, and that I can count on them!
Personal
Perhaps few people know that EHC had a colleague who was a helper in a wide range of - our mostly computer tasks, problems. Almost any time I could call him, asked him, and there was rarely a time that he could not help.
The first registration program and the first accounting program of EHC were made by also Him. Both were used for
years. In February this year Tamás Sztanó, my father, finished his Earthly career. Thank all those who, know ing his
disease, departure, carried us in prayers.
Péter Sztanó
EHC car
The current car is 11 years old. Recently it has had a lot of problems, serious failures, high repair
costs. Several times it spent months in the workshop. We were able to solve the most necessary things with a loaned car, but not everything. The mission needs a reliable car, so we
have to change the car. For the time being we do not see the financial background of the
exchange, the details of the sale and purchase. We ask the support of our brothers and sisters in prayer, and we believe that the Lord will open the doors.
Can anyone help?
Let us share our two problems with our brothers and sisters: ● Cleaning the office has been a problem for a longer time. Daily cleaning is solved, but to the bigger jobs (a more thorough cleaning in
the bathroom, kitchen, washing the windows, doors, etc.) some help could be useful very well. ●
Our former civil servant who made the program registering members of the circle of friends and enquirers can less and less able to undertake the maintenance, development of that. We are looking for someone who can develop the program written in Delphi (or substitute it with another
one). Those who can help, please contact us!
E-mail circular letters
In the future the way of sending electronic circulars will change. Under current laws we can send
electronic circulars only to those who subscribe from their own e-mail addresses, and these “subcriptions” should be also documented. Therefore, EHC will send out circulars through a special ized service provider. Anyone who has already received our circulars via e-mail, will receive a notice of the question, whether he will want these further also in the future or not. Here it will be
enough to click on a specific location, and the system will register the address of the person concerned as "subscribed" status. From that time he will get EHC circulars, until he unsubscribe from the list. This will be possible at
any time. We hope the system will work soon, expectedly from the next circular letter.
EHC Worldwide
BELGIUM (11,2 million inh., EHC leader: Bruno Van de Vliet) In 10 years, the work of EHC has opened almost every door in
the provinces of Limburg, Antwerp, Hainaut and Brabant (Walloon and Flemish). Almost a third of households have
received Christian literature. An ambitious program is now being supported by local churches in the province of Brussels. They managed to bring a personal witness to more than half of the households. In 2014, 227,350 families were
reached, with 389 responses. This year 2015 will see a significant change. Bruno Van de Vliet plans to retire at the
end of this month and asks us to pray that the handover of the work will be done wisely.
CZEH REPUBLIC (10,5 million inh., EHC leader: Vladimir Kšikal) Of all Czech regions, Liberec is one of the most needy mission
fields and also the most closed. This region lies in North Bohemia, along the borders with Poland and Germany. This is
the smallest territory of the Czech Republic, with the exception of Prague. The population is particularly burdened by
unemployment and community tensions. Among the four districts, the good news was distributed to the homes of Libe rec, Ceska Lipa, Semily and into the neighboring district of Decin (in the region of Ústí nad Labem). A total of 38,000 families were reached. Pray that the Christian witness will bring, on the spiritual level, new life and a new hope that only
Jesus can give.
July 6 will be a holiday. Religious services are held throughout the country in memory of the execution at the stake of the
Moravian preacher Jan Hus. "Every city has a street named after him and a statue, but often people do not know his teaching" regrets Vladimir Kšikal. EHC will mark the 600th anniversary with a large evangelistic campaign in the hometown
of the famous reformer. 7,000 homes will be visited in the districts of Tábor and Prachatice in South Bohemia. Pray that
many lives will open to the One who reigned in the heart of this faithful Christian who never ceased to say: "Seek the
truth, hear the truth, teach the truth, love the truth, support the truth and defend the truth, even unto death.”
FRANCE (65,7 million inh., EHC leader: Pierre Clément) The leaflet "Finding the Hope" has just been distributed to 15,000 homes in the department of Côte d’Or. "It took me two years to cover 47 villages, small towns, villages and hamlets
along the Saône River between Dijon and Seurre: Val de Saone" says a friend who initiated this project. "Several conversations were a real encouragement. I am very grateful for these tools that facilitate meeting people and give opportunities to witness to the peace and forgiveness received in Jesus Christ”. Continue to pray for the effective introduction of the Word of God into homes and lives.
LEBANON (4,1 million inh., EHC leader:….) Pray for four individuals who fled from Syria and have joined one of our Bible
study groups. They are interested in the Christian faith and show positive inclinations toward the Gospel. Pray that
their hearts will be open and they will accept Jesus!
ETHIOPIA (93,8 million inh., EHC leader: Aynalem Haimanot) We have planted in Hawassa Ay nalem Haimanot & Family , Photo:EHC
and the surrounding areas 65 new Christ Groups this past month. Pray that the
new converts would be effectively discipled and that they would also have a concern for the lost resulting in more Christ Groups being formed in this Orthodox and
Catholic area. Pray for effective follow up of the people who responded to the Gospel during the Christmas campaign which focused on reach Muslims. Pray for the
special follow up course being made available for Muslims who response to the
Gospel message.
CAMEROON (21,1 million inh., EHC leader: Laurent Tagne) This is the first outreach for
the church in the little village of Zang-Sabere. Established since 1974 in the far North, it had never experienced the joy
of witnessing. "Some families go to church as a tradition from generation to generation" recognizes Laurent Tagne.
"But last month, after the visit of an EHC worker, the church organized an evangelistic evening.” Many people turned
to Jesus Christ and began attending church. "It is now experiencing a remarkable numerical and spiritual growth and
mission has become its primary vocation. Pray for a great movement of conversions following the house to house visits. Praise God that, in spite of anti-Christian persecution in the Adamawa mission field, thousands of homes are still
being reached. Christians are being seen as “men of peace,” and the Gospel is still being shared in this whole region.
CANADA (100,2 million inh., EHC leader: Denys Blackmore) „Recently I attended a meeting of evangelical Christian leaders from
across Canada. ...At this event, a body of research was presented addressing trends within the Canadian Church that
relate to fundamental beliefs and practices. The research was based on extensive surveys done by experts polling
people across Canada, both church attenders and non-attenders. The responses that came from evangelicals concern
me deeply. A significant percentage of this group indicated they no longer believe that Jesus is the only way to eternal
life. When asked if it is important to encourage non-Christians to become Christians only a modest percentage strongly
agreed. Most only moderately agreed, some disagreed. Some actually indicated that they feel evangelism is divisive and
should be banned in public places. No wonder we of ten feel we are pushing against a head wind!
What further troubled me was that, in the discussion that followed among Christian leaders, certain words and phrases
were glaringly missing in emphasis, such as evangelism, the lost, salvation and Gospel proclamation.” Pray for Canada!
KOSOVO (1,8 million inh., EHC leader: Bekim Beka) Kosovo is a place that lacks hope. Over a dozen buses leave the country every day with discouraged citizens seeking anywhere else to live. But, Every Home for Christ Kosovo (also called
“Hope for Kosovo”) believes that the Gospel can change this nation. Pray for a revival!
MALI (16,2 million inh., EHC leader: Elise Dabou) Despite the alarming deterioration in the security situation in Mali, EHC is
persevering in reaching the Dogon and Fulani (Peul) populations. Mopti is one of its main areas of outreach. It is lo cated in central Mali, bordering the great northern area where armed groups and jihadists have clashed for nearly a
year. Islamists are still active. In recent months, deadly attacks multiply in the Mopti region. People fear the rise of jihadists. Pray for peace and for freedom to continue to proclaim the Gospel.
MYANMAR (54,6 million inh., EHC leader: U Zin Hla) Pray for our pioneer missionary. Today his team faced Buddhist
monks. Nearly 100 monks surrounded them and they asked so many questions to our missionary. We need to pray
for him to be released from those monks to preach the gospel boldly, even in the midst of these Buddhist monks
MOZAMBIQUE (25,7 million inh., EHC leader: Godfrey Bhodyera) Anacleto Luis Ferrao passed away on
March 6, 2015 from complications during surgery to remove a cyst. He served as the Every Home
for Christ National Director in Mozambique until he died, leaving behind his wife and six children—
and an incredible legacy in Mozambique.
Pray for the new leadership in Mozambique after the passing of National Director Anacleto Luis
Ferrao. Pray that God will guide the interim National Director, Godfrey Bhodyera, as he carries on
the work.
ROMANIA (21,7 million inh., EHC leader: Samuel Tuţac) We are hoping to launch a new project in Bucha- Anacleto Luis Ferrao
rest in 2015. This is a big project as we have not been able to do much ministry in this large city up until now. Pray for
the meeting we will be having with key Christian leaders in the city
SERBIA (7,1 million inh., EHC leader: Ivica Stamenkovic) Praise God for the recent Gospel and seed packet distribution. Over
the last two months, workers distributed 37,000 gospel booklets along with gifts of packets of seeds, which are appreciated by the people in the area. The responses the workers have already received are wonderful!
SLOVAKIA (5,4 million inh., EHC leader: Ondrej Garaj) During 2014, Slovak Christians have gone to 330,000 families with
the Good News. Their joy in witnessing firsthand to their experience of God led nearly 500 people to become interested in the gospel. A new edition of leaflets invites Christians to repeat the experience. More than 300,000 copies were
generously printed by our ministry partners, "Every Home Crusade" and transported from Northern Ireland. Pray for
the effective use of this literature. A website was designed to receive and answer the most frequent questions about
God, religion and the Christian faith, through videos.
As the demand for Bible correspondence courses grows in Slovakia, we are developing a third course based on the
Gospel of John. We are working on the graphics now. Pray that these materials would be ready to help believers grow
in their faith soon!
SOUTH AFRICA (48,4 million inh., EHC leader: Cor Reyneke) Pray for Highway Ministries, who will be reaching out to truck
drivers and taxi commuters at truck stops and filling stations in Heidelberg, Gauteng Province and Harrismith, Free state Province. The drivers will be handed a parcel containing a CD and gospel literature and be prayed for.
CREATIVE ACCESS #30
In this nation, some of our workers are the only Christians in their families. That is why we praise the Lord for this re port from our National Director: “Today my mother repented and said the prayer of repentance. Glory to our Lord
