MINIMIZING CORRUPTION
Correct sealing of a container using a Sealing Terminal
is one of the most important security features in the
Container Security Solution.
SECURITY INCORPORATED AT MULTIPLE LEVELS
The Sealing Terminal is used to link the DanEseal to
the specific container’s ISO number and other systems
utilizing optical character recognition (OCR).
To prevent corruption and fake sealing the operator
identifies himself with a personal password on the
Sealing Terminal. If any issues with the sealing occurs,
it can be linked to the operator.
The Sealing Terminal can be used to code information
into the DanEseal, for example Unique Consignment
Reference (UCR).
DETECTION OF MANIPULATION
The operator is connected to the Lyngsoe LIVE
Logistics™ platform through the Sealing Terminal. The
operator will scan the DanEseal before it is attached to
the container. The Sealing Terminal will verify whether
or not it is an authorized seal with all included security
functions. The Sealing Terminal cannot perform a
correct container sealing with unauthorized seals.
The operator then seals the container and scans the
DanEseal for verification of a securely closed seal. The
operator ends the sealing process by using the Sealing
Terminal to take a photo of the correctly attached
DanEseal. This can be used as documentation of
correct sealing. All information about the sealing
process is sent to the Lyngsoe LIVE Logistics™ platform.
