Publication - Kimberley`s A Day Spa
Thank You
“The response to our Facebook Contest was overwhelming – hundreds of stories that told us why
Kimberley’s…A Day Spa is your spa. I have read and reread each story and frankly this was a
daunting task! Ultimately the winners each told a story that had universal appeal. They spoke of
nervous first time spa visits, of weddings and of lasting relationships.
When I began as a small hair salon 26 years ago, no one could have convinced me that I would
be so blessed. Not every day as a hair stylist and business owner has been easy. But reading each of
your stories has assured me that it was worth it. None of this would have been possible without my
caring staff…but most importantly…Kimberley’s wouldn’t be here without YOU!
Our winners’ stories will be featured on our website and on our Facebook page. We hope you enjoy
reading them as much as I did!”

HEAVEN ON EARTH SPA PACKAGE PLUS A BUTTER CRÈME FLOAT
My first visit to Kimberley’s was my first spa visit anywhere, so I was nervous. Everything was so
relaxing and beautiful, and every staff member made me feel welcome and pampered beyond my
imagination! I’ve been back many times and always ask for gift certificates for my birthday and
Christmas! I wouldn’t go anywhere else! Thank you to all of Kimberley’s staff who are exceptional,
every time!!!

KIMBERLEY’S DELECTABLE INDULGENCES FLOAT
Best Kimberley’s moment was my daughter in law and her bridal party filling up the hair salon,
laughing and enjoying themselves while being made beautiful for our special day!

KIMBERLEY’S DELECTABLE INDULGENCES FLOAT
I couple of things that I remember vividly from 25 years ago…
I had a 1:00 ceremony in Saratoga and I lived in Rotterdam so
Kim had to start very early in the morning getting all of us ready.
She had done my mom, mother-in-law, sister and me. I remember
my brothers taking turns driving all of us in different shifts to and from Latham and I thought it
was so funny driving home with my hair all done with my veil on with jeans and a button-down
shirt.
Kim was always the consummate professional and perfectionist! The 80’s was known for big and
curly hair and Kim always wanted every hair in place. I never worried when she did my hair
because I knew it would always be beautiful. I don’t even think we did a test run beforehand
because I knew whatever she did, I would love. She always joked that she would put in enough
hairspray to withstand a hurricane. Not once did I have to touch up my hair throughout the day
or night! I remember driving home that night and taking out all of the bobby pins – it seemed to
take an hour to get them all out. There were so many and we just laughed as I just kept finding
another and another...

KIMBERLEY’S CHAMPAGNE PEDICURE
My first introduction to Kimberley’s was, let me say - many years ago when this beautiful spa was
located in Bayberry Plaza. I walked into the beauty salon with a ‘highlighting gone bad’. My very
dark hair had streaks of white - that’s right white. Because it took so long to get the highlighting to
process, there wasn’t time to get the hair cut I desperately needed. Therefore, I was forced to report
to work the next morning looking - well - there are no words to describe how I looked. My close
friend took one look at me and said ‘I’m taking you to Kimberley’s.’
Kim showed me that my hair had been severely damaged. It had the elasticity of a rubber band.
Over several months my hair was nursed back to health and each cut and color was better than the
one before...starting with the very first. I think I’ve been going to Kimberley’s well over 15 years.
