He had all the tools and a disposition to match and earned Top September Sale
Honors with a $24,000 sale price. He won third in the 129 team, go twice, Friday
afternoon jackpot on the head side, was previewed in the tie-down and breakaway
roping, and Hip 255 "Gunner Echo" a 2010 AQHA Gray Gelding sired by Mr Play Holly
x Playgun was one very nice gelding offered by "Get 'R Done Horse Training",
Barrhead, Alberta, Canada. Ridden in the jackpot by Trey Gallais, the special
gelding sold to Shane Johnson, New Town, ND.

Billings Livestock’s “Cow Country Classic Catalog Sale” September
23-25 welcomed a stellar selection of horses where “Rope Horses”
took center stage and the top five averaged $20,000.
Head, heel, or breakaway, the rope
horses previewed Friday afternoon in Billings Livestock’s sale horse jackpot hosted
by the HorsePalace Arena where 129 teams
put on a show - it was two complete goarounds and a top 12 finals - and one bigtime in Billings, Montana.

Championship’s Dennis Tryan, the professional display of rope horses blasted off the
three-day, 82nd anniversary celebration at
Billings Livestock including the grand opening of a new, 36 stall horse barn.
“Rope Horses” claimed 14 positions
in the BLS Top Twenty Sellers listing bearing an average ticket price of $13,160,
and overall 82 rope horses averaged $5,881.
A weekend total of 765 head of
horses were offered with good horses catching good demand where the top 100 horses
averaged $7,144.
Young and talented, Hip 255 “Gunner Echo” a 2010 AQHA Gray Gelding x Mr
Play Holly x Playgun and out of a Major Bonanza bred dam took home top sale honors
with a $24,000 sale price.

Gallais and earning a third place average
check in the jackpot, the gelding was previewed heading, heeling, tie-down, and
breakaway roping.
Kind and willing, the deluxe gelding
sold to Shane Johnson, New Town, ND.
He showed outstanding in the barrel racing demonstration, and Hip 147 “Bully
At The Bar” a 2010 AQHA Bay Roan Gelding
x Platinum Bully x Bully Bullion earned reserve sale honors with a $20,000 sale price.
Consigned by Schmitt Horse Ranch,
and shown by Riley Schmitt, the gelding ran
1D/2D times, came extremely broke, started
on the hot heels, and paid into Future Fortunes.
Pitzer Ranch, Ericson, NE purchased the quality gelding.
Turner Performance Horses, East
Helena, MT offered Hip 231 “Jae Bar Smart
Mister” a 2004 AQHA Sorrel Gelding x
Smart Little Mister and out of a daughter
of Doc’s Jack Sprat that had been hauled
and won on heeling.
He won sixth in the average, came
gentle, seasoned, and safe - brought $19,000
and sold to James Sandy, Claresholm, Alberta.
He certainly knew his job and was
good at it, too, and Hip 87 "Whitwater
Chunky a 2001 AQHA Bay Gelding x Rocky
Winder was a solid tie-down and heel horse
offered by Cody Larsen, Whitman, NE.
The ready-to-rodeo gelding brought
$13,000.
Solid, solid, solid - from top to bottom - the top five horses averaged $20,000
with the top ten at $16,970 top 20 averaged $13,375, top 50 brought $9,682 and
the top 100 averaged $7,144.
Again, the younger, plainer, less experienced horses continue to see lessened
demand while the better, overall quality individuals continue to see increased demand.
Loose horses rocked it as the top
processing horse brought 58 cents and the
prospects shined with the top five averaging $1,850, top ten at $1,695; top 20 at
$1,405, top 50 at $1,055, and top 100 averaging $867.

Catalog Sale” is set for October 28-29 offering an indoor, climate and ground controlled preview for the barrel horses, cutters, saddle and ride horses, calf horses, and
team roping horses set for 3 p.m. on Friday,

of cutting training but at our place he has been a nice younger ranch gelding. He has a great
handle and covers ground. He has a very quiet mind and always wants to please. He has never

of ML Gray Scamp x How D Silver Man. 16hh 1100lb grey gelding. Marshmallow has been a
very nice ranch gelding for us. He really travels to covers ground but also super gentle/
quite minded. He has a great one handed handle as well has a nice stop. He has a ranch horse
head set that will never get in the way of a beautiful view. We have had beginners on him
and they got along great. He has done impeccable for us and is now ready for another home

Gone Hollywood x Peppy Badger Chex. Nano runs 1D/2D times in smaller pens, and 2D/3D
times in the larger pens. She is a free-runner but is very ratey and won't run by a barrel.
She was started as a working cow horse so she has a great handle, big stop and very cowy.
Along with running barrels, she runs 21-22 second poles, has been used for goat tying and

headed and heeled on him and have gone to the pay window on both sides. My girlfriend has
ran barrels and breakaway roped on him and she got along with him pretty good. He has been
my go to horse for ranch work as well. We have never had any box problems. Scores good and

14.3hh. Dually is 100% foundation bred, with
Poco Bueno and Mr. Blackburn. He is GBED
positive, but I have not has any issues with
it and he shows no signs of it. Negative on
everything else. (From trainer) For the past
few months he has been used on a ranch for
checking on cattle and fences. Was the
ranches favorite horses. Has put many miles
on. Was learning how to rope and track a
dummy. This boy is very athletic! Has speed
as well. Could be used as a ranch horse or
barrel horse! Experienced rider only as he is

Tobiano Gelding. Cochise is probably the
prettiest black and white paint horse we have
ever owned. Gorgeous conformation, pretty
babydoll head and a super sweet attitude to
go with it. We have owned him for the past
two years and he has been a favorite around
the ranch, He is gentle and easy going. He
is easy to catch and likes attention, he's
always happy to go to work on the ranch or
just for a fun trail ride. Last summer he
was started on mounted shooting and did very
well. He is safe enough that Ida would ride
him bareback around at the shooting competitions carrying our son who was a year old
at the time. Cochise is smooth traveling,
sure footed in rough country and will go
where he's asked, crosses creeks, swim the
river, over bridges and through thick brush
with ease. We have used him for every job
on the ranch, gathering, sorting, branding,
doctoring and checking the herd. He rides
great in the arena too. Lopes beautiful
circles, slow and easy going. Picks up his leads
with ease, does flying lead changes, travels
level headed, has nice spins and he stopes
great on the hind end. He is great to bathe,
clip, shoe, loads in and backs out of the

COCHISE – 2008 GRADE Black & White Tobiano Gelding. Cochise is probably the
prettiest black and white paint horse we have ever owned. Gorgeous conformation,
pretty babydoll head and a super sweet attitude to go with it. We have owned him
for the past two years and he has been a favorite around the ranch, He is gentle
and easy going. He is easy to catch and likes attention, he's always happy to go to
work on the ranch or just for a fun trail ride. Last summer he was started on
mounted shooting and did very well. He is safe enough that Ida would ride him
bareback around at the shooting competitions carrying our son who was a year old at
the time. Cochise is smooth traveling, sure footed in rough country and will go where
he's asked, crosses creeks, swim the river, over bridges and through thick brush
with ease. We have used him for every job on the ranch, gathering, sorting,
branding, doctoring and checking the herd. He rides great in the arena too. Lopes
beautiful circles, slow and easy going. Picks up his leads with ease, does flying lead
changes, travels level headed, has nice spins and he stopes great on the hind end.
He is great to bathe, clip, shoe, loads in and backs out of the trailer. He is up to

HUCKLEBERRY- 2005 GRADE Blue Roan
Gelding. Huckleberry is coming out of the
mountains and is headed to the Billings Horse
Sale. He stands 14.2 hands and will walk with
the big horses all day and has a nice smooth
lope on him. We have used him to gather,
check and sort pairs a lot this summer. Cross
the Red Deer River in the Banff National
Park on him several times and he steps over
logs on the trail. He is a point and go horse
with a willing attitude. As you can see from
the video he is use to traffic and not much
seems to both him. Huckleberry is good to
go up and down the steep terrain and he is

Roxy has been on more mountain trails than
Yogi the Bear himself. She has spent most
of her life packing dudes up and down the
trails. Crosses water, bogs and logs with
ease. Use her every day or once every 4
