Slots Mike Murray and Brandon Paul will provide speed on the edges, while Mike Fancher will be inside runner. Asa Barnhill has stood out this far in camp and will do a solid job at quarterback. The area we have inexperience is our line and if we are going to contend for the playoffs, we must be solid in that area. Losing fourand three-year varsity players, Zach Handy and Cameron Oathout are going to be hard to replace, but we are confident that the Huskies will rebound and be very competitive in the As.” Amsterdamʼs Brett Stanavich Amsterdam ■ Coach: Doug Edick (First season) ■ Last seasonʼs record: 9-1, 5-0 Class A Northwest, lost in sectional final to Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake ■ Key departed players: Nick Liverio, Nate Farley, Mike Shatas, Chris Carbone, Chris Rodriquez. ■ Key returning players: Geo Rodriquez, Mason Calhoun, Brett Stanavich, Isiah Martin, Hector Diaz. ■ Newcomers: Gabe Orengo, Rob Sherlock, Christian Lopez, Nick Lomanto ■ Coachʼs comments: “We have pretty good team speed, but we are inexperienced on the line.” Friday, August 31 Bishop Maginn at Gloversville, 7 p.m. Averill Park at Amsterdam, 7 p.m. Johnstown at Cobleskill-Richmondville, 7 p.m. Broadalbin-Perth at Stillwater, 7 p.m. Dolgeville at Little Falls, 7 p.m. Saturday, September 1 Canajoharie at Warrensburg, 1 p.m. Taconic Hills at Fonda-Fultonville, 2 p.m. Friday, September 7 Johnstown at Broadalbin-Perth, 7 p.m. Scotia-Glenville at Gloversville, 7 p.m. Lake George at Canajoharie, 7 p.m. Amsterdam at Mohonasen, 7 p.m. Saturday, September 8 Fonda-Fultonville at Cairo-Durham, 1 p.m. Mohawk at Dolgeville, 1:30 p.m. Friday, September 14 Tamarac at Johnstown, 7 p.m. Hudson Falls at Broadalbin-Perth, 7 p.m. Gloversville at Niskayuna, 7 p.m. Saturday, September 15 Fonda-Fultonville at Watervliet, 1 p.m. Canajoharie at Hoosic Valley, 1 p.m. High School Football Schedule Amsterdam at Queensbury, 1:30 p.m. Dolgeville at Cooperstown, 2 p.m. Friday, September 21 Gloversville at Amsterdam, 7 p.m. Rensselaer at Canajoharie, 7 p.m. Johnstown at Glens Falls, 7 p.m. Broadalbin-Perth at Schalmont, 7 p.m. Saturday, September 22 Chatham at Fonda-Fultonville, 1 p.m. Dolgeville at Westmoreland, 2 p.m. Friday, September 28 Hudson Falls at Johnstown, 7 p.m. Glens Falls at Broadalbin-Perth, 7 p.m. Bishop Gibbons at Canajoharie, 7 p.m. Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk at Amsterdam, 7 p.m. Gloversville at Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake, 7 p.m. Saturday, September 29 Fonda-Fultonville at Coxsackie-Athens, 1 p.m. Sauquoit Valley at Dolgeville, 1:30 p.m. Friday, October 5 South Glens Falls at Gloversville, 7 p.m. Schalmont at Johnstown, 7 p.m. Schuylerville at Broadalbin-Perth, 7 p.m. Canajoharie at Catholic Central, 7 p.m. Broadalbin-Perth ■ Coach: Jim Pelneau (Second season) ■ Last seasonʼs record: 3-6, 5th in Class B West ■ Key departed players: R.J.
