Wheeling Corrugating manufactures fabricated steel and other products for the construction, highway and
agricultural markets. These products include steel decking, light gauge roofing and siding, pre-engineered
building systems, culvert, HVAC and painted sheet and coil products.
Galvanized Roofing and Siding
There are three other types of
galvanized roofing and siding:
Barnmaster® (1 1/4" and 2 1/2"), for
strength on everyday, economical
projects; Industrial Siding, for heavy
duty use to protect against rough
weather and rough abuse; and 5V
Roofing, tough enough to handle
light commercial applications and
handsome enough for residential
installations.
Painted Roofing and Siding
The Company’s painted roofing and siding
is a time proven building material. There
are seven distinctive profiles of the
product known as Channeldrain®
Paneldrain®, Centurydrain®, Channeldrain
2000®,
R-Panel, LOC-SEAM and 5V ROOFING.

WHO WE ARE
Hawkeye Distribution, Inc. is a two-step wholesale distributor of building material and lumber products,
serving retail lumber and building material dealers since 1947. Located in Sioux City, Iowa, Hawkeye prides
itself on focusing 100 percent of our attention on serving dealers who are in the business of retailing our
products, and we concentrate our efforts on offering products and services that fulfill their specific needs.
A HISTORY OF EXCELLENCE
Hawkeye Distribution, Inc. was founded in 1947 in Lincoln, Nebraska by the owners of a group of retail
lumberyards located in Iowa and Nebraska. In the early 1950’s, R.C. Burke purchased the retail yards located
in Sioux City along with the Hawkeye operation in Lincoln. The Lincoln location was subsequently sold and
Hawkeye’s operations were moved to Sioux City. At this point Hawkeye was separated from the retail yards
and began operation as an independent two-step distributor of building materials such as roofing, insulation,
and steel roofing. In the early 1960’s, Hawkeye purchased Thomas Mould Lumber from its founder who was
an early lumber broker and pioneer in the lumber industry. The move established Hawkeye as one of the few
full line building material and lumber distributors in the region. In the 1990’s, Hawkeye was sold to its
current management. These managers continue to operate the company today, striving for superior customer
service and continuing strength in the marketplace.
AN INDUSTRY WATCH DOG
Since its inception, Hawkeye Distribution has made customer service a high priority, and we think of our
company as an advocate for our customers in negotiating with manufacturers. We negotiate pricing that will
allow you to compete and we made sure our customers are
treated fairly during times of product shortage. For example,
when Hawkeye recognized that the major brand insulation
manufacturers were not willing to keep the independent
retail lumberyards competitive on their products, we went
out and found a quality fiberglass insulation manufacturer
that valued the lumberyard business. We make sure that the
manufacturer agreed to price the product so the lumberyard
could compete and still make a nice profit. That’s just one of
the ways that we work to protect your business.
