Soon after I started managing Graham Tire in 2014 I contacted Cara Kimberly to ask what committees I could get involved in and she first suggested the Agri-Business committee. At the first meeting I received a very warm welcome from Cara and the committee. After hearing their goals of working for more ag related scholarships for students in the Hastings area and learning more about the annual Ag Appreciation Barbecue and its purpose, I was excited to help in any way that I could. Cara soon invited me to Business, Industry and Education (BIE) Committee meeting and was welcomed with open arms once again. Both of these committees are filled with successful professional business persons that care about the Hastings community and are committed to growing the economy. Getting involved with the Chamber has allowed me to grow as a business manager working with other business professionals and it has also put Graham Tire in a position to be known as a business that cares about the Hastings area and I’m truly proud to be associated with such a proactive group of people. I can tell they care about its members and Hastings as a whole. I look forward to many years of working together! Sincerely, Bill Popple BUILDERS BUREAU of HASTINGS Builders Bureau Meeting February 12, 2016 7:30 a.m. at the Chamber We encourage members to attend as we will discuss the following: • By-Law Review • Local Scholarships • New Officer Election, with past Chair as Co-Chair for one year • Ideas or suggestions from members V V V V V V V V V V V V V V V V V V V V V V V V Legislative Luncheon Coffee w/Senator Seiler Thursday, February 11 — Saturday — Tuesday, March 8 February 20 March 12 12 - 1:30 PM - carpool 9:45 AM W Capital Building - Lincoln W Legislative Conference Calls — Thursday — January 28 February 11 February 25 March 10 March 24 April 7 Kitty’s Roadhouse Chamber 9 AM 2:10 - 2:30 PM Hastings Area Chamber of Commerce 4 Ribbon Cuttings, Anniversary Salutes, & Events Ribbon Cutting Ribbon Cutting Ribbon Cutting Glenwood Business Center 314 North Burlington Avenue Ste B Hastings App 906 West 2nd Street Ste 206 Bryan Heart Mary Lanning Cardiology 715 North Kansas Ste 206 Ribbon Cutting Ribbon Cutting Ribbon Cutting Endeavor Boutique 3606 Cimarron Plaza Ste 275 Hastings Orthopaedic 2207 Osborne Drive West Ste 100 Central Nebraska Kidney Care Mary Lanning Healthcare 715 North Kansas Ste 202 1 Year Anniversary Salute Business After Hours Business After Hours Balance & Mobility of Hastings 3601 Cimarron Plaza Ste 100 Hastings Orthopaedic 2207 Osborne Drive West Ste 100 Holiday Open House Bryan Heart Mary Lanning Cardiology 715 North Kansas Ste 206 Marketing Roundtable Hastings Area Chamber of Commerce 301 South Burlington Avenue by IdeaBank Marketing at the Hastings Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Social Business Industry Education at Winestyles of Hastings www.hastingschamber.com New Member Profiles, Member & Chamber News Start Over Rover Anne Halbert 134 North Barnes Avenue Hastings, NE 68901 402-834-0640 [email protected] www.startoverrover.org 5 Start Over Rover takes in strays, relinquished pets, abused and neglected pets, puppy mill “cast-offs,” and shelter transfers.
