Curriculum Vitae Diannah Morgan (310) 614-6245 [email protected] EXECUTIVE SUMMARY Diannah Morgan is a computer professional with 24 years of experience that ranges from DOS to the Internet, Intel PC to Mac. She enjoys both creative and technical challenges as she blends the worlds of multimedia and technology. A published technical author and Apple Certified Instructor Diannah enjoys creating Internet applications, websites, documentaries, and animations. And when she’s not working on the computer she’s working with the U.S.C.G.Auxiliary, exploring the world of marine technology and aiding in boater safety and search and rescue missions. OBJECTIVES I would like to be a part of a team, perhaps a diverse team, of professionals creating websites or multimedia programming that furthers the use of technology at the personal level. The iPhone and other PDA platforms that make life easier for people to gain helpful information on the fly are becoming more and more popular. I’ve begun working with the iPhone SDK and would love to be on a team that works on iPhone or other PDA platforms. STRENGTHS I’ve always been able to pick up the latest technologies and applications and use them efficiently. The collaborative environment sparks both my enthusiasm and creativity. But I’m self-motivated enough to also work on my own when necessary. I rarely get stuck in a rut; I always push forward to find a solution. I live to troubleshoot. By nature, I tend to think outside of the box. An intense curiosity keeps me learning new things and acquiring new skills. LANGUAGES. Knew Pascal from a class at SMC and taught myself C during lunch. Was rewarded for my efforts with a promotion and tasked with designing and implementing a proof of concept application, the Product Action Report & Status application. Used in house to track bugs on one of the first ANSI standard SQL database engines. STRICTLY WEBSITES NPA: NpAlliance.org This is a CMS site supported by Expression Engine(EE) and Democracy in Action(DIA). I inherited it and act as webmaster and technical consultant. It's maintained by several of the Doctors on the Board of the NPA through EE and DIA. I create new templates and help them out of jams when they get into them. MakeupnMorebySonia.com This was a fun design, both technically and creatively. The site is supported by a mySQL database to update the pictures. It uses two templates one for thumbnails and one for full displays. Chris Gerolmo: OverThere.tv Chris Gerolmo asked me to do a website for him and his TV series Over*There. Chris also played in a band and wrote several songs and released a DVD "Who's Your Daddy." The site is mostly HTML with a Flash slide show featuring one of Chris’ original songs. Jill Place: ActingIntuitive.com We’ve redesigned the site and expanded the functionality to include content management support when she’s ready, although Jill knows a good deal of HTML code herself. Bob Gould: iScoutLA.com aka boblocations.com/ This site is ment to support Bob as he scouts locations for TV and Movies. When he scouts locations for a show he uploads to his site and arranges a link for them to see what he's found. I’m hoping to code an iPhone application for him to upload and display scouted images. Charlie Hutchins: CharlieHutchins.com Charlie is an Actor. His site is always changing. We need to set him up with a dynamic resume module so he can update his resume after every show he's in. David Harris: CommandDigitalLA.com David had me put up this Biz card site until he could provide content. He's an AVID editor and sometimes I work for him as a Final Cut Pro editor. It all depends on what needs to be done. The site sported some interactive flash as the ray guns fired when clicked on. My Page: FCPeditor.com This is my page. I provide news and clips from my work as a video editor and motion graphic artist. Occasionally I mention my webmaster work here but not to often as I try to keep things separate. Leonard Potash: LaborForSinglePayer.com I designed and maintain this site. It's an activist site for the Labor Task Force for Universal Healthcare. It gets updated monthly. We could have set this up to be dynamic but the budget wasn't there for it and the updates don't take me but an hour or so per month. Jerri Sher: LiveLifetheMovie.com I inherited this site when it was almost complete. The previous web developer wasn't responding to Jerri's direction in a satisfactory manner. We worked together and finished it. I now make changes when needed. Sandra Orwig: theOfficialRayPriceFanClub.com A member of the Ray Price asked me to develop a website for him. For a while she maintained the site herself until it got to be too much for her. I'm now back as webmaster and I'm slowly bringing the design up to date. Stan Becker: BillyRandom.com Stan, aka Billy Random, asked me to put together a site for his music. Since then he's moved on to another state but his website is still up, although it's changed a bit.
