Participants:
Kindergarten - High School
Registration Deadline:
Sunday, August 18, 2013
Purpose:
For children and youth to familiarize themselves with hymns music and texts.
Benefits:
The participants can learn about God and Christian living.
The participants can learn to express their feelings and thoughts about God through playing their instruments.
 The participants can learn to have a meaningful worship experience and to serve in music ministry.


Hymn Celebration
Performance:
 2 weeks prior to the 2013 Hymn
Celebration, all participants will be
notified of their performance time.
 The participants will perform in front of
judges and other audience members.
 The judge must have the music that will
be played in a freely arranged style.
Photocopies are inadmissible. The
judge will have both hymnbooks:
Century Praise and Baptist
Hymnal; participants do
not need to bring
hymnbooks on the day
of performance.
Awards:
Participants do not compete against each other.
All participants will be rated on their own
performance and written understanding of the
hymn text. Every participant will receive a
trophy award for each entered category. The
participants with Outstanding Award will be
invited to perform in the honor recital.

Registration Form:
Pick up a registration form on Sunday in the
Main Lobby or during any office hour at the
church office. Or, download it from www.mbcla.org.
Deadline:
Turn in or mail in your completed registration
form with all the titles of the chosen hymns and
the fee on or before Sunday, August 18, 2013.
