WHAT is the
“One Minute Scare the Crap Out of Me”
Video Contest?
“One Minute Scare the Crap Out of Me” Video Contest seeks to find the most
scary, clever, and/or frighteningly humorous short that can deliver the goods in
sixty seconds. The public gets to vote for their favorite films until they’ve been
whittled down to the very best 13.
The top 13 films will be seen and judged by a panel of celebrities.
All 13 finalists are awarded prizes with the top five receiving cash, goods,
and significant exposure. The overall winner receives cash, prizes, and a trip
to Hollywood, CA where the filmmaker will meet industry insiders. *

The Judges.
Jason Alexander may be better known for his work on the
iconic TV series "Seinfeld" but he has deep roots in horror. His
first film, THE BURNING, was the first movie produced by
Harvey Weinstein. Jason's a star of stage, TV, and the big
screen, and was named half of the greatest TV duo in history by
TV guide.
Adrienne Barbeau is best known for her work on TV's Maude,
and in such Horror Classics as The Fog and Swamp Thing, and
the Stephen King-scripted Creepshow and Two Evil Eyes, and
more recently Tales of Halloween. She starred in John
Carpenter's Escape From New York, and was a regular on the
HBO series Carnivale. Adrienne is an author, actress, and was
the voice of Catwoman on Batman: the Animated Series.
The Judges.
Clive Barker is considered a true "Master Of Horror", a
prolific visual artist working in a variety of media and the
acclaimed creator of Hellraiser, and Executive Producer of
the critical smash Gods and Monsters. He is also the cocreator of the production company Midnight Picture Show
which has released four feature films to date.
Jeff Buhler's re-imagining of the mind bending classic
JACOB'S LADDER is currently shooting in Atlanta. Other
projects include a re-boot of THE GRUDGE , a new take
on PET SEMATARY for Paramount Studios and his
original film DESCENDANT. Buhler's adaptation of Clive
Barker's short story THE MIDNIGHT MEAT TRAIN has
become a fan favorite and his directorial debut
INSANITARIUM went on to achieve cult status among
horror fans. Jeff is currently developing a television series
based on the novella NIGHTFLYERS by Game of
Thrones author George R.R. Martin.
The Judges.
Sean Cunningham created one of the most iconic
villains of all time as the Director and Writer of the
original Friday the 13th spawning one of the greatest
horror franchises of all time. But he has also
produced over 25 horror films including the cult
classic House, and the box office smash Freddy vs.
Jason.
Robert Duvall has been a tour de force for decades.
Nominated for 7 Academy Awards, Winner of Four
Golden Globe Awards, and an Emmy. His dedication to
the craft of acting, from his Academy Award winning turn
in The Apostle, to the Godfather films, and The Road,
have earned him the title of one of America's greatest
actors. Who better to be a judge than the Academy Award
nominated star of "The Judge"?
The Judges.
Todd Farmer has been on both sides of the camera as a
star in Horror Films and a writer of such hits as Jason X,
My Bloody Valentine, and The Monkey’s Paw.
Alejandro Hidalgo directed the highest grossing thriller
of all time in Venezuela, The House at the End of Time
and is renowned for his amazing visual style.
