Dear Parents,
Our Active After School Program is well underway. The children are loving their rugby league.
Mr. Ward and Year 6 are planning the Year 6 Farewell and our whole school is preparing for our
Cultural Day and annual Presentation Night. We have a busy term ahead full of fun and
educational events.
WOW Day - Mufti Day - Friday 14th November
This year we are participating in WOW Day! During WOW Day we wear orange to school. This
is to support our local State Emergency Services. We all donate a gold coin for this very
important charity. In the country, we understand how much we need the State Emergency
Services and ask that you support them generously on Friday 14th November.

K/1 have been learning Origami as part of our Cultural Celebrations unit. In Japan, Boy’s Day
Festival is celebrated with people flying amazing kites. Our Japanese guest, Mrs Shimizu (senior)

wonderful time learning a new skill. Mrs. Shimizu
Murwillumbah Show Excursion
K-6 enjoyed the events at Murwillumbah Show. We learned about shearing sheep and all about
Llamas. The Pavilion was very interesting. We saw our school’s display and all the farming
