Terrific Kids Are Ready!!
Rumor has it there is a huge crowd of
Terrific Kids who are gathering at the Old Kings
Elementary School Jan 19th & 21st...
We may need all the help we can get to
welcome them and to present medallions and
Certificates of Achievement so if you haven’t
signed up or committed to be there please do so and
try to get in the action for at least one of the two
nights of the Terrific Kids programs.
PG Allen will open the program to the kids
and families and our members will be helping on
stage and throughout the event with any needs or
wants from the crowds that will no doubt fill the
auditorium both nights.
Last years’ events truly opened the eyes of
our members who attended to see the joy and
smiles (and some “terrified” terrific kids) who
crossed the stage to get their medals and
certificates. The look on their faces rivaled
Academy Award winners reactions when their
names were called.
Our club made a great impression on the
parents and families of the children so lets keep up
the tradition and share the Kiwanis giving power.
Let’s wear our K-Shirts to unite the effort
and if you are in need a of a Kiwanis polo shirt
please contact Prez Maria!
You can see the number
of kids we may have from
the number of parents and
family that show up
The terrific kids love getting
their medallions and
certificates.
So now you can help our club if you are an
Amazon shopper!!
Oral has set up a site where you can go Surfing on
Amazon and anything you order from the site the club
will get a percentage of the profit. How easy can it
get?!
Details coming soon so stay tuned! As of now we
are known as Kiwanis International of Palm
Coast. Oral is working on the kinks and it should be
straightened out very soon.
Zone Conference...
The Zone conference for our division will be held
on February 20th in Orlando, FL. It will be held at
Timber Creek High School and brings to the table a
wealth of knowledge and comradery that goes hand in
hand with the ideals of Kiwanis.
For our new members it is a taste of what all
clubs are doing, and what they can do in the future to
thrive, as well as giving some serious info on what we,
and our own club, can do to make the world a better
place for all children in general.
As during the yearly conferences, the wealth of
knowledge shared will take you and your vision of
Kiwanis to new heights and will ensure that behind our
“Little Club That Could” is an entity that holds
powerful ways and means to spread smiles throughout
the world through the many Kiwanis clubs that do what
we do here...only our club does it better.
:)
(editors note...at press time, there were two different
locations for our Zone Conference...watch for details in
the very near future.)

This From Our Florida Gov!...
My Dear Kiwanians,
Well, we have come to the end of a busy first month. By now, most clubs have completed their installations.
I hope that you have started off this year with renewed fervor for Kiwanis and have been spreading your “Passion
for People! Passion for Service!”
I have had the pleasure of performing numerous installations, attending club anniversaries and,
unfortunately, funerals. This is where “Passion Place” comes into play; please go onto the website and click on
“Passion Place” and this will direct you to the Facebook page where we can post those that are in need of prayer.
We are a family and, as such, we should be praying for each other. Thanks to those of you who have posted thus
far.
I am so impressed by the service that we continue to perform in our communities and the world. We are,
without a doubt, making a positive difference in the lives of others. I cannot say thank you enough to all of you for
what you do. Let us “Love it! Share it! Live it!” – The Formula. If people see the passion that you have for service,
they will want it. By our example, there is no reason that people should not be clamoring to be a part of something
so positive in a sometimes negative environment.
We are definitely getting back to basics. It has been heartwarming to hear the Six Objects of Kiwanis being
recited at clubs and Divisions; hearing and observing the impactful service that is being performed; observing great
relationships between Kiwanis clubs and our Service Leadership Programs; and hearing about plans for Young
Children:Priority One. Keep up the amazing work!
Thank you also for embracing my Governor’s Project, Christmas in July, which is to provide personalized
necessities for homeless children who I refer to as the “invisible homeless”. I will continue to include this in my
messages as these homeless children exist everywhere and are in dire need of our help. The number one need of a
homeless child is underwear (including diapers and socks); the second greatest need is shoes, followed by clothing.
Please find it in your hearts to adopt a homeless family, a shelter, or numerous shelters where these children reside
on a very short term basis. If you are able to capture those on the streets, in cars, bushes, or under bridges, let us
help them. These children are not homeless for any fault of their own. Please plan a special fun day for them where
they can receive their personalized necessities and forget their plight, if only for a few hours. This can be done on a
Club or Divisional level.
Thanks again for all that you do. Be blessed always!
Peace and Love,
Peace and Love,
Celia D. A. Earle, Ph.D.

SUPPORT
TEAM!!
We are lucky to have Championed with these fine sponsors in the past and their continued support is a
main cog in our wheel of giving back to the community.
Over the last few years, they have shared with us some great giveaways and other opportunities to help
give back to the children of Flagler County.

THE SIX OBJECTS OF KIWANIS
Object 1 - To give primacy to the human and spiritual rather than to the material values of life.
Object 2 - To encourage the daily living of the Golden Rule in all human relationships.
Object 3 - To promote the adoption and the application of higher social, business, and professional standards.
Object 4 - To develop, by precept and example, a more intelligent, aggressive, and serviceable citizenship.
Object 5 - To provide, through Kiwanis clubs, a practical means to form enduring friendships, to render altruistic
service, and to build better communities.
Object 6 - To cooperate in creating and maintaining that sound public opinion and high idealism which make
possible the increase of righteousness, justice, patriotism, and goodwill.
