Registration for Annual Pass Members opens January 25,
2016 and for all others on February 1, 2016.
Hello AquaCamp Family and Friends,
We have been gearing up for summer camp all year and are excited to see many new and familiar faces for
Summer Camp 2016 at The Florida Aquarium! Several of our favorite educators are returning, as
well as some new faces, to make this summer better than ever. From innovative engaging onsite
camp learning spaces in the Carol J. and Barney Barnett Learning Center, to SCUBA camps
and exciting new travel camp themes, we are always searching for the next great summer
camp experience.
Starting this year we are going to highlight an animal, and we’d like to make it
“transparent” that 2016 is the year of the jelly! Notice we didn’t call them jellyfish,
because they aren’t fish at all. They’re actually 95-98% water. Jellies, also known as
sea jellies, are found in fresh and salt water all over our blue planet. Read through the
catalog for fun facts about jellies and be sure to float on by our Facebook page for
special offers and contests throughout the summer.
This summer also marks the final stage of our Rising Tides Capital Campaign. The
Explore A Shore play area received a makeover, and we are in the process of building
the MOSAIC Event Center, which will be located on the third floor. As we complete
construction, you might see decorated walls around the Aquarium to direct guests
around the construction and to keep the animals safe. The Aquarium will be open as
normal during construction.
Sincerely,
Tristin Ware

• Summer can be a time of afternoon thundershowers and all
day downpours. There may be times that plans are altered,
especially for travel camps. In these instances, The Florida
Aquarium has rainy day plans and will make decisions for the
safety of campers. We make every effort to resume our
plans as soon as possible.
• Inclement weather is weather that is severe
enough to stop us from doing our regularly
scheduled program in order to provide safe
experiences. Hurricanes and hurricane
preparations are also considered
inclement weather.
• Since The Florida Aquarium does not
have control over inclement weather
we WILL NOT GIVE REFUNDS DUE TO
