Carthage High School was
completed in the spring of
2009, opening for classes
in the fall. The new building
was designed to support
the school’s mission: to
promote life long learning
through academics,
community involvement &
extra-curricular activities.
SSI Furnishings worked
directly with the school to
select the best furniture
available from Artcobell &
Midwest Folding for each
of the spaces.
The emphasis was placed
on creating dynamic
educational environments,
aligning with the school’s
earnest, forward-looking
mindset & curriculum.
The shared spaces within
the school were designed
to accommodate a variety
of uses. For instance,
the cafeteria quickly
transforms into a meeting
space or performance
area. Midwest Folding’s
Round Mobile Tables allow
for quick & safe mobility
when reconfiguring.
The classroom
environments were
designed with flexibility
in mind. The furniture
selected allows for
traditional classroom
settings when testing and
rearranges easily to create
groups when collaborating
on projects & assignments.
Prodigy z-leg desks & z-leg
chairs provide functional
classroom environments
with a sleek, modern
look, complementing the
aesthetics of the school.
