Chemistry in the Cemetery July 24 1:00pm You will see how ice and chemicals destroy gravestones as you learn about erosion and the effects of acid rain and biological growths. Experiment with different minerals to understand how geology affects how well gravestones stand up to the test of time. Ages 7-12. Registration required. Erupting Volcano Workshop July 25 10:00am July 29 2:00pm July 30 3:30pm This 3-day workshop starts Friday when you build your own volcano. Your creation needs time to dry, but stop by the library on Tuesday between 2-3 pm to paint and decorate your masterpiece. On Wednesday at 3:30 pm you'll use science to make your volcano erupt! This project will be messy, so dress accordingly. Ages 8-12. Registration required. Dragons & Dreams with Sciencetellers July 28 2:00pm In a faraway world with castles, kings, dragon keepers, ice sorceresses, and a powerful item known as the Horn of Fire, two villagers must take a daring journey to release the dragons and save the entire kingdom! Learn about the science of fire and ice through the tale of "Dragons & Dreams." Wouldn't dragon's breath be an amazing sight to see?
