The Café, Bar, Restaurant and Pizzeria at Camping Village Mare Pineta are situated close to the swimming
pool area. The restaurant opens early every day to serve excellent breakfasts to campsite residents.
For lunch or dinner enjoy tasty local, Italian and international meat and fish dishes made by the chefs at
the Camping Village. The pizzeria offers a wide selection of pizzas, also available using a handy takeaway
service. The Rilke Bar, which borders the famous path after which it is named, offers the opportunity to
enjoy a snack, aperitif or cold drink while admiring the breathtaking view of the Gulf of Trieste.

Sport & FUN
Camping Village Mare Pineta offers a range of different sports such as tennis, volleyball and football, a gym, as
well as diving and sailing on the beach in the Sistiana Bay.
The Camping Village Mare Pineta entertainment staff organises a daily programme of events for campsite
residents: a gentle exercise workout in the morning, activities and tournaments for adults and children during
the day and shows, cabaret and variety performances in the evenings.
The Miniclub service is available with fun activities and games to interest children of all ages.
The location of the campsite and the presence of numerous paths in natural landscape such as the famous Rilke
path offer the opportunity to go hiking, mountain biking or enjoy easy walks admiring the wonderful views over
the Bay of Sistiana and Gulf of Trieste.

ITINERARIES & EXCURSIONS
Art, culture and history are synonymous with Trieste. Famous for its monuments and “palazzi”, the city
offers the chance to appreciate the perfect blend of cultures and traditions.
Castles and nature reserve
The camping Village is about 1 km from the castle of Duino and about 1 km from the famous castle of
Miramare. The nature reserve of the Cona Island is a very interesting excursion giving you the opportunity
to enjoy the atmosphere of the lagoon.
The city of Trieste: cultural excursion
The city of Trieste is about 18 km from the Campsite. A fascinating stroll to explore the center and the
artistic and architectural beauties of the city.
Wine and food tasting
Near the Village you can follow the road of Terrano wine. This route connects restaurants with typical
traditional flavours. The local cuisine is a combination of cultures from different areas (Veneto, Friuli,
Slovenia and Austria)
Mountainbiking
Many routes to discover the Karsic environment. Historic sites and picturesque places where time seems to stand still.
Caving Trip
The Karstic area of Trieste is rich in natural caves and grottoes. Do not miss a visit to the Grotta Gigante, the
largest caves in the world. A few kilometers away, in Slovenia, you can visit the famous Caves of Postumia
and San Canziano.
Climbing Excursions
The Falesie are an ideal gym for fans of the sport climbing.
Horseback riding
Through the Carso admiring the beauty of nature. A few kilometres from the Village you can visit Lipica,
which is famous for breeding the famed Lipizzaner Horses.
