Welcome Note
The development of the railway corridor between the North Sea harbour in Rotterdam and the
Mediterranean harbour in Genoa is one of the most important transport projects in Europe.
The north-south railway axis known as “Corridor 24” in the European planning of traffic routes leads
through four countries and connects European top regions with an enormous economic power, a
high population density and a growing traffic volume.
Mannheim as a significant railway intersection is centrally located on axis no. 24. Therefore, the
improvement of this traffic corridor is also of great importance for the future economic development
of the Metropolitan Region Rhine-Neckar.

The future development of the European Corridor 24 Rotterdam-Genoa is of great importance – not
only for local and regional authorities. It also concerns numerous enterprises along the northsouth corridor that have a vital interest in the further improvement of transport capacities and the
removal of bottlenecks. The European Corridor Conference on 7 May 2010 will gather all relevant
stakeholders from fields like logistics, harbours, railway, spatial planning and politics in the centre
of the corridor: In Mannheim.

Terms and Conditions of Participation

8. Terms of Payment
All invoices will be sent out at the latest 6 weeks before the European Corridor
Conference Rotterdam - Genoa begins. If invoices have to be correctetd due
to missing or false information from the adress array above, we will have to
charge an extra fee of 60.- Euro.
All monetary amounts calculated by the m:con that appear on the invoice are
to be paid in full by the date stated on the invoice. In the case of a failure to
make payment or a late payment, a default interest in the amount of 3.5% p.a.
over the fixed bank rate of the Federal Bank of Germany will be charged.

5. Prices
Please refer to the Sponsorship Registration Form for the prices and to the
General Information for Sponsors and Exhibitors pages to review what is
included in the various sponsorship packages.
6. Authorisation
Applications for the use of a Hospitality Lounge and/or to become a Congress
Sponsor will be reviewed by and decided on by m:con. Upon acceptance you
will receive a letter of confirmation along with the official contract papers in the
post. Once you have signed the contract and sent it back to the organizer, this
contract will become binding. Any reservations or conditions included in the
registration form require a written confirmation by the organiser to take effect.
The m:con may for justifiable reasons, in particular if the amount of available
time or numbers is not sufficient, and in the interests of all concerned, exclude
individual sponsors from participating in the conference, in particular if it would
serve the purpose of the onference to limit the participants to a certain group
of suppliers. Additionally the m:con is entitled to change the location of the
Hospitality Lounges after consultation with the Sponsor.
7. Registration Cancellation or Revocation of Contract
Cancellations of contracts will be accepted at no additional cost should they
take place before February 5th, 2010. Should, however, a reservation for the
Hospitality Lounge and/or Sponsorship contract be cancelled by the Sponsor at
a later date than February 5th, 2010, then the m:con is entitled to invoice the
Sponsor for the entire (100%) of the arranged contractual price if the m:con is
not able to acquire a substitute reservation and/or sponsor. Should the m:con
find a substitute then the Sponsor will only be charged 25% of the arranged
contract price.

9. Insurance
The sponsor is liable for any and all personal injuries or property damages
that might arise in the course of his/her activities. We recommend that the
sponsor be in the possession of or take out for the time of the conference
a suitable personal insurance policy. While the conference is being held, the
m:con will only be liable for general third party risks and will therefore open
up a third party insurance policy solely for the duration of the conference itself
(for personal injury and property damage) for which the m:con can be held
liable according to liability regulations. The m:con will not be held responsible
for any and all outside objects brought into the Congress Center Rosengarten
by a third party.
10. Catering / Decoration
Additional costs for catering or decoration will be the responsibility of the
Sponsor. All food and beverages offered to the participants must be acquired

11. Non-smoking Rules
There is a strict ban on smoking in all rooms of the conference hall during all
events taking place here. Violation of this rule is at your own risk.
12. Miscellaneous Regulations
The Sponsor is entitled to cancel the contract or reduce the amount oweable
should he/she be able to prove that the m:con has been the cause of
considerable defects in the contract or breach of contract. Likewise, m:con is
entitled to cancel the contract if the Sponsor reneges on his/her performance
and payments in spite of reminders and will not settle on the fixing of such at
a later date.

You will receive a confirmation within three days after receipt of your stand registration. If you do not receive a confirmation, please get in touch with the
above-mentioned contact immediately.
On submitting this registration, the overleaf conditions of participation are accepted explicitly and become part of the agreement. Agreements running counter to
these terms are not concluded.

11. Insurance
The exhibitor is liable for any personal injury and any damage to property that may
occur as a result of operating the objects and goods exhibited by him. It is advisable
for the exhibitors to take care of an adequate insurance cover. The organizer accepts
only the general liability for the exhibition. He takes out a personal liability insurance
for the exhibition, for personal injury and damage to property for which he can be
hold liable according to liability regulations. Articles brought to the venue are at the
owner‘s risk; the organizer and the managing company accept no responsibility for
articles deposited.

5. Rent for stand
The rent for the stand per sqm stand area is:

All prices are plus the statutory VAT.
The minimum stand area for rent is 6 sqm.
The rent for the stand includes:
Rent of the stand area during the exhibition, time for installation and removal, general
illumination and cleaning of corridors.
Furniture, electricity and additional equipment can be rented and will be charged
separately. Further information about this will be sent to you together with the stand
confirmation.
6. Registration
The organiser decides on the registration of the registering exhibitor and the
registered objects for the exhibition by means of a written confirmation. By means of
registration, the contract comes into being. Any reservations or conditions included in
the registration require a written confirmation by the organiser to take effect. It is not
allowed to sublet the stand area to others and needs to be permitted explicitly by the
organiser. The organiser may charge an additional fee for the sublet of the stand area.
The organiser may exclude individual exhibitors or suppliers from the exhibition for
objectively justified reasons, especially in case of lacking space and if it is essential to
limit the exhibition to certain groups of exhibitors or suppliers in order to achieve the
aim of the exhibition. Furthermore, the organiser can restrict the registered objects
for the exhibition and to alter the registered area.
7. Exhibitors
Companies out of the following fields are allowed to participate in the exhibition:
Consigners, Logistic providers, Spatial planners, service provider/suppliers and others.
8. Withdrawal from registration / Revocation of registration
After being granted the registration, the exhibitor has to pay the full rent for the
stand even if he withdraws or does not participate. In addition to that, the organiser
reserves the right to claim for damages. If the stand area can be on-rented, the
organiser will be entitled to claim for cancellation costs of 25 % of the charged rent for
the stand against the first tenant who has withdrawn from the contract. The organiser
has the right to revoke the registration and to on-rent the stand area:
- if the stand is not occupied recognizably in time (see point 13)
- if the rent for the stand is not paid by the fixed date
- if the exhibitor misses a grace period given by the organiser
9. Terms of payment
All amounts charged by the organiser are net, payable by the date stated on the
stand confirmation / invoice. If the rent is not received within the specified time, the
exhibitor will not be entitled to participate in the industrial exhibition, regardless of
the continuation of his obligation to pay.
An interest for default of 3.5 % p. a. above the discount fixed by the Federal Bank will
be charged in case of late payment
10. Advertising
Any sort of advertising is only allowed within the stand rented by the exhibitor and
only for the exhibitor’s own company and the exhibited articles manufactured or
distributed by the exhibitor’s own company. All advertising effort outside the stand
area has to be approved by the organiser of the exhibition.

12. Alterations
The organizer reserves the right to cancel the exhibition, to alter the date and the
duration, as well as the venue of the exhibition or, if the space situation, regulations
by the au-thorities or other compelling circumstances in the organizer‘s opinion
require, to move, to alter in terms of dimension or to restrict the area put at the
exhibitor‘s disposal. The exhibitor may not claim damages or withdraw from the
contract as a result of this.
13. Times for installation and removal*

Stands that have not been started to be installed - without prior agreement with the
organizer - by Thursday, 6 May, 2010 04.00 p.m. will not be considered any more and
will be treated as withdrawal from registration (see point 8).

For safety-relevant reasons, an early removal is forbidden! If the instruction is defied,
the exhibitor is charged with a penalty under a contract of half the rent for the stand.
At the end of that period of time, the stands respectively the exhibits will be removed
at the cost of the exhibitor and without any liability on the part of the organizer‘s.
14. List of exhibitors
On the occasion of the European Corridor Conference Rotterdam - Genoa,
a list of exhibitors will be published. There is no responsibility on the organizer‘s part
in case of missing or faulty entries, printing errors, etc.
15. Stand construction / Stand design / Safety regulations
All stands have to be installed as self-supporting constructions. Fastenings on the
walls, pillars and floors of the halls are not allowed. Pillars, buttresses, projections etc.
within the exhibition area are part of the allocated space. The exhibitor is liable for
any damage owing to violations.
The organizer reserves the right to ask the exhibitor to alter inadequate stand
constructions or to remove unsuitable objects that prove to be a nuisance or a danger
to the visitors or to neighbouring exhibitors.
In general, a maximum flooring height of 2.5 cm is permitted. Exceeding construction
heights require a written approval by the organizer and have to show canted edges.
Fire alarms, hydrants, electrical distributors, switchboards and telephone distributors
have to be accessible. It is prohibited to use open fire or naked light, e. g. spirit, fuel
oil, gas etc.
All kind of material used for stand construction and decoration have to be flameresistant. During installation and removal, as well as during the exhibition, all
regulations by the police and the authorities have to be observed. Sticking of floor
coverings is only allowed by means of readily soluble adhesives. The exhibitor will
be charged with the cost of special cleaning in case of tape remnants. Sticking up of
advertising material on the walls, pillars or other parts of the venue is not allowed.
16. Exhibitions sponsored by the Industry
Events sponsored by the industry are not allowed to take place directly before, during
or directly after the congress without prior consultation with the organizer.
17. Catering
Food and beverages for catering on your stand are provided by the service partner of
Congress Center Rosengarten - Mannheim:

Please note that orders for food and beverages can only be placed via this licensed
caterer. If you wish to be supplied by another service or you wish to bring your own
beverages and food to be given out to others, prior consultations are required. In both
cases, the service partner may charge a fee for the transfer of its catering rights.
18. Ban on smoking
Inside the exhibition buildings, smoking is strictly forbidden on all days of installation
and removal, as well as during the exhibition. The exhibitor is liable if the ban is
defied.
19. Place of performance / Place of jurisdiction
Place of performance and place of jurisdiction for all mutual obligations is Mannheim,
Germany.
